Meh it’s ok. I have been really craving tapioca for awhile and this is the only spot in Astoria near my work that sells it. It was $ 4.36 for a large one although I think a medium one would suffice for me. There is no food available at this place. All they sell is tapioca drinks which made me sad because I was craving some popcorn chicken too. I got the green milk tea with tapioca. I thought it taste ok, definitely not the best but good enough especially for being in Astoria. My main problem with it is that it wasn’t sweet enough, it tasted kind of bland. Maybe next time add a little bit more sugar and it will be better. But again for being close to my work I will definitely be back!

Friendly place! Small, quaint and FAST. Walked in and out with a very green and very delicious honeydew slush with boba! Came in between 6−7pm on a saturday and no food… sadness. I will have to try another time!

If I compare this bubble tea place to somewhere in Chinatown, this place is a mehhhh. I started to crave bubble tea and found that this was the closest near work. I decided to order the Strawberry Green Tea w/Lychee Jelly and was charged about $ 4 for a Medium(I believe that’s the smallest size they have). Was shortchanged, but didn’t say anything because the worker pretty much took what I was going to tip. As for the drink, it was just strawberry flavored sugar water and jelly. Will try milk tea next time and change my review if it’s any better

Got macarons tonight and they were literally the worst french macaroons I have ever had– hard as a rock, tasted freezer burnt, and clearly stale. The place is gross too, I don’t get the high rating… to be fair I didn’t try anything else, but I definitely won’t now.

I love this place, I go here every time I’m headed towards Astoria Park, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is super peaceful. I always get the lychee jelly tea it’s sooo great I haven’t been able to find a better place yet.

Really solid place. The staff is wonderful and friendly(usually I just get the same guy). They have a nice selection of teas. I get passion fruit tea almost every day. They have punch cards where you get the 8th tea free so that’s nice. Bubble texture is always good and chewy– never hard or mushy. They make everything pretty sweet so if you don’t like sugar, you may not like it. Never a long line, and no minimum for credit cards. All in all great tea place in a great location.

Very tasty peach bubble tea ! I almost gott usual passion fruit but I was really glad when I changed it up. It’s cheap & very tasty, I just wish they would’ve put less ice because I drank it really quick.

I always get the Thai tea with tapioca and its always yummy. Better than the other places I’ve been to in queens. Oh and their macaroons are also definitely taste worthy

The husband and I were happy with our taro & passion fruit(cold) bbteas! Using the Unilocal check in offer, the price for the drinks were good.

Taste great for Astoria. If your near here and craving bubble tea it will save you a trip to Flushing or over the bridge to Chinatown. This place hits the spot. PS: I’m not sure about the macaroons just had the almond milk bubble tea and free upgrade to a large with the great help from Unilocal!and it’s app, Thanks!

We found this cute local shop on one of the busier streets before heading out to Manhattan. It was small, clean, and someone was readily there at the cashier to help you. They have a decent amount of drinks to choose from including the basic ones at every boba shop. I ordered taro and a pistachio macaroon. The drink was good and not too sweet. It was enough to bring the sugar back up in my body that I burned off walking that day. The macaroon on the other hand was meh. Maybe it was old but it didn’t taste that good. Overall, I enjoyed my taro and their service.

Best Bubble tea I ever had in my life. Cute little spot you can tell the people of the neighborhood love this place as well. This is Bubble Tea made with Love

Just lovely — was in the area and haven’t had a bubble tea since my own neighborhood place in Sunset Park closed several months ago. Because Sunset Park needed another crappy bodega, instead of our one awesome tea place. But I digress… The guy at the counter was incredibly friendly, and he even knew how to answer my usually challenging«milk variety?» query. And they have ginger milk tea, which I’ve never seen and love in ways that passersby shouldn’t be allowed to watch me. Well, maybe I’m exaggerating. A touch. 5-star review on this one!

I have to say the last couple of shakes here have been way too watery, and the last coconut one was too sweet, still tasty but at almost 5 bucks I can just buy the powder myself.

Pretty decent milk tea place in Astoria. Literally a hole in the wall with just a few machines in the back. We got the green milk tea and it wasn’t too sweet which was a huge plus. The boba was kind of small but chewy which is way better than hard boba.

The Milk tea was pretty bad, not gonna lie. It was like 5% tea flavoring and 95% milk powder or some sketchy sh*t. Didn’t taste quite like milk or tea. Giving them 3 stars because I feel bad ripping apart their livelihood with a one star review, but they seriously need to step up their milk tea game. Pronto. The boba was fine.

One of the best discoveries and thing that has happened to astoria! BUBBLETEA! My church is really close to this place and we literally come every sunday. The bubble tea is really good. My favorites are the passion fruit, the milk green tea, the lavender, and the original. I also enjoyed the macaroons the rose one was nice. The guy is really awesome and accommodating.

Tapioca Story was empty when I came but the longer I stayed inside, more people came to visit. I can imagine it being busy when school gets out since it’s right across the street from a school(something to keep in mind when you visit). The staff here are super friendly, the café is spacious and clean, and the bubble tea is delicious! There’s quite a variety of drinks to get but I know what I like. I got a taro bubble tea that was upgraded to a large by checking in on Unilocal.Yumm… The large is actually pretty large too. The café also carries macaroons in case you don’t feel like going into the city for some. If you come here, don’t forget to get a stamp card and visit often!

Tapioca Story has a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages, including milk shakes, fresh juices, bubble teas, hot teas, coffee and probably more. I found the bubble tea to be reasonably priced, and able to be made with soy milk. The man behind the counter was very friendly and I’d love to go back just to give him my business. There are a couple of tables and there is wifi. Make sure to get a frequent customer card! Another Unilocaler said the store seemed to be clean but plain. I don’t think I can improve upon that description.

Tapioca is a nice bubble tea store in Astoria and possibly the only one that is worth trying. I don’t think they can compare to high quality bubble tea places where they use tea leaves and real milk instead of powders. However, it is decent bubble tea and the price is reasonable. I do like their fruit tea flavor and they sell Asian snacks on the side too, which is really interesting.
