Jimmy John’s

We visited Jimmy John’s today and I was looking forward to a delicious sub. I was very disappointed. The bun was bland and the meat was tasteless and what is up with this no salt thing they have going?

Charged me an extra $ 1 to put mayo on my wife’s sub. You all are seriously messed up if you think customers will come back after that.
Free smells… but mayo will cost you.

I went here for the first time today. I ordered the delicious-​sounding #6 (the vegetarian), fully expecting the sandwich to live up to the menu’s promises, especially as they related to supposed «chunks» of avocado. The food was up in about three-​five minutes. I spent the waiting time munching on salt & vinegar chips and filling my 20-​oz cup for some very refreshing Coca-​Cola products.
I got my sandwich to go and proceeded to walk a few blocks away so the beau and I could have lunch while he worked. The first bite was not promising: the bread wasn’t stale, exactly – it just tasted of nothingness. It was reminiscent of the bread quality you’d get in a pre-​prepared «deli» meal on a plane ride. Yes, that’s it: I felt as if I was eating an airport sandwich.
I munched onward, convinced I’d soon taste the aforementioned avocado chunks if I just got into the eating process a bit more. No such thing. Turns out the avocado was sort of a flavorless guacamole paste spread very thinly between the two slices of Provolone cheese. Yech. Hyper-​shredded, light green (iceberg?) lettuce was overabundant and not to my liking, but the cucumber was crispy and fresh.
Overall, it was just a mediocre sandwich – nothing to brag about.
The service was good and quick. The store itself is very clean and sharp – impressive. Lots of the cutesy signs would be more charming were this place not a mass-​marketed chain.

Solid Italian sandwiches within walking distance from campus. One sandwich is the perfectly-​sized meal, and sitting outside enjoying one is a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon

Fastest sandwich ever!!!
Also one of the best. The size of the sandwich was not gluttonous, not one flavor in the Italian was too overpowering, and I got it within seconds of ordering without having to coach an employee throught manufacturing it.
Great quick fix. Only advice to add some more exotic sandwiches if you want to call yourself «gourmet.»
