Sandwiches, wraps, and salads are all good. Vegetarian friendly. Get the curry up sauce.

Haven’t been to enough Mediterranean fast food places but this was a good start. I got the sandwich combo with beef and a side of fries and drink. Came out to be around 8 $ but the portion was huge. My friend got the bowl and he’s usually a hearty eater but didn’t even make it to his fries. I couldn’t even finish all of mine either. Maybe we weren’t as hungry as we thought. The quality was good but that curry sauce was amaaaaazzinggg. They have a cool Coke machine too. I look forward to coming back cause I’m sure I can make this last two meals! The struggle is so real.

I used to eat here when it was called Achim’s K-bob and Uncle Otto’s European Eatery. Whenever I think of food in Athens, I think of this place. I always make it a point to visit here whenever I’m in town. I wish Achim was still attached to the restaurant, though. During my recent visit, although the sandwiches, fries, and dipping sauces were good, they weren’t the same as I remember. Achim’s recipes for the dipping sauces seem to have remained consistent, but maybe restaurant has a different feel to it now. It’s more of a franchise rather than a «mom and pop» restaurant. ‘ll still go back every time I’m in town, but it certainly has changes since I left Athens more than 10 years ago.

I heard a lot of good things about this place(from vegetarians). I’m not vegetarian, so I got a beef wrap combo. Portions are very small. Prices are not great. The fries are overrated. Taste is okay. Even if I were vegetarian, I’d much prefer getting the sofritas burrito from Chipotle or the veggie burrito just across the shopping center at Barberitos.

I really love Keba. I usually get the small beef sandwich with feta sauce and feta with my fries. The curry sauce and keba sauce are also really good. It’s one of my favorite fast food(I guess it can be considered fast food?) restaurants in town. Pricing is reasonable and the service is good. My only complaint is that the one time I tried the gelato, it wasn’t very good and was kinda expensive. Other than that, I highly recommend!

This place is good and it takes you away from any«normal» good you may be used to. 4 stars — food quality 4 stars — atmosphere 4 stars — customer service The place is clean and comfortable. The good was good but a little on the«expected» side. I like the variety of sauce available. But to me that tells me the food lacks flavor by itself. HEADSUP — Have lots of napkins available. I had one and, try as I may, it was just not enough. Ha ha.

OK so I’m giving this place a second chance because everyone keeps telling me how amazing the did is… My last visit was a terrible disappoint. The chicken and beef were so dry I thought it was suppose to be jerky because every price was the same dry stuff on top of at least two servings of iceberg lettuce. I’ll let you know how this visit goes…

AVOIDTHISPLACE. I have been eating here for a long time and I loved it so much I was eating there almost once a week and so was my boyfriend. Then the locos franchise bought out keba. Ever since it has rapidly been going downhill. My bread for my sandwich has been burnt to a crisp a few times and I usually get home before I realize it. I stopped eating here for approx 2 months because the quality had dropped so much. I gave in one day and got a good meal and decided to go back. This time I got mostly cold fries, chicken that was a mix of cold and warm and finally to top it all off my feta sauce had soured and gone bad. This time I will never go back especially after I checked their food scores and realized that back in July they had a score of 76 and had to have a follow up. However, if you have poor management and staff that can keep cleanliness and proper food handling so bad to earn that score chances are it will go back and by my cold and soured food served to me today I think they deserve the lower score again.

The food is good, expensive for what is though and packed with calories.

I wanted to have a Turkish donner kebab and I ordered a chicken bowl. The meat was burnt and the the sauce which was supposed to be hot and garlicky had neither tastes. So disappointed, wouldn’t recommend it.

The BEST sandwich I have ever had! It is in its own league! I ordered the chicken keba sandwich with extra keba sauce and zesty BBQ sauce. Everyone should try this indescribably delicious sandwich that you can customize yourself! It is AMAZING!!!

I’ve been a «Keba» customer since it was Achim’s on Broad not too long after it moved from Lumpkin. I really, really enjoyed the Broad st location and I wish it was still there. I can remember going to Stammtisch there with my German professor and having a beer or two with a great sandwich. They honestly have the best tasting reuben I have had in my entire life. Now every reuben I’ve had since is mediocre in comparison. That alone makes it worthwhile for me to stop in to their location every time I am in Athens. The doener sandwich is an import from Germany in this case which was a result of Turkish immigration to Germany several decades ago. Achim modified his sandwiches a bit and they have unfortunately gotten smaller and smaller and more and more expensive over the years. His Belgian fries are nice, but not indicative of German style in this case. Either way it is a nice touch. I like to eat them with the feta dip and I also douse them in green Tabasco sauce. It’s an amazing combination. Either way this is one restaurant you don’t want to miss! The location on Barnett Shoals is nice enough. It is located next to a Publix in a shopping center with a fairly accessible parking lot. It isn’t too far from campus, but, unfortunately, it is no longer within walking distance and I love to visit the campus and go downtown. The restaurant layout here is about equal to the one on the West side of Athens just inside Oconee county near the Trader Joe’s. I like both of them. There is pretty decent seating and a view outside(although there really isn’t much to look at).

Ten times better than Chipotle. Went with the bowl and was blown out of my mind! The über was amazing after a workout! Light, but still packed with flavorful protein. Asked for the hottest sauce and opted for the spicy chipotle, and would truly eat this a few times a week if they had it anywhere near North Carolina!

«You had me at ‘meat tornado.’ « I’ve been dining on these delicious pockets of heavenly goodness for as long as I’ve lived in Athens. Starting as Achim’s K-Bobs, then changing the name to Uncle Otto’s, and finally sticking with the perfect KEBA Spitfire Grill, I can assure you that the name is the only thing that has changed over the past 10 years. I’ve never had a bad experience at a KEBA shop. I’ve tried every combination of every size of everything they have to offer, and it has all been delicious. But nowadays, I always go with my old favorite, the Large Beef Combo, all the veggies, with Creamy Feta on the sandwich and Zesty BBQ for my fries. It’s just too perfect. They are a little pricey, but as someone else noted, you can always find a $ 1-$ 2 off coupon in any number of booklets you find around town. With 5 proteins and almost a dozen sauces to choose from, the variety will keep you coming back for a very long time. And once you find that magical favorite combination, you may just never want to eat anywhere else ever again.

Really good. I think it’s a bit more pricy then it should probably be, but they always have 1 dollar off coupons you can get.
Sandwiches are not bad, not amazing. The best thing are, yes, their fries with a plethora of dipping sauce which they let you sample if there’s not a huge line behind you. (hint: don’t ask them to charge you for an extra upfront, ask the person making your meal at the end later, they’ll usually just give you one if you’re nice) They are NOT gluten-free friendly – if you are celiac don’t eat their fries, they’re fried in the same vat as the felafel which contains wheat, as do the pork and beef. Chicken is ok and you can get it in a bowl as opposed to a sandwich or wrap. Service is spotty, but then again, have you ever worked in the food service industry?

This place is good, but they really need to chill on the sauce. My sandwich was dripping with it. Flavoring was alright — I got the«curry up» which had a hint of curry to it. Maybe I need to try something else, because my sandwich creation just wasn’t hitting the spot for me(I got the mixed meat, curry up sauce, with all veggies). They said they put all veggies in it but I didn’t even see any tomatoes or cucumbers. Sad. Maybe I’ll give it another try, but it’s not likely.
