Burger Club

Visited for a Sunday Brunch with friends and food did not disappoint, everyone’s dish came out at same time and were served hot. Sake Bloody Mary one of best I had. Servers were friendly but feel they were under staffed as it took long time before any one came to bring our bill and then process. I would still recommend a visit as I want to return and try a burger which looked amazing.

We came for brunch and it was just OK. A mimosa came with brunch that was mostly OJ and our server never came by to see if we wanted to buy another. We ordered the Heuvos Rancheros which was not special and very light. The strawberry banana pancakes that were just OK. We split both dishes and were both still hungry.
I won’t come back for brunch again — maybe to try their burgers that most people seemed to be ordering and looked fantastic.

My parents and I came here few weeks ago for my birthday. We had reservations for 8:30, and arrived a little too early. While our table was being cleared, a server asked if we wanted to sit on the couches up front and order a drink. This was a nice gesture, because we could’ve just stood for 20 minutes, without being acknowledged.
I tried to be adventurous, and ordered the cashew caipirinha. Yikes! This drink was definitely not the one for me! I hate to be a pain and send back food or drinks, so I tried to suck it up and drink it as fast as possible.
Our table was finally ready, and we were seated and greeted right away. The server immediately knew that I was not feeling my drink at all, and nicely offered to have it changed for something else. He suggested the strawberry caipirinha instead! (A much better option for me)
For appetizers we went with the smoked grilled sausage served with sautéed onions and French fries. For the main course, I opted for the Churrasco steak. The steak was cooked to medium perfection (just the right amount of pink and tenderness) and served with potatoes and vegetables. The rice and beans were served family style, and meant to share with others at the table.
I give 4 stars instead of 5, because the live singer sang mostly slow-​paced, mellow music. I would’ve preferred a more up-​beat setting for a Friday night, or even more traditional style music. Nonetheless, our service was flawless, and the experience was overall very pleasant! I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday experience eating delicious home cooked style food, surrounded by my loved ones!

Came here last Thursday night around 10pm to dine in with my besty. Having been three years since I last came here, it was well overdue! What can I say, I have no excuses except my standing one: too many places, too little time…
Service: Taken care of throughout by Anthia who’s a total sweetheart! Attentive, knowledgeable, patient, pleasant and cute to boot! My besty was totally crushing on her ;) Speed of service was paced very nicely and efficiently. There were more than a few other tables with varying number of patrons but that did not seem to hinder service.
Food: We were both perty hungry and my energy was droppin’ quick! So naturally, I take forever to decide which burger I want! I finally settled on the Frenchy burger: topped with foie gras (liver of a duck or goose (cuz I’m fancy like that)), sauteed mushrooms & caramelized onions and added on the roasted peppers (additional charge). It was cooked to a perfect medium as requested! I was in burger heaven overload! I couldn’t have cared less that sauce ‘n’ stuff was dripping down my face! I didn’t stop to wipe until that entire burger was in ma belly!
Besty went with the turkey burger: topped with Swiss cheese, Holland-​roasted peppers, sauteed mushrooms & crispy onion strings. I was too busy devouring my burger to taste his, but I did manage to grumble an incoherent question his way to which he responded, it’s really good. Coming from him, that’s mighty generous being the selective turkey burger eating and vegetarian touting besty that he is :) We ordered the hand cut sweet potato fries and they were finger lickin’ good! Needless to say, we wiped our plates clean!
One quick thing I have to mention, my burger was slightly less than warm when it arrived at our table. I could’ve asked them to warm it up, which I’m sure they would’ve immediately obliged, but I was just too darn hungry!
Altogether, this burger joint has a fun vibe to it with subway signage and the sort posted up on the walls! They have table tops, communal wooden benches for groups and seating at the bar. They also serve beer and wine along with an assortment of milkshakes which I’ll have to try next time. Place seems perty clean including the restroom.
I enjoy a satisfying burger joint the same way I enjoy fancy meals. We all need to make time for a simple, uncomplicated burger once in a while. Otherwise, what’s the point?

My girlfriend turned me on to this place, which I presume is a local favorite. As a fan of hamburgers, I couldn’t resist and was amply rewarded. I decided to order a roasted chicken sandwich, which took 2 days to finish, and some tasty waffle fries. It definitely validates Astoria’s well-​deserved reputation as a neighborhood filled with culinary delights.

Never been to the restaurant but I probably order from here once a week for delivery. The burgers are delicious, alwaya cooked just righr, onion rings are amazing and always crispy even for delivery. Milkshakes are to die for. The mac and cheese though, not good at all. Went out on a limb to order it, not a fan watery and flavorless. I’ll stick to the burgers. Great delivery time and service. I’m definitely a fan. Maybe one day will go to the restaurant.

3.5 food but overall experience and service rounds up to 4 stars.
Stopped in for brunch, my first time. Ordered the Croque Madame (if you don’t know, basically a grilled ham and cheese with beshamel and sunny side eggs on top). Usually a big hit with me. This one was served with a delightful green salad with a sweet and creamy balsamic vinaigrette. But the sandwich, itself was not exactly my taste here. The bread tasted a bit sweet, reminiscent of maple syrup. I hypothesize that they use the same griddle as french toast or something. I’m not into the french toast and eggs combo flavor so it was just ok to me. (Didn’t stop me from polishing it off though).
My hubby ordered the breakfast nachos and gave it a solid 3.5, also mostly finishing with tortillas left over.
The pink lemonade tasted a bit prepackaged, not fresh squeezed.
But the menu seemed very promising and the service was super friendly so I think I’ll be returning.

