The owner, Patrick, is a character. He truly appreciates your business. I have several times witnessed him introduce customers to each other. It feels more like a family than any other shop in Aspen. I have lived in Aspen for 40 years. I opened a bicycle shop here about 37 years ago. It is people like Patrick than make life enjoyable. I had been out of MTBing for many years after loosing my mojo due to the loss of an eye. Patrick insisted I take a 29er out for ride 0 no charge. I took a ride with him and then tried another 29er from him, again no charge. I purchased a Rocky Mountain 29er and have my mojo back. There are so many good bicycles on the market that the service and personality of the shop make the difference. Do NOT buy a bike until you shop at Aspen Bicycles. Tell him I sent you.

Came in here on a busy Saturday in the middle of summer needing a little help with wifey’s bike. Someone (me) had done some amateur adjusting and repairing to her ride and it it needed to be fixed. We really couldn’t have gone on riding without it getting fixed, and the owner was, thankfully, able to jump right on it, throw in a spacer on the steering tube and send us on our way. He was slammed between rentals and all kinds of other stuff and could have easily turned us away, but he didn’t.
Thank you very much for your help, we will be back next time we are in town!

Friendly shop that doesn’t make you feel like they’re doing you a favor by accepting your business and dollars. They do what they say they’ll do and they do it when they say they will. Patrick says, «Thank you» and he means it. That goes a long way in a town (and category) where customer service is sometimes lacking.

Bad experience with the English gentlemen at the desk. Not the Aspen warm welcome or business savvy employee I’ve experienced at other rental locations in the area. I will take my rental needs elsewhere. Also don’t appreciate this salesman saying «I’m busting my balls here». Very unprofessional.

I called the night before for a rental and Patrick had it all ready to go when I showed up at 7am on the dot. He’s friendly and knowledgeable, yet got me in & out of the shop very efficiently since I had some time constraints. The bike (a carbon LaPierre with Shimano 105) was a buttery ride, fit me (5’2″) well, and good value on such a nice bike at $ 45/​half day. It looked like he had some nice MTB options as well.
Between the awesome owner, quality bikes that actually fit smaller women, and 7am opening time in summers, I’m a fan.

Patrick gave me a bike fit on my Jamis and my cycling improved tremendously. I also used him for new tires, tunes, brakes etc and found him reliable and trustworthy. I then purchased a LaPierre sensium ultegra component group and am so pleased with the price and the quality of the bike. I wish he would come with me to my winter home!

I brought my bicycle in for a repair after someone local referred me. Patrick was THE BEST! I have been living several years now in SF where bike shops are on every corner. So when I go out of town, I have to rely on Unilocal to find a good shop. But this time, I had several locals refer me here. Service was AMAZING. So good, in fact, I bought my new bike here and had Patrick ship it home. TAX FREE! I bought a LaPierre based solely on Patrick’s strong sales pitch, I love my new bike and I can’t wait to come back to aspen to ride again next year!
