Very expensive! Very nice staff. Food was difficult to handle. My lettuce in my salad wasn’t cut up for me into little bites. Also, their fennel mash looked like bird shit, but my friend drooled onto her plate after trying it.

This place must live off its long standing reputation and location. We had the filet minion. The quality of the meat was low and you could tell it had been pre seasoned. Everything was made in advance. The same was true of the salmon. A message to the owner managers — people do know the quality of the meat they order. Our server was very nice. I do not recommend.

We arrived at the airport around 8pm, and by the time we were in our room at the resort and ready for food, we realized it was sort of late. We asked the front desk, and they arranged for a shuttle to downtown and directed us toward Jimmy’s. We realized that it was one of the more expensive places in the area and we were a bit worried about whether we were paying for convenience or quality(since it’s open late and in the middle of town). When we got there, we had to walk through the slim bar area to get to the dining room, where there was literal writing on the walls from various locals and what appeared to be famous people. Not classy. We were almost the only people in the restaurant, and it was feeling a bit gross and pretentious, with the outdated menu(very ‘80s). Actually, everything tasted great. All the free soft pretzels we could stuff our faces with, supremely good technique for the cook on my husband’s bone-in barbecue chicken breast, large portion of well cleaned muscles with broth and spinach. the spinach was a great touch, it brought the dish up. And since I got an appetizer instead of an «entrée»(plenty of food), the bill wasn’t so bad. I would definitely go again in the same situation.

Jimmys continues to raise the bar both on food and service. A MUST if you are in Aspen! Best steak in town and the Moscow mules are amazing. Jimmys Jimmy Mac drink is so good.

Great bar and restaurant in downtown Aspen. Located up a flight of stairs and the space is somewhat split into two with a bar area and a dining area. Very nice décor of the place. Gets crowded during the evenings and it feels like a very happening place. It also has seating on the patio during the summer. Good food menu. Sit in the main dining area or grab a seat at the bar which has it’s own menu. Great bar specials of the day on weekly rotation. Good value for money. Great selection of mezcals. The wine list is extensive and most will find something for themselves. The cocktails are very good also. Would recommend. Would come back.

Horrible steaks. Not a good place to stop for dinner especially if you’re new to town and enjoy good food.

Jimmy’s is an Aspen institution, a true classic, yet remains honest and local. Great food, best bar in town, and the best staff.

Kayla was a great server. She was training Amanda and they both did a nice job. The food was excellent. Every table was full when we were there. My brother enjoys the bar so we always try and visit Jimmy’s when I’m Aspen.

We just weren’t that impressed with the food or the service. We ordered mussels for an appetizer which were good. I had the trout and my husband had the filet and we split some mac n cheese. I could probably make Mac and cheese just as good. The food plus 4 beers came to $ 150 after tip and it just wasn’t worth it.

Bar scene is awesome. Must be tons of locals but we enjoyed it. Food is solid but not great. Prices on bar menu are very reasonable. Outdoor seating is gorgeous view into the city. Worth a stop!

This restaurant was a recommendation from my best friend. Results… Disappointed. The expectations were high and here are the results. For $ 110, you can feed one. I was initially approached by a man who seemed upbeat and eager to please. I asked of the full menu was served at the bar since I was dining solo. He said yes and sat me. The bartender quickly approached and took my drink order. Looking good so far! I ordered a beer and the muscles. About 5 minutes into my dinner, the hostess cane to me and told me, did NOT ask me, to move so she could seat 2 people at the bar. The only seats open at that point were at the ends of the bar. Both seats were high traffic and I couldn’t see the TV. I tried not to let it bother me since the bartenders’ service was good. I got my mussels and well, not as flavorful as I had hoped. I ate about half and they were bland and watered down. I would not recommend. I pushed them away. I then ordered the filet and a glass of wine. The filet was out in 5 minutes telling me that it was either an extra from another order or was precooked. It was supposed to be medium and was closer to medium well and dry. I ate it since I was hungry, but looking back, I should have sent it back. Overall, this place was ok. The bar service was good. Not sure if it’s customary for the hostess to have singles move as if they were less of a patron than others, so I was not a fan of that. The steak was ok. If I would recommend this place, it is just for drinks, no food… Except for the cookies!

My wife has to come to Aspen every summer for work. This place always helps us get through. Great drinks and great food. Nate was our bartender tonight and he gave excellent customer service. We had bread sticks, shrimp cocktail, surf n turf, meatloaf, mash potatoes,. It was all excellent. Great cocktails and red wine. Great dinner night out. My only complaint, lose the beer in the can. Beer in the can sucks. We will be back!

Great food. Great bartender. Nate was awesome. After coming here 4 years, he is the best bartender we found. The food is awesome and while it is a little spendy, it’s absolutely delicious and if you go at happy hour it’s more than worth it. We had pretzel breadsticks with mustard, surf and turf and meatloaf. Everything was phenomenal. Plus they make pretty amazing cocktails.

I had high expectation because of it’s history and reviews. The food here is just average. I had the flat iron steak. It was food but not outstanding. The mac and cheese was done well, but weak on seasoning. The artichoke dip was decent. I like the bread sticks with mustard. I also had a taste of my friend’s fish taco and it was a disappointment. The fish was very dried and lack flavor. Unlikely that I will return to this restaurant. Nothing special.

what can be said about Jimmy’s? Hmmmm… delicious food, wonderful service, and surprisingly good cocktails. We had cocktails to start with and were perfectly mixed. We moved into the appetizer — Kobe beef tartare, and oh my!!! do I really need to say anything about it? Followed by it, went into an overload of protein and asked for the rib eye… perfecto!!! Couldn’t ask for better food.

We really enjoyed Jimmy’s! We arrived a little early for our reservation, hoping that maybe we could get seated a bit early, but the place was absolutely packed! We got some drinks at the bar, once we made our way through the crowd, and we were seated not long after that. Our server was very friendly, and the appetizers came out quickly. I got the tuna tartare and some other members of the group got the lobster mac and cheese. These were the only things we ate that evening that we weren’t all that impressed with. The tartare was definitely fresh, but the sauces didn’t have a lot of flavor, and the portion was small for the price. The lobster mac and cheese actually tasted fishy, which is odd for lobster. For my entrée, I got the cioppino and it was awesome. I have been craving it ever since! The drinks are also great — try Chris’ dulce caliente! We would definitely go back next time we’re in Aspen.

The Lobster Mac n Cheese and the Roasted Pork Tenderloin were absolutely delicious. I mean the prices are Aspen prices but the food was sooooo good! The pork tenderloin was medium and cooked to perfection. The lobster mac n cheese was also absolutely amazing.
