The food is excellent and the vast majority of the items in the menu are naturally gluten-free. The staff is also very knowledgable about gluten and other allergen issues. This is a great place for a special/romantic dinner.

We went for apres and had a good overall experience. The bartender was great with both his recos and tasty cocktails. We had a few oysters, king crab, and lump crab from the raw bar and all tasted very fresh. We also had a cup of the clam chowder which left us wishing we got a whole bowl. This place isn’t cheap, even with their apres deals, but it is tasty!

We stopped by Jimmy’s Bodega with a huge group to get some drinks before heading on the buses to X Games. Surprisingly, we all managed to get seats at the bar and instantly were served by the bartender. The bartender was very nice and accommodating and joked around with our group a bit as well. The drinks here were fantastic! They have a lot of various options and cocktails to make anyone happy. We did not get any food here, but it looks amazing! I definitely will be back to try it out the next time I am in Aspen!

Just a quick review … went with my girlfriend the other night and everything was excellent! Oysters … perfect, a choice of many, we chose 3 we liked and ordered 6(and then 6 more) they were perfect … great mignonette, cocktail, and fresh horseradish! A wonderful beet salad with an awesome round bacon topper, and then some kind of lamb stew … it was incredibly flavorful! The service team was great, full of great service, smiles, and helpful attitude. I’m local and have been a few times, and it’s always pretty close to perfect … go enjoy, solo, date night, friends and family. .deserves the 5 stars!

Way over priced!!! Went there for happy hours my wife got 3 jumbo shrimp, I ordered 3 east coast clams very good, 3 west cost clams looked like left over crap!!! And we had 2 drinks $ 65 later you get a bad review! I was pumped to visit now I’m pumped to see this place get a bad review. Do not go here unless you have someone else’s credit card!

Has a great selection of seafood dishes in a town that, while is very abundant in other dining options, is not very abundant in seafood places. One of the better seafood spots in Aspen, if not the best. We had some oysters to start with, then shared the mussels and the crab cake and everything was delicious. Most of the cocktails are great as well, with some very nice craft cocktail ideas also. Great location, especially in the summertime with the open patio. They do happy hour specials that are worth checking out.

The one star is for the hostess, who seems to be the only one who gives a crap about her job. I am a service industry veteran. I am the very last person to complain about my experience at a restaurant, because I understand how things work behind the scenes and I get that stuff happens. But when I am in a restaurant that’s practically dead, I expect my server to at least do the bare minimum in customer service. 1. Never greeted us nor introduced herself 2. I had to ask what the Soup of the Day was and if there were any specials. 3. Checked back once when we got our appetizer, and then she never returned, except to drop the check, which she didn’t even then pick up again! Another server, who had been bussing our table as well, had to bring our card to our server. It’s worth noting that every restaurant I have EVER worked in required their servers to check back with guests at each stage of the meal. Oh we saw her, standing around casually chatting at the expo window. And when she was done visiting with the food runner, she walked right past our table without a word. 4. The food was pretty mediocre for the price point. Particularly after I watched my salad sit wilting in the expo window for 15 minutes or so, while they made and delivered our appetizer that I guess they forgot. We were sat right by the kitchen so we could hear everything. My husband liked his ceviche, but the greens for my salad were soggy and slimy and since I paid $ 26 for the damn thing, one would think it would be edible. 5. Not one person said anything to us as we exited. That is completely unacceptable. We just spent over $ 100 on crappy food and crappier service. We were kind and friendly to you, and we left a 25% tip, despite the fact that the service in no way warranted it. The least you could do is thank us for our patronage. All in all, this was a terrible experience. I can deal with disappointing food. I cannot deal with service this bad. It was our first time AND our anniversary, and I will never go back. What was supposed to be a special meal on a special trip instead was frustrating and disappointing. Even Hooters can understand that good service can overshadow the most mediocre of foods.

