Fluff is a great place to meet friends or have a quick lunch. My absolute favorite thing is their breakfast sandwich on the cheesy biscuit with eggs, pesto, & cheese(although you won’t need to eat for the rest of the day!), although I also love their bagels with specialty cream cheese. My husband loves the bacon pretzel wonderland but all of their sandwiches are delicious. It would be nice if they were served with a side of chips or something, but it’s still good. They also make a pretty good cappuccino. The only thing that keeps me from coming more often is their lack of wi-fi, although it’s likely intentional, as their space is not so large. Definitely check it out!

I had the vegan curry(it was a Friday, and apparently, Friday is Curry Day). It was ok; not the best I’ve had. I also had a vegan chocolate chip cookie, and it, too, was ok – not the best I’ve ever had. I’d try again on a different day of the week(not on Curry Day again).

I wish I went to Fluff more, since I’m about to graduate in 2 weeks. But what an awesome place to order some local, organic, homemade food! I’ve had a lot of their meals and desserts, but I think my favorites are the Cheeseball sandwich and the quinoa roasted veggie salad. The Cheeseball sandwich is on delicious focaccia bread with herbs, and the peppercorn mayo is spicy, but adds great flavor to the sandwich. The quinoa and roasted veggie salad has so many fresh ingredients, including some of the best cheese I’ve ever eaten! Also, the balsamic vinaigrette I got with it was delicious, and it had lots of tang without being too overpowering. If you’re looking for something special for lunch, this is a great place to stop in Athens!

We came in after going to the website(I would encourage you to it is great.) The place is small but cozy enough. Great staff, great décor, and then there is the food. I went biscuits and gravy. Biscuits are done perfectly just toasted enough to add a little crunch and stand up to the gravy but not so much so that the gravy didn’t soak in. There were two choices of gravy the curried mushroom and the chorizo. My advice is to try both and not sell either short. Whenever I am back this way I will be back. I would have included a picture but I was half way done with my food before that idea occurred to me.

We were in Athens over Labor Day weekend to visit the Dairy Barn. While walking around downtown, we noticed Fluff’s menu and decided we had to try a couple of things for breakfast the next day: the breakfast bagel with hummus, and the cured salmon with roasted sweet potatoes. As others have noted, the place is brightly painted, and though a little narrow with the tables across from the service bar it was overall inviting inside. There is also some outdoor seating. The staffer who took our order was very helpful, as was the cook/server who delivered the food. Being a bakery, I am guessing they make a lot of their baked goods, if not all of them. The bagels were not chewy, NY style; they were much softer, like bread. My plain bagel seemed more croissant-like than bagel-like, which I wasn’t expecting. The sandwich itself, though, was delicious — egg, cheddar cheese, roasted red pepper hummus — a vegetarian delight. We were disappointed that the salmon platter did not come with sweet potatoes(the menu does say tomatoes in season, but we erroneously thought it would come with both). The overall platter, though, had a lot of food and seemed worth the cost. I also had a small cookie sandwich — two choc chip mini cookies sandwiched with white buttercream. Sadly, I was more impressed with the idea than the execution; it struck us both as a mouthful of sugar without a lot of flavor(this was true for the cookies and the buttercream). I will note that the overall bakery selection contained a number of vegan and/or gluten free options, which was really nice to observe. A bakery that morphs into a Thai restaurant in the evening, that serves decent food, and appears to have some craft beer on tap — what more could you ask for in a college town?

Honestly traveling from out of town I was looking for cupcakes to take to my daughter. Google searched this bakery and called to see what specialty cupcakes they carried. I asked for 12 cupcakes after I arrived and was told I couldn’t be sold 12. After much ado and questions to the«baker» and my fellow customers rallying they did sell me 12 cupcakes with a stern warning to always call ahead if I wanted 12 or more. Seriously no problem I will not return to such a rude place. The cake was dry in the cupcakes not worth 40 plus dollars for 12.

Breakfast bagels are well worth the visit. Spectacular. And of course the coffee and pastries are great too. Can’t wait to come back to try the rice bowls.

You get what you pay for, and in Fluff/Rickshaw Thai’s case that means you’ll pay higher prices than many places in Athens, but everything is delicious. Some of the best pastries I’ve ever had, as well has some truly remarkable curries from Rickshaw. The staff is always very friendly and will answer any questions.

The environment is very calm and inviting. They have a great selection of salads sandwiches and sweet treats. I got the«mutha clucka» which was pretty good. The portion was large and filling. I loved the foccia bread they used on it and the chicken was delish. However I wasn’t a big fan of the hummus. I would reccomend this place to anyone.

This place makes a really good sandwich and a really solid salad, but DAMN it’s expensive. I’d go for the salad cause you get a lot more food. If you wanna do work here and need internet, sit by the window so you can pick up the Fedex Office’s signal from across the street because they don’t have it. I like the bakery if I wanna be in a sugar coma but sometimes you get something that’s a bit too old. The staff are pretty nice.

The people at Fluff are friendly and their sweets are absolutely delicious. When my wife and I were at Ohio University, this was her favorite place to get something sweet. I’m a diabetic, so I think they were trying to murder me. But it’s okay, I understand they’re just doing their job.

I like fluff for the slightly different fare then what most of court street has to offer. they have a very tasty curry that is only $ 8 for a generous plate. all of their desserts look delicious, but i haven’t had the pleasure yet.

Definitely one of my favorite eateries in Athens. I absolutely love the Cheese Ball and all the pastries! A few suggestions: 1) stay open later! You would get a lot more business from the college crowd if you were open when we are hungry! 2) I would make the to go salads a bit heartier. They are usually half the amount of greens as when I order in store. Thanks for all you do!

Stopped by here with my 10-year-old son for some hot cocoa/coffee on a cold, rainy day. The staff was super friendly and the prices about what you would expect from a place like this. They had huge cupcakes and some great looking donuts, but my son chose a vegan chocolate chip cookie, which was absolutely delicious! They seem to support local farmers/products, so A+ on that front! My latte was very good and my son would not stop raving about his hot cocoa, which he said was buried under a yummy thick amount of whipped cream. Can’t wait to go back and try some more of their delicious and low-dairy bakery options. And probably one of those HUGE cupcakes too!

Fluff. Fluff. Fluff. You know, it’s kind of hard to say without smiling. And it’s really hard to not love this little gem in a beautiful college town. On a weekend getaway, my wife and I ventured into Athens, Ohio and right before heading back to our cabin we decided to wait out the storm at fluff. While it was wet and gloomy outside, the décor inside(which includes whimsical cloud inspired murals) was warm and inviting. We both found the service to be quite warm, too, and helpful. We opted for a little coffee and split the delightfully named«Booty-Shaker» bar and an oatmeal fluff cookie«sammie.» I must say that everything was outstanding and it makes me wish that we lived a little closer so that we might enjoy these treats(and others) on a semi-regular basis. Many happy returns, Fluff. I agree with your slogan: «Life is fun. Eat it up.»

Fluff recently opened in the location formerly occupied by Cold Stone Creamery on Court St. They have a variety of baked goods including muffins, scones, croissants, cookies, cupcakes, truffles, cakes, cheesecakes and much more. In the morning for breakfast they serve bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on biscuits or bagels. I had the bacon, egg and cheese biscuits this morning and it was delicious, especially the biscuit which is made from scratch. They also have several to go options such as sandwiches and yogurt parfaits. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food didn’t take to long considering it was made fresh. The prices are a little more expensive than you might find at other places but it’s definitely worth the extra cost.
