The place is a gem, the people there are gems, and the food… DELICIOUS!!! We ordered: the Nosh Burger, the Banh Mi burger, the Nosh fries, the Mac and Cheese(UMac), and Wafcos galore. What is a Wafco you might ask? Waffle taco shells with delicious seasoned meat n’ banh mi trimmings. ALL delicious, and to top it off, Sweet Potato Beignets(lil cute zeppole deliciousness) I wish this place has existed when we’d lived in the area, but we will definitely be back. The warmth of the folks that run it, to the food itself, all worth waiting for in the meantime!!!

Clean, friendly, and soooo tasty. Got the Nosh Burger and was blown away. The inside of the store smells like BBQ, and is clean. Going to go try the brisket platter next.

Macaroni and cheese was amazing. Will definitely reorder. The Nosh Burger was very high quality meat(tasted like a great steak) cooked to perfection and had a slightly sweet flavor because of the caramelized onions and smoky bacon marmalade. Chicken pot pie was a little too salty for my taste but perfect for a warm and filling winter meal. The biscuit on top of the chicken pot pie was so good. One of the best meals in Astoria and all three of us ate for less than $ 50. Delivered quickly within 25 minutes. Totally worth it. If you are on the fence, stop thinking and start ordering.

It’s not a place to dine-in because the layout itself is not fun nor inviting(Even though the staff is incredibly friendly) but that has no impact on the food. The staff seems to really care about what they put on your plate and it shows. I have been several times; I got the Nosh burger and nosh fries with gravy which was very good but then I tried the beef brisket wafco and it changed my life. Still rotating the sides; roasted sweet potatoes with bacon is very good but dirty rice is nothing special. Whatever you choose as your side, make the beef brisket wafco your main course and you will be satisfied.

Love this place! The best pulled pork! They put so much care and love into their food. The workers are always warm and inviting! Wish they had a better location so I can come here more often!

Waited in the poorly utilized space(one table with chairs on just one side, some space that could clearly get seating but lacks it) for the excellent & brilliant Beef Brisket Wafco $ 8.50 and Spiced pumpkin Beignets $ 4.00 from the friendly staff.

the only thing not perfect about the pork belly was that that it was a small portion. I’ve had the chicken and the brisket and they are fine. The pork belly is great. Looking forward to trying more off their menu. Oh the sides are awesome.

It’s a hidden gem tucked away in Astoria! It is actually open at 12pm. You can’t fool me Unilocal with these misleading business hours. Foodies will always find their food. I ordered the Nosh Burger, a side order of their mac n cheese and a soda. First thing that I noticed was the amazing customer service. She smiled and took her time taking my order. Best service that I ever received. The second time that I noticed was that the cook was very thoughtful in the preparation of my meal. This thing came out looking perfect. I was impressed with the food presentation– take a look at the burger and the soda can next to it. The mac n cheese is very good– I do recommend eating it while its hot. The taste diminishes as the cheese gets cool and harden. The food was very tasty– well flavored. The food is a bargain given the prices. When I was finishing my meal– the cook came over and gave me a pumpkin beignet on the house. Ummm… yes! I like ya from the meal, but now I love ya. Another customer got one as well. No special treatment here– just very good service. Good food w/amazing customer service. I’m now a fan!

A cute little place in Astoria. I ordered the beef brisket platter which came with a biscuit and 1 side. At first glance it doesn’t look like much but it’s a not too bad of a portion size. Brisket was very tender but a little fatty. The size I chose was the Mac and cheese(based on reviews). It was good, not the gooey cheesy kind of Mac and cheese if that’s what you’re looking for. Overall I’d say this is a decent spot based on food and price.

These guys are great. I am a big fan of their kale salad and their Mac-n-cheese. They use a lemon dressing that is tasty, but not so aggressive that it overpowers the cranberries, sweet potatoes, sunflower seeds and kale. The mac n cheese tastes homemade– perfect. What I do not love is their $ 15 minimum for delivery, but I understand. I’ve only ordered take out.

What a lovely little find. The food is so good here, I wish I didn’t find it! Pure comfort food served by really, really lovely owners. Try the biscuits and gravy. Cheap and seriously delish.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here for the first time last night, and it was delicious. I had the chicken pot pie and he had the beef brisket with gravy on a biscuit, and we split a side of Mac and cheese. It was raining pretty bad out so they were particularly busy so we decided to eat in. The food was really good and tasted fresh. We both cleaned our plates! The prices pretty reasonable. Our whole meal with drinks was less than 30 $ so we were pretty happy. The owners were really sweet and even brought us out complementary blueberry doughnut holes for desert, which I didn’t see on the menu but I hope they add them because they were the bomb. Over all this place really hit the spot on a cold rainy night. If you’re in the mood for some good comfort food for a good price, I would definitely recommend this place.

We went on a crappy, rainy night. When we arrived, the employees were so welcoming and excited we had come in the rain to check the place out. My husband and I split the whole meal(there was more than enough). The wonderful female employee(owner?) also made us blueberry beignets on the house for making a trip just for this food in the rain. She was so sweet and caring. The food– INSANELYAMAZING. We had the Nosh Burger, Nosh Fries, Mac & cheese, and blueberry beignets. I do see where other customers have complained about taking the meal to go may result in a bun becoming soggy. The caramelized onion on the burger does cause the bun to get soggy, I would recommend and plan to eat there.(Not sure how busy this place is on a normal– non rainy day), but if you can get a seat and eat there– the food would be best to eat fresh.

