This is the ONLY place I have had a successful bra experience. I am am uncomfortable 36D, and anywhere I go offers bras with all this extra nonsense which will make me look like a size E. Why? Madeline’s has bras for all occasions. Casual, sensual, cloth and underwire. I had my first bra fitting here when I was young, and when I did dance my mom barely flinched when she had to sew bras into my costumes because of my bust, because they were AFFORDABLE. Thank you Madeline’s!

Great selection of hose and other foundation wear. Very helpful staff, they will find you what you need. If it’s not out on display, it’s probably behind the counter in the shelves chock full of labeled boxes of all sizes, colors and shapes. They have a selection of dance clothing also. Check out the stocking bargain basket for occasional cheap finds.

I absolutely love this place. Two days before my wedding I had an issue with the foundation I had purchased elsewhere to wear under my dress. After striking out on finding a replacement at Macy’s and Bloomingdales, I walked by Madeleine’s Hosiery and decided to give it a shot. I had a very similar experience to the first reviewer– the woman who helped me knew exactly what I needed and brought it to me in under a minute. Oh, and instead of over $ 100 it was under $ 20! It fit me like a glove and worked perfectly under my dress. I also walked out of there with stockings for $ 4. Who knew everything I needed was right around the corner?! Madeleine’s saved the day!

I waltz in out of the rain in desperate need for a strapless bra. In a weird and hard to find size, of course.
I tell the very polite woman what I need, and not 2 seconds later she pops back with something. I try it on and BAM. Perfect! Built like a tank, swims like a dolphin.
No, just kidding about the dolphin part. I think.
Best part was it was about $ 12. Amazing.
They have a huge, crammed in boxes array of things. Stockings, «sexy» stockings, socks, pjs, etc. It looks like a storage room. But those boxes hold cheap, well made treasures.
VS is about a block away. Ignore it in favor of this place.
