Every time I come here and order the tacos (the beef and carnitas are equally delicious) I see them and wonder if my memory serves me right. These were supposed to be the best tacos I’ve ever had? Did they always look so… mediocre?
But then every time I take a bite and remember that, yes, these are definitely the best. Somehow they manage to hide the flavor until you bite into them, but you will not be disappointed. The focus of the flavors is obviously on enhancing the natural flavor of the meat — you won’t be tasting tomatoes, lettuce or onions first, but rather onions and cilantro and a subtle salsa as refreshing aftertastes, just playing off of the savory deliciousness that is the meat.
If you’re looking for spicy tacos, get the beef tacos with hot sauce. If you’re looking for savory, get the carnitas tacos by themselves.

Ordered chile verde burrito, wet, no lettuce and an asada burrito both to go. Both burritos came wrapped and in a paper bag, my push over husband just grabbed them and we left, even though I was protesting that a wet burrito can’t come wrapped up. Oh well, I thought, whatever. Got home, unwrapped my not wet burrito and what did I see peeking out of the burrito? Lettuce, TONS of lettuce, thanks for not getting my order even close to right. Chile verde had an ok flavor but had a mealy texture, kind of weird. Husband said, try mine, there’s no lettuce on it. Steak was tougher than jerky, couldn’t even chew it, I had to spit it out. Don’t waste your time or money. I feel sick to my stomach now, and I’m hoping it just goes away and doesn’t get worse:(

Cheap, fast and delicious! Don’t underestimate these tacos because not only are they bursting with flavor, but with meat. One taco can be equivalent to two. Good horchata too! In the words of The Terminator, «I’ll be back.»

Although they have a friendly staff, their food is sort of disappointing. The fish tacos look like they went to mcdonalds and chopped up the fish and put it on a corn tortilla with 2 slices of onion and green peppers. I can’t tell if the green stuff they put on my plate was runny guacamole or thick salsa verde. My friend’s tacos came with meat that looked old. The stars were for customer service. I don’t think I will be coming back.

Worst food ive ever experienced. I went thete on a sunday at lunchtime and ordered the enchilada plate to go. When i got home the meat tasted like it was 2 days olé and the frijoles were runny and very bland. I threw the entire meal in the trash. I will never step foot in this place again.

Uhg. I don’t think they like white girls here. First they give then take away someone else’s burrito that was an eat in order, mine was to go. Then serve everyone else who came in after me. Then ask me if I wanted something else… ummmm no, just my burrito. then theres no salsa (which they’ve already confirmed while ordering which kind), they ask if I want some on the side. I asked if there was some in the burrito and they told me yes, so I didn’t get the side. Then while I’m eating it, I see theres none in it and the rice has no seasoning, its white… just like me

Well is it now over three years since my initial review. They still have it going on here at Taco De Mexico! Yep. Good Chili Verde Tacos today. Chunky, rich, lean, piled high and oh so flavorful. Tacos de Mexico is still my go to place for great tacos, wonderful burritos, and tasty taquitos. Friendly, nice people, order in Spanish helps, daily specials and the price is right. I love the little tacos they are so good, and the big problem is my taste buds want more of the wonderful flavors and my tummy is FULL. Oh the problems of good food and giving your mouth a good time and keeping the inches off the waist. I know it is a personal problem and I will deal with it, Just give me one more taco, please!

Chilango style tacos, excellent taste. Authentic mexican tacos. Wpuld recommend for a quick stop and meal if in a hurry or to take out. The place is a hole in the wall bit the food is excellent. Quick eat and go type place.
