Very poor service. I walked in with my puppy in arms and the woman behind the counter greeted me, no problems. She waits until I’m about to order then tells me no dogs allowed. The right thing to do would have been to tell me no dogs in the first place but tell me I could order and they could bring it out for me. You lost a sale and a customer as I live a few blocks away and was looking forward to coming back… If the coffee was good. I’ll never know. Here we come Starbucks, they bring the coffee out for me.

Not coming back. $ 10 card min. They’d rather turn away a sale than incur a credit-card fee, which is a regular business cost. Greedy in my opinion, I’d rather give my money to businesses who care more about their local community than incurring a few percentage points on a sale. Also, they serve La Colombe which a lot of places do, so not missing much. Places nearby with coffee and not fussy about card use Kinship(30th) 60 Beans(Ditmars) Gossip(30th)

This place is really great in a hip, burgeoning part of Astoria. The cold brew is great and they always make the coffee to your liking. I have always been greeting by a friendly barista, and I hope this place stays for a while.

I’ve really tried to like this place because I live nearby and I’d love a convenient, higher-quality alternative to bodega coffee when I’m feeling too lazy to make my own brew… but it’s pretty disappointing and also bit too over-priced. The last straw and the impetus to write this review though was the latte I had today, which was easily the worst latte I’ve ever had. For $ 4.50 I was handed a ¾ths filled cup of something which barely qualified as being lukewarm, which was hard to understand given that the guy made it and immediately handed it to me, it hadn’t been sitting out or something. It was not enjoyable to drink and I should have complained… but I was too lethargic(that’s why I wanted coffee in the first place). I’m no coffee genius so I can’t pinpoint how the latte was made so terribly, but the end result just sucked, I’m sad to say. And he probably should have felt through the cup that the temperature was not right. If you’re in the immediate area and don’t feel like walking to some of the better options closer to 30th ave and the subway, I guess it’s OK(maybe avoid the lattes?)… but Caffino definitely isn’t worth a special trip.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! You can’t beat the freshness of their products, and the quality of their coffee. The cold brew is the best I’ve had. I travel from Forest Hills to Astoria for it on a daily basis! Yep, it’s that serious. My dad is a coffee critic and swears by their espresso, so I’d take his word on that. Their sandwiches– to die for! the Mean Green and the Smoked Turkey are my personal favs. They are made to order and are always super fresh. Yum! And to add icing on the cake, the owners are super friendly and welcoming. They also do a fantastic job decorating the place. So cute :)

Awesome little coffee shop in this part of Astoria! The iced cold brew is delicious, and I’ve have many cold brews from many places in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens — kind of obsessed. It’s very smooth — not bitter. I would say it’s the best cold brew in Astoria. Besides cold brew, their lattes and other beverages are also really good. In addition to coffee and drinks they also offer sandwiches. There are only 5 but they are high quality and made to order. It’s strange but when I get a sandwich here I feel like I’m at my parents house and they made me a delicious sandwich for lunch. Simple, light, fresh ingredients. The staff and owners are very friendly, always accommodating and remember their regulars. There are not many seats, although I usually find a seat to eat because they don’t promote having people stay here on laptops for hours — there are coffee shops who cater to that, but they are smart not to. When you only have 5 seats you can’t have them constantly full — although I never have felt rushed to leave. It’s a good balance. — — - NOTE: There is a credit card minimum of $ 10. If you’re like me, you never carry cash, so pick some up prior to coming here OR order a sandwich with your coffee!

I decided to try it after walking by and noticing what a cute place it is and then reading the reviews. Maybe I should have had the coffee? However, I read food reviews and those seemed good, so I ordered the tuna salad sandwich. The bread was supposed to be toasted, and it most definitely was not(something I didn’t notice until I was sitting on my couch eating my lunch) and there truly wasn’t much of the tuna salad itself on my sandwich. Maybe one day I’ll return and opt for a bagel and coffee instead.

Iced latte was perfect! Had just enough espresso and my friend had a iced mocha which was okay. The service was great, the owner is very friendly
