Our group of 3 came in and the guy said its about a 25 minute wait. So we were like okay, there’s 2 groups ahead of us and the restaurant looked busy. He NEVER took our names. 10 minutes pass and a few more groups come in and I see another host taking names and telling people the wait time. We told the host that the guy never took our names. turns out he put down«3 people» and 25 minute wait. I found it racist that he couldn’t even ask for our party names. but I let it go. Our waitress was amazing, she didn’t check on us during the meal but I realize it was a busy friday night. The food however was lacking in so many ways. The pizza was almost cold when it got to the table and the pasta was bland. The best thing about the meal was the spinach artichoke dip. I probably won’t come back.

Tonight was my second time at Brixx. They are great! The servers are super helpful and kind. The food is delicious, from their salads to pizzas and desserts. And their prices are great, especially for a date night. The restaurant is also super clean and kept well. This ones a keeper!

Brixx is pretty good. I recommend their mushroom and chicken pasta. Pizza is alright as far as I can remember. Their pumpkin tiramisu is terrible though. It was watery for some reason, the ladyfingers were super soggy, and it just wasn’t thick like it should be. It seemed like it was made 3 hours before. I didn’t finish it. However, their cheesecake is really good.

Overall, great experience here. Our waitress was really attentive and everything came out fast. The Greek salad was a great starter. The spinach and artichoke dip was really yummy and came out almost immediately after ordering. We ordered two gluten free pizzas and two regular. The gluten free crust was actually really great. The Rustica pizza was our favorite. We also really liked the artichoke pizza – the goat cheese on it was delicious. The Sweet Thai pizza was a little weird because it was way too sweet.

This is your classic example of a chain. I love pizza especially brick oven pizza. This place exists due to a series of lies. The restaurant was busy as Georgia had just pulled the feathers off of South Carolina. The décor and design and welcoming. You could be in any mall or airport in America. It is an example of how a downtown like Athens which has a wonderfully strong sense of «local color» is growing and expanding due to the need for more parking which in turn creates the opportunity for these«chains» to come in and dilute any sense of «local» or «color» as it has neither. My pizza was what I expected«looks wise». Kind of rustic and simple-that’s fine. The waiter gladly tried to cover it up with several cranks of Parmesan but I still noticed the gourmet ingredients which on the menu read«wild with 3 varieties» were actually just one — the boring white mushroom you buy at Kroger. I took a bite. The crust was not crunchy on the bottom which made me suspect as a real brick oven makes the crust have a very distinct crunch(not raw). This is when I realized this isn’t a real brick oven pizza. Hell there was no firewood or smoke anywhere. It’s a giant fake electric thing made to look like its a brick oven. I suspect the misspelling of the word brick in the name may explain the illusion. Brixx can exist in a town like Athens because a new parking deck was built and these parking decks(this is a national situation) are very profitable for the builders as they become landlords and build out specifically for chains many of which they have previous relations with from other such projects. Which really means they have absolutely no relations with the community and as in this case the city council put minimal thought into what they were about to introduce. It is a cancer that is spreading all over small town America. Welcome to your future. The concept of sprawl has found it’s host, a parking deck, carrying that horrible food with it. It is a disneyfied concept of food. If that place has a chimney rising through the innards of the parking deck that birthed it I will go back but there is no way it’s real. There are much better pizzas in Athens to enjoy. I wish I had gone down the street to Ted’s.

Such a nice cool late August night, sitting on their patio, listening to good music from speakers … Just not very! Great waitress, by the way!

So, Brixx. The only notable thing about Brixx was the lack of prompt service. When we arrived, the hostess was prepared to seat us, though she immediately directed us to the bar when we told her we’d like place an order to go. The bar was a different story. We stood for about three minutes waiting for someone to notice us waiting(I will take partial blame for this, as I tend not to cause a scene if waiting too long.) When we were discovered, the man behind the bar gave us perfunctory service at best. It almost seemed like taking to go orders was a very unusual turn of events for them. Now, the food is what’s important, right? Well, it was hand made, and pretty tasty, though not quite worth the price($ 10 for a 10-inch BBQ Chicken pizza). There are similar places where your pie is made with a little more care. For me, this was not the best place to go for a pizza. It was decent food, but not worth the price, or for the service.

This place is amazing. The staff is very friendly, the service is quick, and the food is delicious. The pizza has a very thin crust, so you do usually end up eating more than you usually do. I would recommend the buffalo chicken pizza. Also, the prices are a bit high, but they have a buy one, get one free deal after 10 pm.

Visited Athens July 4th. I think either they didn’t expect the volume or somebody called out sick. Our lovely server handled it!!! She and the pizza chef were a team! The BBQ chicken pizza with traditional crust was light and flavorful! I’ll be back!

We came here after finding no place with a kitchen open after 10pm on a weeknight. They had a great selection of draft beer, a full bar(albeit small) and many good specials. We sat at the bar and Jessi served us. She is a great bartender and made good beer recommendations. We both sampled a couple different beers and ordered a 4×4 pizza and a Rosemary Chicken and mushroom pizza. Brixx’ pizza is thin crust. Both were very good. Lots of flavor. Even though they are a chain, we’ll be back.

Came to eat here one night after spending a FORTUNE for dinner at the nearby Branded Butcher. Brixx is perfect; cheap, cold beer and tasty pizza. What more could a guy ask for?! I can no longer remember the specific name of my pizza, but each of our pies looked and smelled terrific! I would definitely recommend this place to others for a quick bite to eat. Oh, and we were there during trivia night(I believe it was on a Sunday evening?), which made the experience much more enjoyable. A little loud for the younger ears, so maybe you’d consider sitting on the outdoor patio if you decided to go with the family. Try the Athena beer(a local Athens brew), then tell me thank you whenever you get the chance. ;-)

It’s a chain and you can tell it’s a chain, but the formula is pretty damn good. This outpost was making pies with plenty of fresh herbs and vegetables. I liked the thin and crispy crust as well. The good variety of local and regional beer on tap was much appreciated as well.

Soggy crust. Weird flavors. Slow service. What’s not to like? Apparently nothing as the Athens masses seem to flock in to the way below average pizza. Easily the worst pizza in town

Pizzas here were hit and miss, but I really like that you can put 2 specialty pizzas onto one personal pizza. We tried these: mushroom– miss artichoke and red pepper– hit fig and pear– miss rosemary chicken– undecided pineapple cilantro-hit Overall we were happy with the meal, and they are one of the only places open between lunch and dinner in Athens on the weekend. They had a good beer menu too.

Really good wood-fired pizza spot! Was pleased from the moment we walked in. Staff was courteous and the restaurant was clean and comfortable with options for high-top, bar, or table seating… as well as a spacious outdoor patio area. Had the wild mushroom pizza – very well done, and a hefty portion for one or good to split with a salad. I had the arugula salad, which was also generously portioned, fresh, and flavorful! I believe I heard mention of vegetarian options and maybe vegan? The atmosphere was clean and crisp, but still comfy. Not too loud. They had a couple of screens. Looked like they had some decent drink and lunch specials as well as a pretty good sized beer and wine list… and they’re open until 2a! All around, a win-win situation. Definitely recommend it.

We wanted to grab a late night dinner after we got into town. Brixx was one of the few places open serving dinner around midnight. They have buy one get one free specials after 10 pm. The pizza was perfect. We liked the thin crust. Our favorite was the jalapeño margarita. It was so good, we ended up going back the next day before leaving to have a couple more rounds. I recommend checking this place out if you are in the mood for some pizza and good drinks. They also have nice patio seating.
