Enjoyed a nice lunch with the family. Great kids menu and we enjoyed their beer and cider. I had the lamb burger that was excellent. I will say we all though their fries were bland. They come with garlic on them, but their appeared to be no other seasoning on them, I actually added salt to them, which is something i never do. Other than that, a good meal with great service.

Service was great and staff were very accommodating. Unfortunately, food was bland and uninteresting. Everything needed a lot of salt except for the kimchi Caesar salad which was too spicy to eat. We sent it back. Lovely staff resolved it for regular Caesar. The $ 7 kids Parmesan and salt pasta plate was skimpy and unenticing. Lovely staff quickly brought more parm. Love the staff, restaurant sustainability ethics, and the beer. Very disappointed in the food.

Super consistent menu and staff. Good food, always fresh, surprisingly local ingredients utilized. Awesome ownership group, always friendly with a smile and a greeting. Literally no parking. During the sunshine beautiful sundeck for eating a meal with friends and sharing laughter. Gets very busy on weekends, but worth the wait. Thank you Alex and Danielle. Rs

Stopped in for lunch on our way back to California. Chose the wrong place to go! ½ an hour wait for seat, ½ an hour for food. We are foodies if the food was good it would have been worth it, but I am sorry to say that the food was subpar and the service really was lacking.

In the name of all things delicious, order the brussel sprout appetizer. Delicious! Hard Apple Cider was sweet, but good. It’s a brewery, but I was disappointed by the burger. Chewy bread, overdone meat. Fries and homemade ketchup were great. Loved the service though and will be back to explore the menu

Garlic fries are seasoned well and thick I got the black and blue burger and it made me like the onions and blue cheeese, that I’m not normally a fan of, because the whole burger works. the place has a nice ambiance and their home made sodas are fantastic and less unhealthy than name and store brand sodas.

Host was very quick to get family of 5 seated. (Waiter was very helpful in making us aware of Siskiyou pass snow hazards thanks) Waiter very helpful Got the Habenuro Burger — very awesome. If you can handle the heat I recommend. Won’t be dissappointed. Location with parking across street. Rustic look.

Had the Reuben sandwich as my entrée for dinner. It was good, but the meat was piled in one place which made it awkward to eat. Had to disassemble and redistribute the meat across the bread. The trouble with Reuben’s is having one side of the sandwich soggy as it sits on the plate waiting to be eaten while the top side remains crunchy. Not their fault, just the nature of the sandwich. The red beer and cabbage mixture on it was delicious. The fries were alright but seemed too fluffy and soft for my liking. I prefer more crunch to my fries. The corned beef was very good though. I would probably order it again.

This place is fine. It is the best dining in Ashland? Hell no. Is it more reasonably priced than most dining in Ashland? Hell ya. I’ve eaten a few things here; all are hit and miss. HITS: Quinoa burger. Lobster taco. MISSES: Garlic fries(too soggy/soft, not crispy enough); fried brussels sprouts(I love these but they’re also kinda soggy and not as crispy/small/flavorful here as other places); fish and chips. Decent wine list if you’re not in the mood for beer.

Fantastic beers! Really like the farmer brown, the double IPA, and the barley wine. They have great vegetarian options, and we ordered the brussels sprouts and the black bean chili. Portions were huge, and we had to cut ourselves off from the dessert, which we really wanted, but decided it would be overkill. Friendly staff(Jacob, our server, was wonderful!) and nice atmosphere. Found out they farm most of their ingredients. Can’t go wrong with Oregon breweries!

Great setting first off. Our family is from southern california and we fell in love with the setting and surroundings. Really good food and good brews. I had a fish special and it turned out great. The temp might need to be turned down because its stuffy. Then again we went in summer. Nevertheless I didnt make a big deal because it smells great, food tastes delicious, and brew was good. Thanks i love ashland

Dancing. Doing a happy dance for Standing Stone! Come from California recently, Bay Area, spoiled brat! Work IN the food/wine biz. Head home to visit family, coming and going; Standing Stone. Only complaint is that it is off-freeway in Ashland with no parking, but that’s probably a good thing(except the parking part). But that’s not the fault of this place. The food is fresh and solid. Their little wine list works. Their beers tasty. Service is always solid. Strangely, Ashland is a town in need of some reliable fresh food. Standing Stone fits the bill. Back to the happy dance.

Wow what a great brewery in Ashland! We discovered this brewery just by strolling past and were so glad we chose it for lunch. We each ordered water and iced tea and they came out along with glass jugs with extra water and iced tea. Love that as this way, we don’t have to bother the waitstaff for more to drink. Excellent touch! Up first was the chicken soup. Omg was grandma in the kitchen making this? It was tremendous! Fresh with homemade noodles. Terrific! I had the chicken shawarma with a side salad and it was a taste sensation. Adding $ 2 to the price to get a small amount of greens vs. greasy French fries almost made me reduce this review by one star, but everything was so good that it’s just not worth it. My guy had the taco salad and loved it! The waiter we had was on the ball(his name was Colby) and he was just terrific. He knows his job! He was friendly, attentive and got the order right. Great job Colby! We will be back!

