Very nice Italian place right up the street from the house we were staying at. Our server was great, and the ambience was quiet, relaxing. The salads were perfect, my party had both the fig salad and the kale salad. I split the linguine and clams — homemade saffron pasta was yummy. Desserts were very good, we particularly liked the cheesecake.

This is a pretty place, but not perfect. We ordered 4 entrees. The duck, the porcini, and the special risotto got rave reviews, but my filet lacked flavor. Our major complaint was that we felt the wait staff tried to rush us after we had only been there an hour. The bill was more than $ 300, and it seemed to us that we should have been allowed a leisurely dinner.

Ive been dining at the Wild Fig since 2008 and have never disappointed. From the coat check person to the bus person, the staff has always been professional, warm and inviting. The food has been consistently from good to excellant. The Wild Fig has a great staff, the manager Theresa along with Ashie, Keith, Theo, Andy and Joshua. The Wild Fig is a not to be missed dining experience in Aspen.

I really enjoyed my meal here. Very intimate. Nicely lit. Beautifully decorated. Their Bar is lovely and well staff. Stocked with small batch and high end brands, their wait staff offer good service and an easy atmosphere. Wines are realistically priced and well chosen and their dinner menu has variations of salads, soups, pastas and meats. The Lamb Shank for me, took it. And yes, its fantastic paired with one of their California Cabernets, with nice by the glass options in various varietals. In a town with a ton of great restaurants — I would consider this one of them. See you soon.

I came here for a quiet night of dining with my wife. It feels like a little French brasserie and has a warm and inviting appeal. I was very pleased to see that there were good wine options on the menu and opted for a full bodied Cabernet. The stand out dish for us was the honey glazed duck. I would highly recommend ordering it.

During our stay in Aspen this was one of the more exciting and delicious meals we had. I really enjoyed that all the pastas were homemade and would recommend them. The entrée that stood out for me was their honey glazed duck it had a nice flavor profile and was tender although a very small portion for a $ 34 price tag. The kale salad is another big hit and I would get that as a starter. We ordered their homemade gelato for desert and it did not disappoint. Overall, a great dining experience we will be back.

My second visit to the Wild Fig. Not so good. Food is very good. Service mmm… so so, spoils the evening. The general manager from New Zealand was more interested in talking about her upcoming birth of a child with clientele friends than anything else. She was less than friendly as a hostess and chit chatted the entire time during our visit at the top of her voice with her buddies. The bar tender too was mesmerized by the baby talk and as a result the clientele were pretty much ignored. I have a child and was exhausted having to hear staff yak all night about their personal lives and birthing plans. It’s time for the owners to hire people that actually show an interest in the patrons — isn’t that what you pay them to do. I won’t go back for a third visit.

I have no idea why this isn’t everyone’s favorite Aspen restaurant. It’s mine for sure. OK, sometimes it’s crowded. Maybe sometimes the service is four stars. But, for me the food is five stars everytime I’ve eaten here. We live four hours away and my wife doesn’t even have to ask me where I want to celebrate my birthday. She knows what my choice would be. Wild Fig often has a risotto special, and when they do that’s automatic for me. Best risotto I have ever had. Some of the best steaks and seafood I have ever had. Fabulous salads. Nice wine menu. You can’t go wrong.

Had a totally wonderful meal here. From start to finish we had a great time. The dining room is a little cramped but with the music you can barely hear anyone else’s conversation. We had the mussels and frites and French onion soup to start. Delicious. For the large plates we got the duck special and the spaghettini — it was some of the best duck I’ve ever had and came with delicious veggies. Service was uniformly great.

The menu, cocktails, and food were divine. The waitress was delightful and efficient. Then why 2 stars? Immediately upon receiving our cocktails, the hostess sent our waitress to our table to tell us to «move along» with our dinner to accommodate other reservations. I have never been treated so badly in a restaurant. She ruined our evening. Tough to enjoy a meal when you feel unwelcome. The behavior of the rude and unprofessional hostess is inexcusable. I completely understand the need to flip tables, but there were no less that four vacant tables of four(the same size as our table) when we left and no one waiting in line. This treatment embarrassed my guests at a very important dinner. Don’t take a reservation unless you can honor it.

