Nice atmosphere with the outdoor courtyard. Great food. The mushroom ravioli and rissoto were delicious.

Went last night. Wanted to lick my plate. Had the Bottarga… never tried it before. It was divine and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Great experience

Great experience. Love coming here for quality Italian each time I visit Aspen/Snowmass. Delicious and also great options for vegetarians!

We went here for my girlfriends birthday. We seemed rushed during our meal so they could use the table for another guest. Food and pasta was above average but not worth the price for how crammed we were in our seating. This is the only place that has ever charged for the Birthday dessert. It’s not a big deal but for something that you don’t technically order but do expect something, never have I seen a restaurant charge $ 10 for a piece of birthday cake. I will not be recommending this place again. Service is average, spacing is nothing. Food is above average. For a birthday this was the worst.

In the last four out of five visits my guests and I have been treated rudely. It starts before you ever arrive when you call to make a reservation. The bar staff are annoyed with any unusual request. Unless you are a well known patron the host ignores you. Servers are hit and miss, food is ok. The general feeling is that the owners are under money pressure and management is non-existent, staff have never been properly trained. Visit White House Tavern if you would like to experience a well run restaurant where everyone is greeted with a smile and treated with respect.

Really good Italian food. I’m only complaint for me is the portion size was a little too big(I don’t like to see food wasted). The service was really very good. Thumbs up!

Great Italian Food,. We love Italian food and are delighted when when we find somebody who does it right. These folks do it right. We had three drinks, two appetizers and two entrees and left with a $ 150 bill, no regrets. We are blessed with the latitude to spend that on a great meal and this was a great meal. The wine by the glass was nice and the secret agent cocktail was good but not great(they did shake it and came with wonderful slivers of ice, I should have ordered a negroni). Appetizers were a highly recommended grilled sea food salad and shrimp salad that were both wonderful and generous.(I could have walked away full and satisfied with just the seafood salad). Entrees too, were fine. I had a sausage pasta and my dining companion had a mushroom dish. Again, great dishes. We are on holiday and may come back tomorrow. We can’t praise them enough. Service was helpful and thoughtful. BTW, Campo De Fiori is a small plaza in Rome where you can get another great meal.

Stay away for NYE, we heard good things and were expecting a culinary experience. Food was sub par and service was non existent. Expected more for the price but not surprised given NYE. Disappointed.

Fantastic Italian cuisine in Aspen. We got there at 6:15 and were greeted by the chef who sent over a plate of calamari for our table of four and Charlotte(see photos). We ordered a reasonable bottle of Italian red and five main courses. I had the veal milanese, Toni, Charley and Julie had various pasta dishes and Charlotte — 4 years old — and a veteran of fine dining since the age of two had the spinach gnocchi. Everything was over the top terrific. This is the best Italian I have had in this city. Also, the entire bill including wine is 25% off until December 10th. I guess sort of an off season discount. The entire bill after discount but before tip was $ 150.00.

Strongly suggest you stay away from Campo De Fiori if you’re looking for an enjoyable experience. We have been traveling for two weeks, and have enjoyed almost every dining experience from Ketchum, to Jackson Hole, and on through Boulder and Breckenridge. We should have walked away when only three tables were taken at the key dinner hour, but the menu looked intriguing and what we were in the mood for. The price point was on par, or perhaps a tad higher, than what we have been targeting throughout the trip. i.e. Well above your normal dinner tab. First indication that this was not on par with our expectations and prior good experiences was the cheese and salumi appetizer platter that appeared to be directly from Safeway. Tasted as much. The special soup of the day could not be finished due to the excessive pepper. The rest of the meal was perhaps a step up from Olive Garden, but just a bit. Will be posting highly favorable reviews for Globus and other wonderful restaurants we have experienced on our trip to date, but Campo De Fiori does not deserve your business. Please avoid our mistake.

Everything was superb! The Chef came out twice to check on how we liked the food and I had nothing but praise for him. We had the calamari, grilled vegetables, the eggplant lasagna and the beef tenderloins paired with a delicious Pinot Grigio. The food was delicious, fresh and flavorful! Came here with a large group of 25, it had been pre arranged by our wonderful organizer from the Aspen Institute and all was to perfection. Thank you for the delicious food, the awesome ambiance and the personalized attention. As a native Chicagoan I appreciate great food & amazing service. I will definitely be raving about you and recommending you. Keep up the great food and vibe and I hope to be back to Aspen one day soon!

