The food try’s very hard to be creative but they have a cool structure to their menu– offering an array sauces to go with meats. Deviled eggs were delightful. However, it is really overpriced and the atmosphere and vibe really drove the ‘I am paying to much for this’ point home. The staff here is a bunch of eye rolling young girls who frump around and are not attentive or even slightly warm or friendly. It was by no means busy. There was 5 adults at our table. She asked if we were ready to order, in the softest, meek, voice possible; almost as if she was depressed. One person had just put a bite of bread in their mouth and she just stared while they tried to chew enough to speak. :Commence eye roll by waitress: Then, when she collected the menus there was a drip from one of table items on it. Our party member apologized and handed it to her. :Commence additional eye roll: She also brought the incorrect beer for one of the guests, and apologized for the error but left it on the bill. Not classy. Oh, and there was a mopey hostess. She literally stood at the hostess stand, sighing and pouting. Seemingly not doing anything productive… why she was even there, I do not know. This is the 3rd time I have eaten here due to its proximity to local friends however, it will be my last and I will not recommend it for others as a place go go in the harbor.

We had dinner here last night and everything was great! We have been here a few times and each time we have really enjoyed the vibe and the food. Last night I had a bacon infused bourbon cocktail which started me off just right(in fact I had 2). For dinner I had the beef stroganoff which was the best I have ever had. The homemade pappardelle was amazing. Our server was great and it was a nice Thursday night out in Ashtabula. For sure we will be back.

By far, the gem of the Northcoast! Have been here on several occasions and always a dining experience. Most recently enjoyed the 12 oz filet, which was cooked to perfection and you could cut through it like butter. But let’s not forget the outstanding calamari, which were not over breaded and the ginger dipping sauce was light and delectable. And the peppers accompanying them were bursting with flavor adding the perfect amount of heat to compliment the calamari. Have also enjoyed the hanger steak and NY Strip which were equally as mouth watering and delicious as the filet. If you’re looking for a burger, the flagship Rennick Burger highlights a long list of specialty burgers sure to please all palates. Haven’t been here for breakfast/brunch but I cannot wait to try the short rib hash. What I also love about this place is the attention to detail when it comes to the wine list. The owners Alex and Jennifer have paid special attention to high quality wines from around the globe while also paying homage to the extra special varieties located right here in Ashtabula County. Additionally, you can’t go wrong with all of the fun craft cocktails slung from behind the bar area. Finally, you cannot leave without having dessert! I am not normally a dessert kind of guy, but the pecan pie is ridiculously exceptional, along with the strawberries and cream dish. Also have to love how they incorporate other local Bridge Street proprietors into their menu(Harbor Perk Coffee and Marianne’s Chocolates with the post dinner salted chocolate). The service has been spectacular on every visit-they make you feel welcome whether it’s your first or 10th time dining with them. So ecstatic that a fine dining establishment with such quality cuisine is located in the area. I will continue to visit several more times to come!

Over priced pretensiuos head waiter. Trying way too hard to be upscale. Not likely to return soon. Too bad. Keep it simple.

My wife and I had a great dinner on December 4th. Fantastic is the only word that can describe the food. The service was also amazing! Corey, our server, was very knowledgeable and courteous doing a fantastic job. The Ribeye steak was flavorful and exquisite with a Roasted garlic sauce. Thr mushroom swiss burger is to die for! This place is truly a great place to eat, thr cleanliness is wonderful, and we definitely will be back! Rennick Meat Market is spectacular!

We ate there with our two well behaved picky eater. They can’t wait to go back! Service was spot on and the bartenders were making up a new drink menu and let me have a sample. Delicious! Try the Governor if you go! I had the Stroganoff made with short ribs and pappardelle pasta. Yum. Fish and chips were made with Panko bread crumbs and fries were shoestring and very tasty. Salmon was also devoured from the plate. The Picahna Steak was one of the best I’ve sampled from my husband’s plate. I may have to chose that next time. Many choices of side veggies were al dente and not mushy– bonus in my book. We all had the Brown Butter Crumble for dessert and wanted to take home the recipe.

Wasn’t expecting to find a place like this on our bicycle ride from Cleveland toward Erie. Amazing food at reasonable prices recharged us for a solid afternoon of cycling.

A cozy gem in Ashtabula. My husband and I stopped here en route to Erie and we’re so happy that we did. We were the only ones in there on a weekday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. It’s a very cozy spot with it’s original character mostly in tact. The menu is wonderfully inventive and we had a hard time choosing what to order! I ordered the sausage-stuffed olives and arugula salad. Both were delicious. The service was great, but again we were the only ones there so I can’t speak for the service on a busy night. I recommend Rennick Meat Market and I am sure we will be back.

We had the calamari, crabcake, braised rabbit, braised chicken. We had no complaints about the food. The drinks were also good. The rabbit had great flavor and was filling. This was the first time I had worcetershire sauce with calamari but it was a good combination and the pickles were a refreshing touch. Hard to find something to complain about. We will try to make it back here while we’re in town.

