Pronto Pizzeria

My husband and I lOVE this restaurant! I am Italian and I can tell you the food at Pronto is the REAL AUTHENTIC Italian food!!! It is Amazing!!! This is our favorite Restaurant !! In addition the staff is so nice and sweet! Amazing Combination of food and environment ! Kudos to the great owner and the the wonderful waiter and staff!

This is a wonderful place to come and eat some great Italian food. The food is very good and the service is wonderful. If your in the area I highly recommend sitting down.
The owners come them self to take your order so the attention to detail is amazing.
My wife and I have really enjoyed our time in this wonderful little slice of Italy!

My wife and I went to this Pronto the other night. We’ve been here previously, but this time we were not so happy. Not only did my wife find several roaches in the bathroom on the sink, but in the dining area there was a roach on the counter. Now granted, it was just one on the counter, but it was enough to turn your stomach. We left, maybe we’ll return, but not for another day. Cleanliness is TOP priority for us. We spent a lot of money at restaurants and there are two things which «bug» us: 1) Prices which do not match them menu and we’re over charged; and 2), sanitary conditions. The food is usually very good however.

I’m here every single day, LITERALLY. I love the food and the service that I received. All the food is freshly made and you can taste it. From pizza to pasta, fish and steak dishes there is something for everyone to enjoy. If you are in the area, or if you’re not its worth the drive over.

I used to love pronto. Their food is very good. But their customer service is really bad. I order my food through seamless an hour after I placed my order, I decided to give them a call. First the guy on the phone had no manners and tells me to give them another 37 minutes because the order is not ready. When i asked why? he said because they forgot to look at the order because they were busy with dinners at the store. Who says that? Seriously. This was the third time this happened to me. Time to look for another pizzeria.

Best pizza in Astoria! I live two blocks away and staff is always frendly and nice! Pizza is soooo goood!

Basic NY pizza joint with good food and great service. Both the large pepperoni and garden salad were unremarkable in ingredient quality but prepared with care, generously portioned and exactly matching the style. Good house dressing on the salad.
I ordered through an online company who completely messed it up but the guys at the store couldn’t have been nicer about it. Really nice people and interesting to talk to.

It is the most unprofessional place I’ve ever called to place an order!
If whoever answered the phone thought he was speaking with an young kid he was wrong.
Don’t judge people for their features or voices. This is prejudice and you might can get in trouble.

Excellent Italian. Small inside for dining in, usually get take out, but either way Joe, the owner will make you feel right at home, very friendly. Possibly my most frequented restaurant in Astoria, and that’s saying something with the quality and diversity there today.
They have a variety of different salads, sandwiches, and the pasta is out of this world, big portions too. The Fettuccine Emiliane is my personal favorite, with prosciutto, cremini mushrooms and excellent white sauce. I’ve tried the red sauce based pastas too, and they’re all great, as well as the entrees. The Chicken Sorrentino with prosciutto, eggplant, tomato and fresh mozzarella is very good. Never had a bad entrée or dish here though, it’s legitimately all great.
Of course, can’t forget the pizza! They always have a variety of slices out, or you can order various sizes of whole pies, and if you like Buffalo Chicken pizza, it’s probably the best I’ve ever had. Excellently balanced with buffalo sauce (but not too spicy, balanced with blue cheese, and the most chicken I’ve ever seen on a pizza. The box is literally heavy!
The BBQ chicken, Margherita, and regular Napoletana are all great as well. It’s hard to choose!
They have great soups too and a full espresso machine, along with beers and wine.
Excellent food, great friendly service, big thumbs up!

My go to pizza spot in Astoria! I always order the buffalo chicken slices or chicken parm hero and I’ve never been disappointed. The owner is super friendly and delivery/​pick up is always on time.

Wow wow. So good. I highly recommend this place when you want a pasta dish of some sort. Their deserts are good too: no complaints (psst: eat your meal with a glass of wine) ;)

This is the place we always go to with my boss when we work in our warehouse, just a block away. We just love going to this place!
We always go there for lunch time and end up having the lentil soup that we love. We always get the mini pepperoni bites with the soup. Today we tried the quinoa soup which was also delicious, with a slice of the cheese pizza, which was normally good.
This is a very «neighborhoody» place. All the staff is kind and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxing and the music is great! It is always a pleasure to take our lunch break there.

