I went in to rent a dual suspension MTB after calling and finding out about the trek bikes in the rental fleet. I waited for about 10 minutes while Anthony talked to his friend on the phone. After 10 minutes I stood at the counter to make sure he knew I needed assistance at which point he walked outside and continued his conversation. I looked around for a few more minutes and then walked outside and stood near him and he never acknowledged my presence. Then I walked to Velo Aspen and rented a Santa Cruz Tallboy and received excellent service. Anthony is not much on customer service. I’ve found a new shop when traveling to Aspen. Save yourself some time and pass on Hub !

My bike was rolled out of the shop (unlike other shops bikes aren’t allowed in), bizarre comment made to my girlfriend that leaning her bike against their brick wall is like «putting your teeth on the wall» (?!), asked for a tube and handed two of the wrong size (after the proprietor had just wheeled my bike out of the shop). Creepy and unpleasant vibe. It’s a bike shop, be happy when a cyclist comes in.

i bike every day and have for decades so i know a lot about bike shops. we arrived in aspen on july 4th weekend only to find that our most favorite high end road bike had been mangled and left for dead by someone we’d lent it to. so i called around and the folks at Hub who i’d had good experiences with previously were wonderful! another place actually said they might be able to get to in in 3 weeks! they went out of their way to take care of us (and more importantly our bike). very competent, very efficient and really nice albeit a bit on the funky side. price also seemed very reasonable. all good. just don’t go in and trash the Mets. thank you all so much. you are terrific!

The Hub of Aspen is one of the top Trek dealers in the country with the most experienced road and mountain bike guys on hand. Looking for a great mechanic, they have the best. Bike rental available too.
If you’re visiting Aspen for some riding, stop in Charlie and Jesse will point you in the right direction.