I think this place has ruined me. The food is amazing! One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The vibe is a bit hipster but if you can move past that you are in for an incredible meal. I had a steak with bacon Mac n’ cheese and grilled veggies. By far the best steak I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The mac n’ cheese was creamy with a nice crunchy topping and I’m already craving more. The veggies were also just perfect. I love the port sampler. Great way to get a feeling for what you like. Service was impeccable and we never felt rushed. Which was nice since we definitely took our time. If you are anywhere close to the area this is a must try. I can’t wait to go back.

I’m in love with this place. Seriously one of the best foodie experiences I’ve had in a while. I’m beyond impressed. Where to begin! The space is nice. It has a nice feel to it. There is a simple beauty to the wooden tables, although the metal chairs are not the most comfortable things. It’s still got a cool vibe. The staff is great, really friendly and helpful. The menu is simple to read, laid out well, and has plenty to pick from. I also liked the mini menu that was presented to my 5 year old. Nice touch. We tried a few different drinks. First we split a bottle of local wine. I like the fact that they source locally. We also tried a «friki tiki» from the drink menu that seriously tasted like vacation on an island. Super good. I finished with a coffee infused mixed drink that was delish while the wifey tried a sampler of their finer ports. Great drinks, great selection. Our meal started with fresh muscles. They were cooked well, presented nice, and served with a sauce we both enjoyed. My entrée was braised rabbit. First, bravo for having the balls to put this on the menu. Second, they nailed it! The meat was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. It was served in a bowl with snap peas, mushrooms, and pasta and was seriously good. The light sauce added flavor yet didn’t take away from anything else. This is going on my short list for best entrée ever, yeah it was that good. Desert was light and fun. We shared chocolate fondue with strawberries, pineapple, and brownie. We had a good time dipping all the pieces while we enjoyed our desert drinks. This was an overall exceptional experience, all the way around. I’d gladly go well out of my way to return, in fact we already plan on it.

We also were disappointed in our meal after reading so many stellar reviews. We drove over from our stay in Geneva to get something a little more special than the slop on the strip. We started out with the fried beets. They were 2 slices of beets cut into quarters, they were ok but lacked seasoning. The sauce was tasty. I had the trout which also was bland. The arugula salad was the beat part of the meal. My husband had the Aussie Burger which he said had no flavor at all. The service was pleasant but very slow.

What a disappointment After reading the reviews we drove over from our stay at Geneva On The Lake. We were looking forward to a great meal. Ordered the tomato soup which was very good but not great. Also got the sausage stuffed olives which were deep fried with little sausage and VERY salty. Nothing outstanding yet but not bad either. We decided to order the burger named after this restaurant. At $ 13 we figured this would be special. Well we ordered medium and the burger came out well done. No big deal we asked for another medium with a pink middle. No such luck it was again well done and dry. No flavor and not good at all. Maybe we hit a bad afternoon but as much as I hate to give a poor review that was our experience. The waitress was pleasant but that was all that was good here on out visit.

Amazing gem in Ashtabula. The menu and décor are on par with NYC, Miami, Chicago and LA. It was fun exploring the menu — which was just updated 2 days before our visit. We started with drinks. My boyfriend had a Brooklyn craft beer and I had a Pisco Sour. My drink seemed to be a conversation starter at the bar as a few older locals began questioning the bartender/owner about what he was shakin up. Well it was only perfect Pisco Sour folks! Two thumbs up! For a few bits we ordered deviled eggs(3) and piggyback dates. The latter had us licking the bowl and fighting over the last one. The eggs had a surprising bite, and we’re good. But definitely overshadowed by the dates. For our meals, we had ceviche, schnitzel and salad. The ceviche was spicy and served a different style than what I’ve found in Miami. Salad fresh, light and flavorful. And the schnitzel had my boyfriend licking the bone. Desert was steamed lemon pudding and berries. Wow! You must try this. Simply incredible. Can’t wait to visit again and try new menu items as they update. Cheers!

Williamsburg meets Ashtabula. Amazing experience from start to finish. Cocktails crafted with local flavor and a wine menu that offers some great selections usually not offered in other places. I started off with the tomato soup served with grilled cheese croutons which was hands down the best bowl of soup I have ever had. For an entrée I had the dry aged New York strip steak with mashed potatoes and smoked bacon Mac and cheese. Amazing!!! I usually prefer wet aged steaks but this was perfect. It’s a little pricey for the market but more than reasonable for the experience. I can’t wait to go back to try the other stuff served around me.

An amazing Gem on Bridge Street in Ashtabula. I’m generally difficult to please when it comes to great dining and I was blown away. As a resident and frequenter of Cleveland’s Tremont restaurants, this great spot could compete with the best of them. My boyfriend and I wandered in, without reservations at around 6:30 to find that they were completely booked. However the owner worked swiftly to find us a table for two. The ambiance was bustling with energy, but inviting and easy to have a quiet conversation. Service was outstanding. We ordered a bottle of Merlot the waitress recommended and enjoyed the sausage stuffed olives for an appetizer — different and flavorful. I ordered the short rib dinner and my boyfriend had a steak. Both meals were extremely flavorful and the short rib had an amazing sauce that almost made it taste like a great stew. For dessert we ordered the lemon cheesecake with blueberries and I had a chamomile tea served with honey, served in in a great teapot. Overall, great meal, outstanding ambiance, and prices so affordable it was almost shocking. Great for a date night or celebration… so nice to have a spot like this on bridge street! We will definitely be back!
