A little shady looking on the outside, but it’s a nice breakfast/brunch place on the inside! Very convenient from the highway and the servers are super nice! Freshly brewed iced tea! I’m glad we stopped by!

Don’t judge by the 60’s appearance, the food is great and prices are right. Garlic burger with garlic fries(we’re from California) were yummy.

We were looking for a place to spend the night and just found this place next to it. Great country style breakfast. Flavors were optimal. Staff were friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic!!! We rolled into town and stayed across the street at the hotel, needing food badly we went to the Wild Goose. We got there before they were about to close and they were so accommodating. Knowing we had been traveling and were in need for foods they were so polite and served the best pepper jack quesadilla I have had. The other people in my party got the fish and chips. The chips were so tasty and the fish was flaky and delicious. I HIGHLY recommend this place for some tasty eats and comfy seats!

Had a very nice breakfast there on vacation. Kind of an unassuming old Denny’s look to the outside of the restaurant. Kind of a light hipster vibe in the interior. Good coffee and food and reasonable costs.

The oysters and eggs are to die for. I never seen any restaurant offer oysters on their breakfast menu. Service is superb. Will come back again.

Food was mediocre(the ale shrimp had only 4 shrimp that weren’t deveined), kind of expensive for what you get($ 5 for a kids PB&J with no sides) & the service was terrible. They seem to treat the locals well. I was stopped by a potential customer in the parking lot — I told them to go to the Oak Tree café instead. Better food for the money & definitely better service. We will never return to the Wild Goose.

Unimpressed though that may have directly been the service — hard to describe, but I felt like I was being bossed around in terms of ordering, then it took a really long time to cash out. Also my appetizer came out lukewarm and when I asked to have it hot it still again came out lukewarm, and server did not really handle it that professionally. I felt sorry for her or like I was waiting on myself. If I had to guess, server hasn’t been serving that long. I kinda wish I had come a bit later and been taken care of by the older lady instead. As to food — it’s decent, but not worth price. A bit better than an Applebee’s or chilis so nothing to write home about. Usually a ridiculous over tipper after my years in the business, I just left 10%. Id give it another chance and eat there if I was super hungry and on the road, but nothing to write home about.

Best food I’ve had in 3 years, no joke! This place blows away a lot of places. Mediterranean Linguine was amazing!

Upon arriving at the goose, we stood awkwardly at the door while the waitress was completely unaware of our presence for about 5 minutes. When we were noticed we were told to sit«wherever is clean.» We weren’t given any menus to look through so after awhile I asked for the menus so we could choose our meals. After the food arrived(which was in a timely manner) we were dissatisfied with the concerning amount of salt on the fries. I mean, so salty they remained untouched. After eating our mediocre meals, we waited 20 minutes to get the check. We even had our plates nicely stacked on the table edge as a gesture of being finished. We were never asked if the food tasted alright or if we wanted any water in our empty glasses. Eventually we went to the cash register to get the tab from another waitress due to the absence of ours. I left feeling so sad about the money I spent here.

My husband and I went on an epic road trip(I call it that because we were going to drive STRAIGHT to Victoria, British Columbia for a 1 week vacation), it was so much fun! We had to stop for gas around 10PM — we asked the guy working there if this restaurant was good(it was next to it) — he recommended it and so we went, I’m so glad we did!!! Food — amazing!!! We had the sriracha prawns — tiger prawns sautéed with mushrooms, bell pepper, & garlic in a spicy sriracha chardonnay butter sauce. Also ordered the smoked salmon linguine — love how it was cooked! On the way back from Victoria, we already knew where we wanted to eat for lunch — this time we ordered the ale-battered prawns served with cocktail sauce and the bay shrimp cocktail. The chef was so nice to include fries!!!(I love fries!) The best part of this restaurant were the whole staff! They were very pleasant and nice to talk with — and the dishwasher(I didn’t catch his name) was really cool! I sent my compliments to the chef(I believe it was«Craig?») both when we were there for dinner and lunch. You must try this place if you’re passing through!

Never been disappointed. :)

We stayed at the Rodeway Inn next door for a few nights, so naturally we tried this place. The food was excellent: I had a steak sandwich, and the meat itself was very well cooked to order and tasty. I didn’t even need the Worcestershire sauce I requested. The service was good, too: friendly and prompt. The locals who hang out here are nice, too. Had some good conversations with people about football and Shakespeare, which is always fun. Very affordable, too, in terms of cost. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

This place is a hoot. It looks like an old Denny’s that has been taken over to provide local fresh fare. The décor has an artsy feel. The food was decent. Good fries. My French dip old had two slices of beef. A bit slim in ratio to the bread. Good favor overall. The marionberry crisp was excellent.

The staff is friendly enough. The building could use some updating, specifically the furniture which was fairly worn. The food was… meh. Nothing had much flavor. I tried the steak and eggs. The steak had no reasoning. The hash browns were a bit sorry. The bread used for the toast was pretty sad as well. More like whole wheat than rye. All in all, I’d likely choose someplace else next time.

We stopped by the café early on a Sunday morning for a filling breakfast and we were not disappointed! We both ordered omelets, the rocky mountain and its cheesy hammy gloriousness for me and my husband El guanajuato, which also did not disappoint. On top of a three-egg omelet, we got delicious homemade hash browns and potato wedges on the side. Great food, good atmosphere, good service that was prompt, yet it felt a little stiff.

Pulled in late and had a great meal. Marsala Pork Chop Garlic Mash and mix veg & Salad. Sailor Jerry and coke for me. Bacon avocado burger and salad for her. Great customer service and very good food. The place is very clean and the lighting is perfect. I wonderful stop while in Ashland and easy to get in and out!

Pan fried oysters for breakfast? Okay, sure… I can try that. I did, and I liked it. And I hate oysters, by the way. The Wild Goose Café has a Denny’s diner kind of feel, but way better food and sweet, experienced servers. Loved their sausage and their pancakes… and the coffee was good too! I debated 3 or 4 stars on this one, but because they offer A-Ok food with prices that I’m a fan of, I thought it only fair to give four stars.