It’s four stars because my husband really enjoyed the crab cakes and ceviche. I did like my blackened fish tacos. They were pretty good. I personally thought the ceviche was too tough and the crab cake. I can make better, even my husband agreed with the crab cake. The service was, well they didn’t seem to care. Kinda slow going. So 4 stars cause of my husband, but I would give it a 3

Jimmy’s Bodega is a great seafood restaurant with both outdoor and indoor seating. The Bodega does not start serving dinner until 5:30 so we started with drinks. I ordered a whiskey sour. My whiskey sour was good, but one of my table-mates ordered a margarita. The margaritas are not made from mix so you can get them the exact way you want, which is super cool. For dinner, I ordered the crab cakes($ 36), which were delicious. There was a ton of crab in these crab cakes, and the price definitely matched the quality. The other fish on the table looked amazing as well. There were a couple of issues that stopped this from being a five star experience: The first server that took our drinks asked me four times for my drink order(A whiskey sour) and one of my colleagues six times(Seltzer water with lime). She kept apologizing, but really, just get a pad of paper. She then proceeded to forget both drinks and another server brought 2⁄4 drinks out, and a server had to be flagged down to get the other drinks. Luckily, another server took over. The second issue was that we were sitting outside, and as happens in the mountains, a storm popped up. Instead of offering indoor seating, which there was plenty of, we were left under umbrellas that were dripping on us. Had the storm been any stronger, we would have been drenched. Overall, great food and great company but a poor atmosphere. ***Despite having outdoor seating, they do not allow dogs.

Wow, a seafood place in the middle of the mountains. Who knew? It’s a bit pricey for it all, but everything seemed really fresh. It didn’t reek of bad fish in any way. Ordered some food here to snack on: salmon tartar and calamari with rock shrimp. For just appetizers, we got a pretty decent amount of food for the price. I was stuffed(also I had just had some apps elsewhere). The salmon tartar was to die for. It was light, fresh and served with their vegetable chips(house made). It was tickled with lime juice and zesty flavors, with a bit of crème fraiche? Getouttahere! Hit it out of the park. Sat at the bar and the bar staff were great and helpful. I was eyeballing someone’s order of mussels across the way and they looked pretty darn delicious as well. Definitely recommend a stop at Jimmy’s if you’re in town.

Second dinner here last night. So really we only came here for oysters and calamari. They had both east and west coast oysters –though only one species of each. But man were they fresh and juicy! It was neat being able to watch them shuck them behind the bar. The calamari was decent but not the best I’ve had. It was both calamari rings and shrimp. They were seasoned with a cajun-y flavor. And had a creamy sauce to dip it in. I prefer to have a mix of baby octopus things with the ring. The shrimp tasted better than the squid prepared this way.

Apres ski a little further away from the mountain This place rocks! I have been in Aspen this time for about a week and we have gone here twice. The first time immediately after we stepped off the flight that was three hours delayed. Needless to say we were STARVED and needed some great food. My family and I started the meal off with an Aspen Blonde, brussel sprouts with bacon and truffle fries. Then we followed it with the fish tacos(added fresh avacado), short rib tacos and the lobster tacos. We had a very nice waitress named Monique(sp?) and she gave us the low down on the place — just opened by Jimmy(from Jimmy’s in Aspen another AMAZING spot), chef is from Pacifico, raw bar accompanied by seafood and a little meat. We were satisfied by the end and happy again after a long trip from Boston(9 hours total eeekkk). The second time I came to Bodega with my brother and we sat at the bar. Alex was the bartender and he was both funny and very helpful. I started out with proseco and my brother started off with an Aspen Blonde. Then we split the truffle fries, the lobster and the fish tacos. The fish tacos are still my favorite. Great experience and just what we needed! Another great fact — they do happy hour and the tacos, oysters and drinks are all discounted. Please check this place out!

Jimmy’s Bodega makes a solid spicy margarita. And because they don’t reach for that electric neon sour mix sold on the bottom shelves of most liquor stores, they can control the citrus and the sweet. In my case, I don’t dig margs because they lean a little sugary for my tastes, but this bad boy was spot on. Conversation was super lively too with bartenders, so if you’re a duo or flying solo, trust that you’ll be entertained if you pop a seat on a stool. And the ceviche is a delightful light bite to get your night started. It’s served with a wee amount of chips, but Alex was more than willing to trade us more for our sparkling personality and witty banter.

Amazing! Went there last night for dinner, I had the filet mignon and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. My three friends all enjoyed their meals as well. Jimmy is super friendly and everyone who works there is accommodating. We had the lemon custard for dessert which we all enjoyed. Also order the cucumber lemonade best one ever! Super excited we found this place I recommend and will be back, probably this evening :)
