I swear somebody needs to rescue me from my craving for Brazilian food :-) It’s been a week and after eating at Brasilianville I was yearning dessert. The lovely counter person at Toda Nossa bobbed his head up and down when I asked if their passion fruit mousse is good. No surprise there as I didn’t really think anyone would say: «No, our mousse tastes like armpits on a 100 degree weather.» So, I bought the mousse and walked five(5) blocks to get home. It was the biggest and quickest strides I’ve made in my entire life. I tasted a teaspoon of the mousse and placed a dainty morsel on my lips. I then placed down the teaspoon and switched to a tablespoon! I loved it! It was a well-spent $ 2.50 Please note that although I’ve previously tried the empanadas and the food, this review DOESNOT cover those items and is limited to the passion fruit mousse. :-).

Toda Nossa is actually bigger and nicer than it looks from the outside. It has a nice little patio in the back and the seating area inside is actually not bad. They have couches and little tables. It’s an inviting little place to sit, drink some coffee, have a little nosh, and chat with a friend, or read the paper. The coffee is palatable, but on the weak side. The pao de queijo(Brazilian cheese bread, pronounced«pow de kayzo”– note: it’s gluten free being that it’s made from tapioca flour) is sold 3 for a $ 1, but they’re the tiniest little pao de queijos you’ll ever see. Each one is like one bite. Maybe two if you’re a dainty eater. If you live in the neighborhood and are looking for a decent casual place to sit to relax or have a quick meal, Toda Nossa serves the purpose.

Great place to stop in for some authentic Brazillian food. The staff is very warm and welcoming and they offer low cost specials daily. I go here every so often for a strong coffee and to try something new. Having been there at least 10 times I have yet to have a bad experience. If you are in the the neighborhood and looking for something new check it out.

100 percent Brasilian. So much so, I abandon all English spelling of the word. On that note, Portuguese is such a tease. It’s like, I THINK I know how to communicate with these Latinos, but noooo, it’s totally not Spanish. Prices are excellent, but for me only at lunchtime. 6 dollars for a full lunch plus dessert. I had sirloin steak, rice, a cup of beans, salad and a cup of jello. The jello I didn’t finish, but the rest made me a very happy lunch breaker. The staff are nice and are proud of their food. Not a destination brasilian like other places in the neighborhood, but I still have shopping carts of love for it. When I passed by in the past, I always thought the flag on the awning was just a temporary piece of signage. No, it’s the freakin’ Brasilian flag and they represent. No decal or graphic design, It’s a real flag braving the elements. By now the flag is a bit more tattered then when I first noticed it, with a bit more character. I finally get it. The Brasilian flag always seemed so gnarly to me. Looking at it now, I realize it’s stars on the globe, but when I was a kid I always imagined them as spikes. When I would play Summer Games on the commodore 64, about half of the time I would pick Brasil. On days when I was feeling like the good guy, I would pick USA; Badass, I would choose Japan; and one weird, cool mother effer: BraZil. 2 negatives: the water is poland spring and I like tap water. The silverware and tables are straight from Ikea. But I can’t gripe on that, can I? Eh, I will. Either way, the grilled sirloin was excellent, the menu complex, I felt the love. There is also a garden in the back where you can chill out. It seems like everyone here is just chillin. Just chillin, eatin a steak. And for what it is, a little brasilian café, it doesn’t get any better.

What a find! I’ve lived near this place for a year and a half and only went for the first time over the weekend. When you walk by it looks like a bakery with only a few tables but there’s a whole back section with lots more tables. First of all, the bathroom is impeccably clean. Second, the woman behind the counter was incredibly nice. We ordered a Brazilian hot dog, a chicken-and-cheese empanada, a freshly made beet-ginger-celery juice and a macaroon-esque cookie for dessert. The empanada had a flaky, buttery crust and a gooey inside. Really yummy. The hot dog was on a substantial roll with lots of condiments that I can’t even remember but it was dripping with goodness. The juice was soooo gingery and refreshing. They have lots of fresh juice options and you get a pretty big cup for $ 4 or so. And I loved the coconut cookie because I love macaroons. They had lots of other dessert options inside the glass case so I’d be curious to try some other things. We sat by the window and it was just really pleasant. The other neat thing is that they have lots of random Brazilian products – candy, snacks, etc… Oh, and lots of acai! I think they also have free Wi-fi.

I like this spot. Nice interior although one of the tables is really close to the cashier so it’s kinda cramped. Other than that it’s great. Also has a chill seating area in the back with couches and more tables. It’s a small, quiet place. Food-wise, I could tell the quality was good. Bunch of really good looking desserts, cakes and pastries on display too but was too full to want one after a hotdog and a chicken empanada. For being so small, there’s a lot of things they offer on the menu and they make shakes and coffee among other breakfast things. Overall I could definitely see myself going again, good stuff.

This is a cute little café where you can select from a limited number of pastries and homemade cakes behind a glass, including some savory ones that I think include meat. There is also a long list of fresh fruit shakes and coffee drinks that are fairly pricey(all about $ 4.00 and up), as well as a few sandwiches and breakfast choices. I got the Brazilian hot dog($ 4.00), which is a hot dog halved and put in a toasty French-bread-like bun, with some corn and potatoes, as well as ketchup and I think mustard, and a mango-kiwi-strawberry shake($ 4.50), which was recommended to me by the lady behind the counter. Brazillian music plays in the background, and the owners are definitely Brazilian. Cute place — especially the section towards the back which has a couch as well as more little tables with chairs. Also appeared to be a back entrance perhaps to a garden? Not a bad stop right by the post office, but not a terribly user friendly place in terms of selection.