I have been to Wild Fig twice now and have had a fabulous meal both times. First trip I had a trio seafood appetizer with tuna tartare, ceviche, sautéed calamari. All three items were excellent. My entrée was a menu special halibut on risotto. Just fabulous. Memorable! The second time I skipped the appetizers but again had the risotto special, this time a mushroom risotto topped with a beef ribeye and a beef reduction. Again, just fabulous. The service we received was fine both nights. Our waiter on the second visit was excellent — prompt and attentive. My wife seconds this review. She had safron spaghettini with manilla clams, and savored every bite.

I enjoyed a nice lunch at The Wild Fig just last week with my daughter. We found the service to be good, along with my choice of veggie panini. However, when we arrived we requested a sweet table near the perimeter/street and were told by the hostess on duty, «No, that table is set for four people.» We then accepted the small, interior patio table for two and found during our time here that only one other party arrived for a total of four patio tables filled between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Wild Fig, you may want to excite and exceed your customers expectations rather than dampen their enthusiasm… just a thought.

The Wild Fig is consistently one of the best restaurants in Aspen. The Whole fish is sublime. Other favorites are the Cavatelli and their Salads. Wine list is A+ and it is small and intimate.

My wife and I had lunch at the Wild Fig. The wild fig has a very pleasant layout with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was extrodinary and the food and wine unique and exceptional. The meal was available in a timely manner.

Ok service and ok food I order the Rib eye and it needed more seasoning and I ordered my stake medium rare and got it medium. My mother ordered their basil fettuccini and it needed more seasoning as well. Good presentations and hot plates how it should be in all restaurants. We ordered their peach crêpe and I fill like it needs more peach flovore a cream filling or a gelato or ice cream

A very cozy restaurant that borders on feeling crowded but is reminiscent of European bistros. Outstanding food. An elegant whole fish which they didn’t debone but was worth the effort. A broasted chicken with olives that was great. Good service. Would go back.

Came here solo and ate at the bar. The bartender was great, offering good conversation but still letting me eat. I started with the onion soup(having a craving) and it didn’t disappoint — cheesy, not too many stringy onions, really delicious! Also had the pappardelle with steak and it also was terrific. The food here was really great — comforting with a slight modern twist. I would recommend this place and hope to be back again someday.

I don’t know which meat I think is tastier: the butcher’s board or Keith the bartender! Honestly, both the food and the main bartender Keith are amazing. It’s a rare occurrence that you find such a cozy and intimate setting in Aspen. The prices are moderate for Aspen, but the food excels in this town full of amazing restaurants. Keith steered us towards the butcher’s block to start and the cavateli and the lamb chops for entrees. The meat was so juicy and succulent, but, again, enough about Keith. All jokes aside anyone from young to old who comes here and sits at the bar will leave happy and smiling.

Highlights were the steak tartare and the Kobe flat iron steak. The Moroccan chicken was moist but the sauce is a little salty and not as complex as I’d hoped for a dish that could have so many interesting spices. In recent meals here, tried the fish in a bag(en pappilot), the seafood sampler, rack of lamb, moules frites… nothing spectacular but nothing offensive. The bread is very nice. Have not tried any desserts but other diners seemed to enjoy the full range. Next I want to try the lamb kebab that other Unilocalers seem to enjoy so much. TIP: Skip the patio. Seats are very uncomfortable.

Service is good. Drinks are good. Food is mediocre. This place is very expensive. If it were more affordable maybe they could eek out 3 stars, but you can’t charge $ 30 an entrée unless the food is at least pretty good. The carrot ginger soup had no ginger flavor and was not smooth enough. Pass it through the chinois one more time at least. The chef is old and possibly burnt out. The kitchen does not look clean based on a quick glance. The grilled halumi cheese that came out had definitely been grilled on a filthy grill. The cheese tasted very strongly of carbon and residue. My family had the mussels and frites which were also pretty bad. The fries were either blanched too long or, more likely, sat in the basket for a while and then were refried when we ordered. They were dry and discolored. Worse still the sauce with the mussels was flavorless and not reduced enough. Very thin. Oh and lastly several of the mussels never opened at all and yet were still sent out.
