I was skeptical of this place for the longest time because of the way it looks. Yes, I totally ‘judged a book by its cover.’ But honestly ambiance IS part of the package, and I don’t typically go for sports bars. I HATE sports. And loud tvs. The first time we came, I wanted dessert. We were walking around downtown looking for something, but we didn’t know what. I looked at the menu on the door and saw the cookie sundae thing, and said, «Sure, why not.» Ok so. This cookie sundae thing turned out to be DELICIOUS. The cookie was hot and fresh and THICK, oozing with melty chocolate chips. It was served with vanilla ice cream on top, a perfect pairing. We ended up back here again yesterday, again sort of by accident. We had wanted to try Anya’s, but for some reason the guy refused to come over and take our order. Seriously. My bf was starving, so we got up and left. At RedZone, I tried the Oriental Chicken Salad and my bf got the Steak salad with the blue cheese. My salad was fantastic. It was enormous. I can’t really think of any ways to improve it. RedZone serves up all American food with friendly service. The only downside is the screaming broski dads, but, this place is kinda FOR them, so I can’t really complain.

They have a ton of televisions and offer coverage of all types of sports, not just football. That’s pretty much the only good thing about this place. They charge 4bucks for a Coors Light, serve their nachos on stale chips, and the service is terrible sine the waitresses can’t get to you if you are sitting in the middle of their tightly packed tables. There are better sports bars in the area. Don’t bother with this one.

Great menu– best bloody mary in town! The reason for the 4 is even though the service is good– it’s super slow! From getting food and drinks even when you’re the only person there, takes a while.

I went there with a girlfriend before Sunday brunch. We both ordered a mimosa. They were served in rocks glasses… with ice. What the heck?

This bar and the food is much better than your average sports bar. The food is prepared very well with a lot of taste; it’s not thrown together or fried w/o any flavor, as is with most typical sports bars. I ordered the spicy turkey, and it was much better than I imagined. The fries are fresh cut, which brings this place up another notch. The service was great, friendly, and punctual, which brings it up even another notch. They also have a lot of TV’s, playing every sport on cable. I’ll definitely be coming back here when I return to Ashland. In the meantime, anyone considering this place should make an effort pop in, eat some food, watch lots of sports, and have a great time.

This is the coolest sports bar, or any bar, that I have been in in a long time. The owners, Austin and his wife Chanel, are fun people and the atmosphere and décor are totally relaxing. We went here with friends and Austin and Chanel took the time to laugh and joke with us, even though they are Cowboy fans, and we are 49er fans! Oh, and the food and drinks are first rate too… This is actually a review from February 2012 that got stuck in Unilocal’s system so, as an addendum, we have been to the Red Zone many times since and have become friends with Austin and Chanel and watched their new baby grow up. You just can’t go wrong with this place. It is on our must visit list whenever we go to, or through, Ashland.

Staff friendly and attentive — 5 stars. TVs everywhere so excellent sports coverage — 5 stars. Beer — according to friends 4 stars. The restaurant area not as comfortable but its a sports bar so — 3 stars. The food, however, is just plain pub food. There wasn’t anything unique about the food to remember. Also, no one in our group made a comment about the food — got a couple of raves on the beer but nothing on the food. Unless there is a game or games you want to watch with friends, and want a little pampering with good service and beer, I wouldn’t recommend this bar and grill for the food alone.

Small sports bar — plenty of tv screens. Good beer selection. Hot wings were good. Burgers were good. One complaint — fried pickles — they are big wedges. Should be sliced like chips. Complaint #2 — it’s a sports bar. We were there to watch Warriors playoff game. Two patrons began arguing loudly and at length about Portland vs. Ashland as a better place to live. IT’S A SMALLSPORTSBAR, NOT A TALKSHOWDEBATE! Watch the game!!! why next time I’ll stay home.(Not Redzone’s fault, but if this is their regular patronage, no thanks.)

The newest restaurant in this location looks like it will last. I’m not much for sports bars but the place I was to have lunch up the street was closed. Here my order was a ruben sandwich with fries without the Russian dressing. The hot sandwich came on toasted rye bread with sauerkraut and beef. It was good but not outstanding. The fries include the skin, were well cooked but a bit greasy. Half the amount was all I wanted. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The room has TVs on nearly every wall; all showing sports of course. While breakfast is served while it is open, the bar doesn’t open until 11 a.m.

This little sports bar in Ashland was perfect for my needs. As I was passing thru on my way to the Rose Bowl I needed a place to stop. Get some food and watch the 2nd half of the Blazers game. First I was greeted with a friendly person who showed me the Best view for Blazers game. Then I got my order in and needed a rest room. The rest rooms were clean and we’ll kept. Thank you. I got my cold beer and food in a timely manner and we got a Blazers Victory. The pub food was good and alot of good television s with a variety of sports on. I rate the Red Zone high and will be back. Keep up the good work.

Red Zone has a great setup and a great beer selection. The bartender, Adam, is a great guy. :) Despite the overtly sexual nature of the bar clientele, he managed to do a great job keeping everyone happy. Also does a great job with the food.

Red Zone had surprisingly good food for a sports bar. Usually you don’t really care as long as the food’s not bad. But my patty melt was very good(in the world of patty melts) and the fries were crunchy and spicy. Perfect. Add a good beer selection and about 20 TVs and here’s your place to watch a game in Ashland.

Great place to catch just about any game. They even turned on the Giants spring training game for us. Service is good, lots of tap selections and great burger.

this was our choice with our one night stay in Ashland. Not many places were open, not many in our price range. reviews were decent so we gave it a shot. They layout was cool, ive always enjoyed the brick something about it makes places feel homey. I had chicken wings(that was something that was recommended) but I was disappointed. but I was sooo hungry after our long drive it was fine. not a place I would go again if I had better options. The staff lacked a little, empty water glasses, took a while to bring the beers. it was a busy night with a game on, maybe they just needed an extra set of hands to up the customer service.

The service was good, and the atmosphere was fine for a sports bar. I liked the brick wall. Our table was extremely wobbly, we almost lost our beer. The beer was good, but its hard to mess up beer. The food was not great. We both had burgers, they were a little over cooked and lacked flavor. The bbq sauce tasted like cheap bottled sauce. The bacon was pretty good. The onion rings I got were obviously bagged, they reminded me of something from a cheap fast food restaurant. The lettuce was super crappy shredded iceburg. My husband’s sweet potato fries were burnt and almost inedible. Not a bad place to grab a drink, especially if you like sports(lots of large tvs, easy to see from just about everywhere). But I will not eat here again.

I love RedZone… All sports, all the time! The service is always good. The waitresses are always super attentive. The owners are really friendly, too. Always a good selection of beers on tap and cider(My fav)! They also have a mug club that my boyfriend belongs to. Buy a mug and receive a discount on drafts. The food is also really good. The burgers are made fresh, not frozen so they are cooked how you like. My favorite is the Bacon Blue. I’ve had the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich-yum. And the tri-tip dip sandwich is also so yummy! I ask for grilled onions/peppers added and they happily oblige. The chicken strips are nothing special, however they do the trick when you are in the mood for them. My favorite food item at RedZone? The fries. Always salty, crispy and hot. Mmmm… You can even add garlic and feta cheese! Delicious. My boyfriend and I have become«regulars» here as we frequent the bar almost every weekend. We just can’t stay away!
