Roman is great! I needed to fix my phone ASAP and he agreed to meet me outside of his work location. He fixed my phone in less than 15 mins. My iphone looks like new again. I had a non-​original screen before, Roman installed the original one and what a difference it is! I recommend his services to anyone!

My LifeProof case failed me while on vacation, resulting in a saltwater mess of an iPhone 6. Determined to not lose my photos from the trip, I took a chance and looked for the closest iPhone repair to my apartment. Roman was great! He told me up front exactly what he was going to do (basically diagnose my phone) and that he would let me know what needed fixing. The following day I called him up, and he said he spent 4 hours working on the water damage and was able to get the screen to turn on. I was super hopeful, and once I stopped by the shop an hour later he had figured out exactly what needed replacing. I really appreciated his honesty — after he went through all the parts that would need replacing and cost, I told him I had insurance on the phone. He took that into consideration and said that for a small fee he could help me back up everything to my computer so I could just go get a new phone. I decided to go ahead and replace what he thought were the most essential parts, and I have a functioning phone again!

Came here for the third time for water damage on my phone. Roman is great. Professional and a fair businessman.

Roman fixed my phone that had water damage. The phone had a few glitches after the repair with sound and charging, which Roman gladly took care of by replacing the same part again with a new one.
If you have water damage, keep in mind that Roman does not guarantee, rightfully so but it wasn’t disclosed to me from the start, that replacing a part that seems to be water-​damaged will fix all the problems and return the phone to its pre water damaged condition. He explained that it is due to the fact that extent of water damage may be difficult to estimate, which makes sense to me (I’m no IT expert, though!).
Something to keep in mind before you hand in your water damaged phone anywhere, not just this place.

First time I went to Roman, I was very pleased with his service, I really wanted to believe that he had the best service and prices.
However, after going to his shop a second time, I was extremely disappointed. I had written a great review, even came back to him for a second time and referred 2 of my friends, I couldn’t imagine why he would have ripped me off so bad.
I had broken my phone at LAX the day before and had even called telling him I was a returning customer, asking if he would be there Saturday (today) to repair my phone. He absolutely was there, and after acknowledging I had called the day before, agreed to fix my shattered screen.
It was not the service however that had disappointed me… It was the insanely steep prices that I did not expect. He tried to break down the prices and even claimed to give me «$ 20 off» but even my bf seemed puzzled by the charges.
After leaving I did some thorough research and I could’ve had my phone fixed for $ 60 less at the Apple Store!!! Before, when I had my iPhone5 Roman’s service was $ 20 less than Apple, which is why I didn’t question taking my iphone6 there to begin with. I expected the same great deal, if not better, than last time (considering I’m a dedicated customer). Also the Gorilla Glass he charged $ 30 for you can get for $ 10 on Amazon, as well as the speck case (he charged $ 30 for) is available for $ 20. I could’ve saved myself $ 70! In total I paid $ 180 at Roman’s!
So, if you want the best value, don’t waste your money. Just go to the 5^th Ave or UES Apple Store (30 min away) and wait the 2 days for your Amazon case and gorilla glass. It will save you a lot. The only reason why I kept the 2 stars was because my phone is at least fixed. Sorry Roman. Being cheap doesn’t pay.

The best service ever!!! Roman changed the battery and a home button in less than 20 min, my iPhone works better than before, I would definitely recommend him to all my friends ;)

Roman is the man. The charger port on my iPhone 5 had gotten loose and my phone wouldn’t charge. He knew exactly how to replace it. The price was reasonable and he was really fast. Easy guy to deal with. Highly recommended!

There was… an incident with my iPhone 5s. Significant enough where I wasn’t sure if I’d have to buy a new phone. Unilocal lead me here, and Roman came through big time. Not only did he replace the screen, but he also did some work on the frame itself to ensure the brand new screen sat properly — all for $ 150. That’s way better than having to buy a new phone.
Roman basically saved my weekend. If there’s an «incident» with your phone… go see this dude.

I broke, more like shattered, my iPhone 6 screen. I searched around Unilocal for a local place to do the repair. I ended up going here because they had my screen in stock, were close by, and could do the repair that afternoon. The price was on par with other quotes I had gotten. The repair took about 35 minutes on a busy Saturday afternoon. It’s been a week and I’m satisfied with the quality of the repair. I was also able to get an otterbox case for about $ 30 The people were very nice also. Oh, just an FYI, they are located inside a jewelry store.