This place offered a exceptional dinner experience. Sorry no food pictures… we eat it all.

Ok I really don’t understand all of the rave reviews for this place. It was just OK. Maybe we went on a bad night or too late in the day? We also only got the items in the case (garlic knots, a couple of types of pizza, and a few risotto balls) so maybe that’s the problem?
The staff in this establishment are super friendly. They have both pre-​made items as well as a menu of your typical Italian offerings. I wasn’t overwhelmed by the selection but the prices were definitely reasonable. We were super hungry, so we just opted for the stuff that could be done quickly. Although they were pretty good, they lacked quite a bit of flavor.
The space was pretty small (about 10 tables) but even on a Thursday night, they weren’t crowded. There was a decent selection of bottled beer and wine.
All in all, I think the moral of my review is just order something freshly made and reserve pre-​made pizza for a great place in Manhattan.

THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN ASTORIA, Probably even in QUEENS!
My boyfriend and I went to Pronto on Valentine’s Day. Don’t be misjudged by the size of the place. Although the venue is small-​ish, the food was LARGER than LIFE. I ordered the Fettucine Emigliane. It was by far the best fettucine I have ever eaten (and mind you, I spent 5 weeks in Italy). It was a fettucine alfredo with mushrooms. It was smoky-​tasting and had prociutto. My boyfriend ordered the Ravioli with spinach cheese, meat and butternut squash. It was very tasty, and very flavorful. Their spices were fantastic and their overall food quality was above par. The wine selection was perfect, and the appetizers were fresh as well. The garlic knots were small but delicious. Because they were even more bite-​sized, there was a higher garlic-​to-​bread ratio, and we couldn’t get enough of them.
The service was also AMAZING. We were TREATED LIKE ROYALS. They stopped by our table plenty of times, which is important to us because we hate restaurants where we can’t flag a waiter down for a refill or dessert. We were attended to promptly and they frequently asked if there was anything else they could do for us. The Italian owner was very much involved in his restaurant, and we felt like his guests.
Overall, the restaurant was FANTASTIC on our first time, and we will be returning for casual date-​nights or even with small parties to have a nice dinner to bandage the cold.

We’ve ordered from Pronto Pizza very regularly since we discovered them several years ago. The pizza is the regular NY fare, good thin crust with a decent option for toppings, although my husband and I usually just go for the classic pepperoni. However, our latest order showed up with all the pizza smashed into one side of the box! Like the pizza had been doing summersaults on the way to our apartment. I know it doesn’t effect the taste, but come on! I don’t think it’s too much to ask that our pizza arrive flat and in a circle. Geez.

This is probably one of my favorite Italian restaurants. The food is stellar, inexpensive for the quantity and quality, and best of all they have the best service in Astoria. Only set back is that it’s a little slow.
The quality of the food drastically increases when you eat in instead of ordering out, but they also treat you like you’re paying $ 100 per plate when you eat at the restaurant. The delivery guys are super nice too.
We’ve eaten there so many times that I don’t have a single experience I want to share. I just highly recommend visiting this restaurant.
Their dessert is good, but I’m pretty sure it’s boxed. You can get similar desserts anywhere. Don’t care. I love this place.

A week of lunches were thoroughly enjoyed, and all reheated well. Hearty portions, all!
Orecchiette alla Barese: perfect balance of protein, veg and carbs. LOVED this one! So fresh tasting!
Penne Bolognese: Subbed out linguine, as I requested. Hit the spot perfectly!
Fettuccine Emiliane: smoky with the prosciutto. Some sort of cream-​based sauce. Just enough in there.
Chicken Cordon Bleu: liked it, once I tried it. Foudn it odd that they cut the chicken in half (looked like two whole pieces cut into four total pieces)…because then all the goodness seeped out! But they slathered it in a mushroom bechamel… Wasn’t happy at first sight… then I ate it. Divinge! Hearty portion of spaghetti marinara on the side.
I’ll be ordering again!

It’s a nice casual above average place where you can get quick delivery or eat there in a nice setting. The eggplant parmigiana hero was huge! Big slices of eggplant, lots of cheese and sauce and freshly made. The guys in there are really friendly and gave us some delicious garlic knots on the house.
It’s really clean inside — more like a small restaurant than just a grab and go slice place. Cool music playing — from rock to reggae– overall a very chill vibe.
This will be my new go-​to pizza place in Astoria.