Great food for a brewery. Food is a bit fancier than you would find at other breweries and that’s reflected in the prices too. I tried the charbroiled 5-spice ginger teriyaki ribs. Holy crap that sauce is amazing! The dish comes with sweet potato fries, which comes with a really good dip. The place doesn’t have a TV though, which was a bit disappointing. One of the things I like about breweries back home is being able to enjoy some beer and food with friends while watching a game playing on a screen somewhere. You won’t get that here.

We had the best experience with Standing Stone this weekend. First, we had many guests in town for our wedding and decided last minute to try to coordinate a dinner with early out-of-town guests the night before festivities began. I called Standing Stone and they were so flexible(I didn’t know how many people would be coming) and accommodating even with such late notice. Awesome service as always. Our friends and family were very impressed with the beer and food. We also order two kegs for our rehearsal dinner and they made the process very easy from picking out the beers to how to use the equipment. Thanks for everything!

A great place to come in for a midday beer. It’s quiet, the bartender was great, and the service was prompt. I really enjoyed my time there. I’ll return next time I’m in Ashland. Thanks, guys!

Service seemed sluggish, not sure if there may have been issues in the kitchen? But drinks were slow too, so I’m not sure if that’s it. Clam chowder was tasty but thin. Deep-fried brussels sprouts were interesting but the serving size for a starter was HUGE. Hubby had the pork chop special — he said the chop itself was terrific(tender and flavorful) but the accompaniments were disappointing. I had the cobb salad, and I enjoyed the protein(s) for the most part but the lettuce was a variety that was difficult to eat with grace and the chicken breast was WAY overdone. Some positives, some negatives. Hubby liked the beer he tried(I had wine…).

Come for the beer, eat somewhere else. The beer was great, got a sampler and enjoyed everything. Then our food arrived. If I order a $ 13 hamburger(that doesn’t even come with fries) then I expect it to be cooked to my preference. My «medium-rare» burger was so well done ketchup couldn’t save it. And a $ 13 burger should not need ketchup. The rest of the evening I regretted not sending it back to the kitchen. What a disappointment. I’ll come back for the beer though.

The quality of the meals continues its downward trend. The coleslaw was wilted & has no detectable sauce. The bread came with a large block of plain butter – no longer the small scoops of flavored butter. The dinner salad was just red & green lettuce with fingered glassed walnuts.

I keep replaying a mediocre middle-earth pub, morphed into a contemporary mess hall pleasing to the beer loving compadres(please don’t kill me micro-brew gangs!). It’s a family friendly setting with tanks of steel but no killer clout in the kitchen. Digs: Doors opened to a hoppin’(pardon the pun) entry to their bar side seating; glistening beer drums on our right and limited table layout on the left; we continued forward and thrust ourselves past the bathrooms and chaotic waitstaff that scurried about with an industrial rack plating system; after the narrow hallway we entered the open dinning room, turned left into a nook of 4 – 5 tables moderately lit; loud and lively elevator flamenco music blared like a college singles bar which caused requests to adjust the volume — wish granted; Ate: Chardonnay Fondue with Assorted Dipping Treats — a cheesy street drug; in other words easily consumed with a smile and green apples, figs and a scrumptious naan/flat bread; Ruben Sandwich — a comfort-blanket of grilled desire — not so stellar sauerkraut with pulverized corned beef and I’m guessing thousand island dressing; with more beer it would have hit the spot with greasy moans of pleasure but when sober it’s a simple toasted sammy; House Salad — …and you too can make this salad in the convenience of your home salad; overpriced, decorated with«stout» candied walnuts which really did not distinguish themselves from the the normal candied lineup, added a sweetness but no uniqueness spin on a hip bar salad; Drank: Milk and Honey Beer — yeast overload like a liquid loaf of bread; it’s flavor seemed to be off or maybe marketing to a different palette; Farmer Brown — a decent brew with a light hop profile; nicely blended with our meal; again I’m no expert nor hop-head; Service: Our waitress sparkled with the raucous group including checkups and conversation from our side of the table; she was bubbly to the high-maintenance birthday wishes; Overall: Standing Stone is an easy digest with strong service detail but slips on the beer consistency and settles into the typical brewery/eatery trend. If Stone desires a passionate brewery focus menu prices need to drop. They best Caldera but joust with little armor when challenged by their northern neighbors Eugene and Portland.