Roman is highly recommended for all your cell phone needs. His ability to fix a phone quickly is impressive. His tips on how to properly care for your phone was invaluable. He is very honest and knows what he is doing. In the event my phone gets damaged in the future I now know who to call to quickly fix my problem.
I called him very late at 7:30 pm with an iPhone issue and instead of me having to wait until the next day he arranged to meet me at a convenient location and installed a new battery for an aging iPhone in less than 30 seconds.

I’m a master at breaking phones, like it should be my profession. Today I visited Roman after seeing all of the incredible Unilocal reviews with a shattered 4S. Great fast service with normal pricing. But, what makes him stand out is his honesty, personality and overall vibe. I felt like I trusted him, immediately. Honestly, I feel like phone repair is almost like car repair; I don’t know much about the process so they could just rip me off and tell me everything needs repair. He was honest about the issues and was super cool! He replaced my antenna as a favor and I’m currently writing this underground on the train (!!!) I used to battle with service ABOVE ground! (WHAT)
I’m so happy I went with him and so so glad I’ve got my baby back!
Oh, I should also mention, I traveled a good 25 minute walk just to go see him!

When I see all top-​notch reviews for a company, I start to get a little worrisome as to the validity of the accounts that left the reviews. But, with such specific comments from some of the reviewers, this place seemed legit enough to try out.
I dropped my iPhone a while back, cracked the hell out of my screen. I tried to deal with it for a while, and then I dropped it again. This time, it didn’t crack any further, but my screen started turning black after about 15 seconds… each time I turned it on.
Assuming that there was no hope, I remembered one of the reviewers saying she had a similar problem. I called the store, and Roman told me to bring it in to check it out, but he was confident he could fix it.
I swung by the next day, and Roman took a look. He told me he could fix it in about 20 minutes (screen, LCD, and gorilla glass added). I came back 20 minutes later and my phone was as good as new.
Roman really knows his stuff too. He gave me some suggestions on cases, offered to take a look at my broken case to see if he had any extra parts, and clued me in to some of the issues the Mophie case I was using could cause.
It cost a little more for the extra repairs of the LCD, but it was still less expensive than an insurance deductible. I highly recommend going to Roman. He’s a nice guy and does stellar work.

So I was on a mission to fix my mother broken iPhone 6 screen and didn’t know where and who to turn to. I started searching the web and called a few places located in manhattan, but all had prices that were irrational. So like any Unilocaler, I searched Unilocal for reliable and trustworthy businesses that can fix my situation in both short of time and inexpensive (Compared to Apple). So little behold, I find I repair wiz with 5 stars across the board.
Conveniently, it was a short driving distance away from me, so i hopped in my car and headed a few miles to check out the shop. The fella that works there was very kind and attentive to the phone that needed fixing. After his assessment, he told me my options, which were to replace the screen with another glass. He had the original glass as well as a cheaper replica that could be installed. Replica was cheaper, but I opted with the original.
While I waited on the replacement, we spoke and laughed at how the phone broke and he told me some personal stories, funny guy. When he was done, I couldn’t believe my eyes, the screen was restored and looked brand spanking new! He even offered something called a Gorilla glass screen protector to avoid this from happening again. Once we rang me up, he gave me the glass screen for half off which was very generous of him.
I left super pleased that I fixed the shattered phone and didnt leave my pockets inside. I truly thank you again for treating me kindly and throwing in the discount. I will absolutely come back f I have any future issues. Hopefully I won’t need to. but atleast I know where to turn.

I went to I repair Wiz and had nothing but GREAT experiences from the staff. Roman was especially accommodating and helpful with his experienced knowledge of the iPhone’s. I was really nervous at first and of course sad that I shattered my screen. But at the end of the day my phone was left In The BEST hands and was taken Care of promptly and respectfully. I was so happy and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Well done i repair wiz!!!

This place is great for a screen repair Roman is extremely fast with his work he got my phone fixed in under 20 minutes on a Saturday night. I want everyone to come check him out and see for yourself

Cons: try to park on the side streets there is parking infront of the shop but it’s metered

My phone was getting damaged to the point where the touchscreen was unresponsive, would freeze in the middle of texting, and then would darken until there was nothing but grids and and a black screen.
It was kind of scary. I didn’t want to get a new phone nor did I want to pay my insurance deductible for a replacement, so I frantically searched Unilocal for a repair shop and this came up.
Roman made a diagnosis in 2 seconds: Water spots underneath my phone. He replaced it ($ 120) and placed a Gorilla glass screen on top of it ($ 25). Fixed in 30 minutes. Almost thought I got a brand new phone when he gave it back to me.
I promised him a glowing review, and he most certainly deserves it. He does have a slightly gruff exterior, but he’s a total sweetheart on the inside and definitely knows what he’s doing. Highly recommended!
