Sleep Inn & Suites

I reserved a wedding block and had a contract with Sleep Inn. I signed the contract, emailed it, and called to confirm that they had received it. They released my rooms on the block 4 ½ earlier than what the contract had stated, and I was not warned or informed about the release. Since the hotel had released all the rooms to the public early, the hotel was completely booked (2 rooms overbooked to be exact). Most of my out of town guest hadn’t booked their rooms, so now I am dealing with the headache of finding rooms, recontacting all of my out of town guest, and assigning them to hotel rooms I have found. Now all of my guest are scattered throughout the city. I filed a complaint with corporate, but I have not heard from corporate or the owner of the hotel, even though they assured me that I would hear from someone. Because of the hotel’s mistake, I have a stressful issue to deal with the month of my wedding. I was not compensated or helped by the hotel for their mistake. I was very disappointed in the way the issue was handled and the lack of importance it was to them.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in September. We were traveling with our 17 lb Shih Tzu, Grover. We were nervous that it might be loud because there was a UGA game that weekend. Our dog is a little jumpy and we didn’t want him to be scared by loud partying football fans. We barely heard a single other guest the whole weekend. Very peaceful and cute décor in the rooms. So clean in fact, that our dog couldn’t find anything to sniff :) The girls at the front desk smiled and said hi to Grover as we came and went. Very friendly staff, pet friendly, clean and quiet. Great bang for your buck. We also got a nice big empty fridge with a tiny freezer compartment that was very helpful as we filled it up with tasty leftovers to take back to Chicago. Will go back next time we are in Athens

I have traveled a lot for work and stayed in a lot of hotels all around the country, so I have a base line for what is normal. Let me start with the good. The rooms are nice (a little smaller then normal) but nice tv, nice beds, and clean. The breakfast is good sausage, eggs and, biscuits and gravy. The two things I did not like is the internet is real slow. I like to watch Netflix and the internet couldn’t handle it. But the reason I gave it such a low score is this. My company books and pays for the hotels be for I even get there, when I checked in they asked for a card for incidental damages. This is normal. Normally it is $ 20, $ 60, or $ 100 and, comes off after a couple of days after you check out. Not this hotel, they put a $ 329.02 hold on my card. When I called the front desk all they said is it will come off 2 – 3 days after I check out. So if your ok with the large hold put on your account then this hotel is a nice choice but for me I told my company not to book this hotel again.

I’m hesitant to write this as I don’t want this place all booked up should I decide to come back for Petit Lemans but this place deserves it. The first night we stayed at a Hotel 6 closer to Road Atlanta, one flea infested night there had us getting a refund and noping right out of there. Being such a big week and it being the day of… Hotels all over were BOOKED, luckily this one was not. Comfy as can be Posturepedic beds, extremely friendly staff, biscuits and gravy at the continental breakfast, all for about $ 100 a night and that’s day of pricing. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Only 45 minutes from Road Atlanta too!

This was a last minute decision as we where just passing through Athens.
The customer service was great and personable. The room was clean and bed was super comfortable. I slept well which is a rarity for me in a hotel.
The work out room and pool where small but sufficient and cleanly. To top it all off the complimentary breakfast went above what I expected with a variety of items. The price was right and I slept like a champ.
