I really like living here. The office staff is nice and the maintenance staff are pretty quick. Free coffee in the morning(whenever they remember to make /refill it). A lot of free events for residents.

— Expensive rent(4bed/4bath: $ 479, everything included except electricity). — Far from campus(5−6miles in Athens!). — Few bus lines(take a shuttle or drive) — Bad wifi(usually slow & sometimes doesn’t even work). It’s only been 5 months living here and I can’t wait to move out. Find other apartments asap and save your money.(1 star for nice staffs)

The Connection is a great place to live! They work hard to constantly have activities and special treats for residents, from pizza in the Clubhouse to back to school pool parties! I highly recommend checking out The Connection for your next place to live in Athens.

Things have been great so far! More communication through email would be greatly appreciated for those of us who don’t check Facebook often. More grocery bingo!

Living at the Connection gave me an amazing first time experience living on my own. The apartment and community is really amazing. The people working are super sweet and willing to work with you on any request you have when apply. They always have fun events throughout the year, like bingo night, potato bar, free food, and a lot of other things during the holidays. This place is a bit new compared to all the other places which is amazing since there is no bug problems and not in the middle of a whole bunch of trees. Very close to Target, Walmart, Kroger, Publix, and all the yummy food places. Its bit far compared to other apartments, but its the best deal for what you are being offered. Its just about 10 minutes to campus and downtown Athens: D

They lure you in with nice rooms, way overpriced at best. What they don’t advertise is the distance from campus — takes me 20 mins to get to the arch usually, no guests allowed on shuttle downtown(they make you purchase them for $ 10 each during the day — office is closed when DT shuttle is going), gates that break every other day, ridiculous charges. Once we accidentally left a chair on our porch and woke up to a note threatening a $ 150 charge if it happened again. They advertise a tanning bed but don’t tell you that it is never cleaned. The electricity bill is always higher than any comparable property in Athens which goes to show the inefficiency of the units(3 bed, $ 200 a month for avg electricity usage)… And above all, THE most uncomfortable furniture ever made. I could go all day. Don’t live here.

If you’re a student at UGA and think these apartments look like a great deal, don’t buy it. Their services, especially the shuttle, are unreliable and the place is poorly run. But what’s worse, even if you pay your rent on time and finish out your lease, they’re going to send you a bill for something you don’t really owe them for. My bill was for a mattress, when the one they provided me was old, lumpy and I had to buy a mattress topper just to sleep on it. They sent me a bill for $ 170 and i disputed the charge. They never responded to the dispute and then sent the bogus bill over to a collections agency. I lived there in 2012, and I’m still fighting them. They turned in the fraudulent charge to the credit agencies to try to ruin my credit – and I haven’t even graduated yet! Don’t rent here unless you want a whole mess of problems with bills, credit, lawyers, agencies, etc. It’ll complicate your life in ways you can’t even imagine yet.