Working in Aspen is a unique experience. The pay rate doesn’t reflect the prices of actually living here, and Campo De Fiori is only in a tourist’s budget. However, my friend’s family came in and took us to Campo De Fiori as a treat, and it was very nice to get a meal out. We enjoyed the outdoor seating, and they do have heaters. However, you have to ask them to turn on the heaters, and it was near impossible to flag down a waiter do this. Inside was packed and loud, and I would reccomend eating outside. The service was subpar when we began the meal, but after a bottle of wine and three appetizers were ordered, the service increased greatly. The waiters here just want your money so if you aren’t spending, go somewhere else. As this was a special occasion, I was treated to many of the items on the menu. While the table did order two bottles of red wine, I only took a small sip of each. The wine prices are not for the faint of heart, but both tasted wonderful. Here was my experience: Antipasti: My favorite of these was the Bresaola Valtellina($ 20), which was thinly sliced tenderloin with arugula and fresh shaved Parmesan. The meat was wonderful, and squeezing the lemon over the dish made it even better. The Cozze e Vongole($ 20) was a mix of mussels and clams that were good but not as good as the prior. The Autannale($ 18) was a great mix of squash and artichokes. Contorni: I was a huge fan of the Cannellini alla Salvia($ 10), which was just white beans and sage. But the taste was fantastic. Pasta: Thanks to Unilocalers, I stuck with the Gnocchi Spinaci($ 25). The Spinaci dumplings were tossed with tomatoes and olive oil. The menu said there would be garlic and feta, but I tasted no garlic and saw no feta. For homemade gnocchi, they were slightly too dense but tasted good. I will say that for the price point, the gnocchi was not up to standards. If you are looking for good gnocchi, I’m happy to recommend a place in New York City. What made this dinner great was the company, and Campo De Fiori did not provide that. The food was passable for the price point, but I wouldn’t come back here. Nothing special.

Typical aspen restaurant. Very crowded, over priced and horrible service. We had a party of 6. The waiter rushed us the entire meal. Dropped a fork down my back, spilled a martini, dropped a plate in front of one of the guests. One of the people in our party ordered the salmon and it was about ¼″ thin with skin on it and it tasted very very fishy. Another guest order steak and it was way over cooked. It does have a great patio!

I’ve been to the campo both here and in Vail and while the food is good, it just doesn’t stand out. The environment here is a bit lacking – it’s a bit dated, and lacked ambiance. It is very crowded; to the point that it’s difficult to move past other diners without brushing up against them in some way. As for the food, it was just Ok. I ordered the pesto chicken, which was good, but the veggies were soggy and the purple potatoes were burnt to the point that, at first, I couldn’t tell they were potatoes. We also had both the fried and grilled calamari, which was great but the dipping sauce lacked flavor and tasted nothing like cocktail sauce. I think If I’m going to spend the money for a nice meal, I’d probably choose somewhere where I’m a bit more wowed with the overall experience.

Situated in «the restaurant parallelogram»(actually a square), Italian food explodes out of the kitchen inches away from a few other restaurants, including Cache Cache Bistro. Confusingly, the outdoor area(those very same few inches away) is not, to my knowledge, shared with Campo. Indoor seating only here. We sat 5 feet from the kitchen at a very long, tightly packed table. There was 8 of us, so if you plan on coming with more people than that, definitely make a point to request a corner. The food was good. Just about everyone got pasta(naturally) and everyone was happy. I had the Linguine Crostacei — kind of my test dish for a place that specializes in Italian(beyond a good fra diavolo /bolognese). I also had a caesar salad, dressing on the side — quite good. The only hiccup came towards the end — when our waiter seemingly disappeared into the abyss and we were trying to get our check. We found him, and then we needed to split the check into food and alcohol(company picks up the food, we split the alcohol). He said… no? Apparently their computer system is antiquated to the point where he cannot just move things around on the screen; the entire order needed to be re-entered manually to generate two checks. We then offered to split the bill on two cards, just putting the wine(manual addition) on one card and food on another. Impossible, yet again. Perplexing. In the end, he re-entered everything(we watched, the computer was right behind us) and we got the separate checks we needed. No star demotion for this, but just be aware… if you need to split the check or separate items or something similar… mention it upfront and avoid this potential headache.

As you can tell from my other reviews of Italian restaurants, I’m very particular about my Italian food. This was our fifth time at Campo and it didn’t disappoint. We never miss coming here when in town since we discovered it. First, it has a great atmosphere, whether outside on the patio or inside. If anything, the music needed to be louder and more traditional. We could barely hear it! Second, the service is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. Third, the menu is well thought through and each dish was perfectly prepared. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the bland chocolate cake. Yes, the prices at Campo are a little over the top. Their prices are not quite competitive with other similar restaurants in Aspen.

The food was great, but the atmosphere took away from the overall rating. If I could break up the rating system, here’s how I would score the place: food– 5 stars service– 5 stars ambiance– 0 stars If you plan on having dinner here, make a reservation and ask to be seated as far away from the bar as possible. The music gets really loud and the people that flock to the bar area have a sense of desperation which reduces their manners to nil.

This place is Awesome!* *if you like extremely loud techno music while idiots dance on tables and throw shit for no reason while you are served $ 40+ plates of ok food. Ok might be overstating… I had the rack of lamb medium rare and one was cooked medium while the two others were medium well. Seriously, the rap and techno music was so loud you couldn’t speak to anyone without screaming. The waiter said that it’s aspen and it gets loud here… The name of this place means«Field of Flowers» when it should be named Il Carnuto e Idioti Danza
