Salon Verve

Absolutely love this salon! Been using Betsy for about a year now and adore her. I called, left a msg to make an appt and Betsy called me back, giving me her direct number to confirm my appt time. Very convenient having her number now to send a txt to set up other appts. The prices are about $ 60 less than I was paying in Eugene for cut and color. Love, love, love this place.

This salon is like an impenetrable fortress. I had a gift certificate to this place which I tried to book an appointment for two months. I left sooooooo many messages since nobody would ever answer the phone with no call back… The prices here would make a mama bird vomit up food into her baby’s mouth more often than necessary. I had to go into the salon to make the appointment. The broad that cut me hair kept asking my name over and over again while her fake black owl (which i presume was stuffed with pork medallions) stared at me from its quarters on her station. I got home and realized that my hair was completely lopsided. Even my 3 year old pointed it out. I did not even bother attempting to get it fixed there. I just did it myself. Worst salon experience ever. A hair trim cost me $ 50.00 plus tip… Get!

I just recently moved to the area and was looking for a new place to have my hair done, so I decided to try this salon. Christina did my hair and was a great listener. She did exactly what I had envisioned. The atmosphere is very friendly and I really loved my experience! It was a little bit more spendy than what I am used to but overall, very worth it! Christina is amazing!

It’s been a pleasure to have Sari cut my crazy curly hair for the last 10 years. She keeps it just edgy enough to fit my spirit while keeping it appropriate for work. Plus I love the scalp massages.

I came from out of town to have my wedding in Astoria– I had no idea where to get my hair done. We stumbled upon this Salon somehow, and I am SOOO glad!!! Sari and her girls were amazing!!! We had the whole shop to ourselves– they supplied champ and snacks, and my mom, 5 bridesmaids and I just hung out and had the best experience. Everyone of us was so happy with how our hair turned out!!! So beautiful– they listen to what you like and make it happen!!! I brought a picture I had found on Pinterest and Sari made my hair look even better… I cant stress enough how happy I am we chose salon verve. We had pedicures done another day at a bohem salon nearby – I just kept thinking, thank god we didn’t have them do our hair!!!
If you have any doubt which salon to go with, stop right now. Verve is absolutely the best choice. You will be treated amazing and you will leave feeling happy and beautiful. If I lived in Astoria permanently this would absolutely be my spot. Thanks so much Sari!!!

Sari is wonderful! I’ve been having trouble with my hair and she took the time to listen and trim it just the way I asked. She had very wonderful tips for my hair also. She did the minimal I wanted and did not push for more. I’m getting compliments again! Also, her prices are very reasonable. Everyone in the store is extremely kind. I felt very comfortable there.

I have been a client for 10 years and have never had a bad experience. I get stopped everywhere I go and am asked what salon does my hair. Betsy, Sari, Denise and Mindy are the best. Betsy is my girl and she always knows what I’m looking for when I want a change. Wish there was a 100 star rating!

I was very disappointed with this salon. Mindy was the gal who did my hair. She didn’t do a good massage in the bowl (when you’re paying $ 45 for a haircut — I expect it!). When she asked how I wanted my hair styled, I said straightened please (I have slightly wavy hair). She sighed and said, «Well it looks like it’s going to rain, so I don’t think that’s a good idea.» Frankly, I don’t care what you think!!! You asked how I wanted my hair. When she started blow drying my hair, the brush she used was filled with hair — YUCK! At the end of the service, my hair was still partially wet and not styled nicely at all! My husband was waiting at the front, and said «Ummmmm are you done?» This was the worst service I had ever received at a salon. Don’t waste your time or money.