Came in and tried the Carolina Burger. It was excellent. The waitress was very kind and friendly. The beer selection isn’t big but they had the Spanish beer Malhou. Overall great experience.

My husband and I frequently order delivery from here. Everything we’ve had has been amazing and delicious. And importantly — consistent!
Our frequent choices are the braised rib quesadillas, house burger, and mac n’ cheese. All are super good. Also, the milkshakes here are soooo delicious.
It’s a bit on the pricey side, but its the best burger in town, imo.

Above average burger spot, décor is casual but nice (reclaimed wood tables and benches). Service was good and food came out quick. Cool specialty burgers. Milkshakes are very good. I had the Carolina Burger (which is topped with pulled pork) and the Twix shake. Burger was juicy and cooked medium rare as requested. Twix shake was delicious. Overall experience was good, but would not order or dine from here regularly due to cost (on the high side for burgers and shakes). Would stick with a cheaper more generic burger place unless you are looking for something really special.

God damn DELICIOUS Burgers!

I feel like I committed a sin by not having a burger at Burger Club. But I swear the sides alone can justify the five stars!
FOOD:
Let me explain — four of us meant to get a small meal before a show, so we decided to just get sides. I’ll definitely be back though!
— Buffalo Wings: definitely have a kick to them! They’re actually not soggy, yet still manage to have a good amount of flavor to them.
— Mac & Cheese: pretty good. Solid, cheesy Mac. I wish j could say more but to be honest, the other dishes were so overpoweringly good. That’s not to say we didn’t enjoy it! Just not as memorable.
— Braised Beef Fries: ask for waffle fries! They are the perfect vessel for holding up that braised meat. The meat was super tender and flavorful. Also delicious with a side of chipotle mayo.
— Nachos: omgggggg best nachos I’ve had in a while. What I loved most was how crispy the chips stayed throughout the meal. Even the ones on the bottom!
— Twix Shake: this thick shake is perfect for balancing out the buffalo wings if you’re like me and can’t hang. When you’re done with it, there are chunks of chocolate that sink to the bottom for an extra treat. Overall, it was very filling. Definitely tasted like a Twix bar!
SERVICE:
Nothing amazing. Our waitress may have been new, as she couldn’t really tell me about the Cookie Monster milkshake, and she seemed a little lost taking our order. She checked up on us toward the end of the meal But she got the job done and our waters were refilled!
AMBIANCE:
Overall, a great place for a casual lunch or dinner. During the day, it’s really bright inside. The tables were a little close together, but I didn’t feel like I was on top of anyone.

This is my go-​to spot whenever I’m craving a good burger. They have the BEST gluten-​free buns. The texture is just spot on and really stands up to the burger which is hard for a gluten-​free bun. They have a great lunch deal for $ 10 which includes a burger, fries and soda. I went to lunch today and got the turkey burger which was just as good as the regular burgers I have had in the past. Really hit the spot. Service is always great. Love that it’s so close to me!

Ordered delivery from here a couple of times and the food is fantastic. the chicken quesadilla and pork quesadilla are very simple looking but will blow you away. ive also gotten the farmers market burger which was decent. But the WINGS though, are a hit. Delivery is pretty quick.

Excellent quality burgers and salads. I wish they had gruyère cheese as they did when they first opened though. Service is overall adequate and spotty at times. But the food is outstanding. One of my favorite burgers places in NYC.

Great food food and service. The service is quick and efficient. The staff is great and well mannered and invite you into the restaurant with a smile.
Ended up getting the breakfast burger which was different from what i am normally used to.
The egg, onions, cheese, and pickles blended well and tasted warm and fresh. The egg was still hot and fresh from the kitchen

This place is the bomb! We came here for dinner tonight and let me just say. Wow!
Burger: 5 out of 5 /​/​I ordered the bison burger (cooked medium) and it was so good. The meat was juicy and meaty with the perfect mix of sweet from the bbq sauce and spicy from the jalapeños.
Sweet potato fries: 5 out of 5 /​/​these fries are so good. Extremely crispy and comes with ranch dressing and chipotle mayo on the side. Normally I would like the chipotle mayo more but the combination of the sweetness from the fries mixed with the slight saltiness from the ranch dressing. It was perfection.
We also got the vanilla and chocolate shake and that was just like putting a straw into slightly melted chocolate and vanilla ice cream. This sweetness paired with the salty burger made my crappy day at work all better!
Service here is always attentive without being overwhelming. This place is definitely going to be part of our regular rotation in this neighborhood!

Went to Burger Club on a Friday evening. Nice small restaurant with outdoor sitting. For appetizer, i had the Buffalo wings. Sauce on the wings was good. The blue cheese was very loose though. I also order the California burger. It was honestly okay. It had alot of toppings (guacamole, lettuces, tomatoes,) but the meat, no flavor. I want to give this place 4 stars but i cant. I do plan on coming back to try the mac and cheese.
P.S they didnt have blue moon but I seen a sign saying they have it… :/

Must preface that back home I am in a burger club where we meet monthly to try and rate the burgers. Must also preface that I got a veggie burger because it sounded like the toppings I wanted the most.
I was kind of confused because we had like two different servers and two bus boys asking us what we wanted to order so not really sure who we were to order from. And the table seated much after us got fed first.
My veggie burger was quite meh. I usually love the veggie burger option so that was a bummer. Had to eat it with a lot of ketchup.
On a plus note, dogs are allowed when you sit outside!
