Just say no. The food was salty and terrible. Every table around us sent their food back. Found a hair in our dessert and yet still asked to pay for it. The table by us sent their entrees back only to be told the kitchen was closed. Please, don’t waste your time or money.

As you will see from the other reviews this is a solid restaurant but wildly overpriced and I for one will never go back.

Our 2nd year in a row eating at Casa Tue. Another great experience; food, ambiance, and service are A+. Beef tenderloin with foie gras is amazing, though everything we have tried has been amazing. Expect to spend $ 200+(worth every penny)

A scrumptious culinary journey at Casa Tua one late summer evening in Aspen. Unique asparagus salad, delectable mushroom risotto, and a rich tiramisu dessert — so fresh, a true tastebud delight and ambient, relaxed vibe.

There is one thing that tasty food can not make up for and that is haughty service. We were made to wait 45 minutes past our reservation time because the hostess sat a walk in group at the table reserved for our party. The manager told us that it is a natural thing to have to wait past the reservation time. Even the bartender was dismissive.

The only reason i did not rate this place a one star is the ambience. This is a very classy place but the food was bad to average. For the price this place should have tastier food. If you can survive on ambience this is the perfect eatery. If not take a pass on this place especially if taste is a factor in what you consume!

Great place for dinner and great private upstairs club for a larger party. Food is consistent, I’ve had a lot of the fish, the pastas are excellent too. Mushroom linguini and Bronzino are the favorites! Portions are small, but filling. Best Italian in Aspen!

This is a private club /public restaurant. If you are a member of the club or show them you are willing to spend money, you will get the best service around. If you are just a normal patron you will be subjected to an overpriced crapshoot that will last 2+ hours. We had almost everything on the menu The food ranges from OK-Very Good depending on what you order. Some of the things they do are amazing, like the Fehttuchini with black truffle and mushroom. But some of the things they do make zero sense or come off as if the Chef just came up with an idea without tasting it. For example, we ordered rack of lamb. Meat was just amazing but they dressed it with mint extract which got all over it and completely ruined the food. If you have never tasted mint extract, I can only explain it as that it would be the equivalent to putting toothpaste on your food. Not sure how anyone in their right mind would find that satisfactory. Bottom line is that this is going to always be an inconsistent trend restaurant that seems a little self absorbed. More of a production then a nice dining experience. But that may be good for you.

Excellent! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Aspen! We started with the Buratta and organic tomatoes and basil(perfect dish — and how they manage to get such delicious tomatoes in February I’ll never know). Next up, Tagliatelle alla ‘bolognese del borgo’ for me — three different meats combined to make the perfect bolognese(I ate every bite) and the Oso Bucco for my husband(he also cleaned his plate. .. the meat was so flavorful and tender). Passable bread and breadsticks — if the bread were any indication of how good the rest of the meal was going to be — then I would have been concerned. This is truly the only reason I withheld the 5th star(and I feel nit-picky for doing so — since it’s free — but I truly feel they could do a lot better). For dessert, although we were actually full, we shared a scoop of gelato. .. delicious and well worth the calories — thank goodness we had a nice walk back to our hotel(The Limelight)! I’ve seen some average reviews or complaints about prices on this site for Casa Tua and I’m baffled as to why. The service, food and ambience were all excellent and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. I felt their prices were absolutely fair given the portions and how delicious the food was. .. so anyone on this site complaining about the prices would be appalled at how much we spent at a restaurant I will not name, which was not even half as good as Casa Tua(and 1.5 times the price of our meal at Casa Tua). To the restaurant: Excellent meal. .. a winner! :)

Outstanding Everything from start to finish was amazing. The staff was delightful, assisting with selections when asked and just the right level of attention. The food exceeded our expectations and the presentation added to the experience. A great find, we will definitely return!

Very average restaurant, mediocre service and over priced. The selection is ordinary, the serving size inadequate for the price, and the wait staff is neither knowledgeable not engaging. There are many good and several great restaurants in Aspen. Enjoy one of those and pass on Casa Tua.

I am a frequent visitor to Aspen, at this place was too hyped up! The atmosphere is great, but the service was horrible. I wasn’t asked if I would like another cocktail. A member of our party, sat down 5 minutes after the rest of us and was not asked if they would like a drink. The soup of the evening was awful, and each plate took forever to get out to the table. Let me put it into perspective for you. — 4 people in our party — 1 appetizer for the table shared — 1 bowl of over priced soup for one member — 3 cocktails(one was made incorrectly) — 2 main dishes — 1 main dish split between two people We were there for 2 ½ hours Waste of time. Overpriced. Poor service. My recommendation… Take some lessons for some great Chicago restaurants, I’m sure you’ll be in business longer if you do!

My first trip to aspen and I ran into this place. Can’t find a place with such good service! Told them it was my wedding anniversary, they brought out 2 glasses of free champagne, an appetizer on the house and the desert had a chocolate note to us. The people are friendly and the steak and salmon was cooked perfect! The atmosphere is very romantic a good place for a date.

Had yummy mushroom risotto and mushroom fettuccine. Salman appetizer was tasty. Portions were of average size so you didn’t feel stuffed when you left. Enjoyed a nice glass of wine off the wine list. Will be back this Christmas to enjoy the restaurant again.

As any good restaurant in Aspen, you better make advance reservations. I love Casa Tua! Perfect location in Downtown Aspen close to Ajax and a small walk from the Hyatt Grand Aspen. The food is delicious. Small portions, the Menu suggests 2 – 3 courses per person. Good to great service. I will definitely come back!

The only reason Casa Tua Aspen is not receiving 5 stars is because the waiter we had was terrible! He was rushing us the entire time! However, the food was wonderful and so was the ambiance. We ordered the tuna tar tar, carrot soup, fettuccine with mushrooms and truffles and carrot cake :)