This place might be the best hidden gem in Astoria, other than that pizza place by the water that’s so secret I forgot its name. Extremely friendly(albeit sometimes slow) service. Burger — goddamn. By far the best burger in Astoria. Better by leagues than bareburger or Burger Club, and a bit above the Sparrow. Nosh Fries — fries with sausage gravy and pico de gallo. A neat combination I’m rather surprised no one’s thought to try before. Biscuits and Gravy — the biscuits are dense and have a bit of Biscuick flavor to them, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The gravy is the same sausage gravy as on the fries, with the right amount of seasoning(aka salt). Mac and Cheese — very decently cheesy, and just salty enough. You do have to eat it quickly, though, because it congeals fast, and it congeals HARD. Wafco’s — Bahn mi style(i.e., with daikon, carrot, and cilantro) tender boiled chicken, pulled pork, or brisket(I didn’t have the brisket) in a very lightly sweet waffle shell. Comes with a homemade white sauce, a not-very-spicy red sauce, and a chimichurri. This is clearly their gimmick, and it’s a neat idea. The waffle could be a bit harder, as it loses some integrity, but I like the little bit of sweetness in it. This place is definitely worth dropping by for takeout or delivery if you’re in the Astoria environs. It’s not really a sit down place(limited drinks, no alcohol), so I’m not sure if it’s a destination, but locals should be swarming this place.

Kiss the chef for me! This was the first time visiting this eatery. A friend and I ordered the Mac & Cheese, Nosh Fries, Wafco Beef Brisket, and Roasted Chicken with Biscuit to share. Every one of the dish was large enough to share between two mouths and was delicious. My favorite was the Wafco Beef Brisket and Mac & Cheese. The Wafco Beef Brisket was well garnished and balanced with the right amount of beef to «Wafco» ratio. The Mac & Cheese was baked well and it was not over powered with cheese. I enjoy eating a balance of all the ingredients and being able to taste each to discern the ingredients. I enjoyed my meal and the side dishes. The food was served in a timely manner and service was friendly. I look forward to my next visit and recommend all my friends to dine here for a different taste.

This place was really awesome. The Nosh Burger was very very good. The bun was probably the best part, it tasted like they buttered it and then crisped it up around the edges. We got Nosh Fries with our burgers and those were pretty unique. The sausage gravy with pico de gallo is a brave idea and it actually works in a lot of ways. The place is really quiet and the only weird thing was they didn’t play any music and the inside sort of looks like the waiting room of a dentist’s office… but hey we came here for the food! And that burger was legit, loaded with awesome toppings, the bacon marmalade was key, and for only $ 8.25, I can’t complain. I would definitely try this place if you’re in the area.

I came here over the weekend and had a bit of trouble looking for parking. So while my BF waiting in the car, I ran in to place our order to go. The owner felt so bad about the lack of parking that she even offered to help us look for a spot! We ordered the Nosh burger, nosh fries and the chicken wafco. The burger is no joke. Get it done medium and make sure you’ve got a big mouth or else you’ll be cutting into it with a knife and fork like I did. I’m no burger connoisseur but I’ve had my fair share of Shake Shack, In-n-Out, Umami, etc. but this Nosh Burger really tops the charts. I want to say it’s probably the best I have ever had. The nosh fries are pretty amazing too but their specialty is the wafco. Like everyone else had described, it resembles a bahn mi wrapped in this crispy-crêpe-like waffle. I like my food flavorful but texture is also key to good eats.(Hence, why I avoid hot pot. I’m not an 80 yr old woman wearing dentures, I don’t need my food mushy) After consuming all of this food, I was conflicted. I couldn’t leave! There was so much more on the menu I wanted to try~! So we ordered the brisket to go with came with a side and biscuit. I don’t like brisket but I trust my fellow reviewers and since everyone raved about that and the mac and cheese, that was what I got. Now — I will tell you this because if you’ve only got so much stomach space and need to prioritize what you’re putting in, I would skip the mac & biscuit. I also realized that the reason I don’t like brisket because I’ve never had the brisket at Nosh. I almost feel a bit sad for all the people that have never had the chance to brisket here.

This place is a buried treasure in Astoria. I was a little skeptical of the place, because it did not look too busy, but ordered the noshburger and was not disappointed. There are many different flavors in the burger that go together perfectly. The burger itself was huge and a bit messy, but filling and oh so good. Id definitely revisit!

My go-to neighborhood spot for almost all the times I don’t feel like cooking for myself. Love the wafco — chicken or pork(chicken over pork in my opinion), pickled vegetables, wrapped up in a thin crispy waffle taco, and topped with cilantro sauce. So good! Also love the banh mi burger, the nosh fries, and the chicken pot pie. Everything tastes fresh, clean, and delicious. The place itself is small. Food is served pretty efficiently, and on trays when dining in — which makes for a nice grab-and-go spot. Plus the couple who runs the place is super sweet.
