Okay so 30 Tables is now Glenn’s Kitchen and the location is the same in the bottom of the Glenn Hotel. I went with my buddy Mike for Atlanta Restaurant week. Okay so overall the food was pretty good. I had the crabcake which was exceptionally tiny for a crabcake as well as the surf and turf and the pecan pie. The surf and turf wasn’t bad. It certainly isn’t a meal that I will be dreaming about but I would go back. The pecan pie was good, not exceptional and it would have been better warm. The service was SLOW. Our waiter was so nice but he was trying to wait on all 30 tables ALONE. That made no sense to me. So things were extremely slow. He took it in good stride but seriously they need to up their wait staff. Overall not bad, not bad at all.

We had 10 of us there for dinner after a long day at a conference. Nice décor… looking forward to a nice meal. The menu is a bit sparse but we went on. And on. And on. And on. The service was horrible. It seemed like everyone in there was brand new… really trying, but just couldn’t pull it off. Brought one basket of bread(maybe 8 pieces) for 10 of us. Arm wrestling ensued. Did they bring olive oil or butter? Not tll we asked. Last time I checked, red wine is usually served at a nice, moderate temperature, of course. We didn’t realize that the moderate temperature of the celler in 30 Tables was about 80… the wine was actually warm! You could feel it on the bottle even before it went to our lips. The only reason I’m giving them more than one star is that the food, once we actually received it, was pretty tasty. I had a very nice pork tenderloin with pickled cabbage and grits… a really nice combination of flavors. We just didn’t expect to be there for 3 hours! Maybe they can only handle 20 Tables

We 3 out-of-towners had a wonderful meal at 30 Tables. The menu is short, but made 2 meat eaters and 1 vegetarian very happy. Between us we had(and loved) sweet potato fries w/smoked ketchup, mushroom/fontina flatbread, meatloaf, rigatoni, and braised short ribs plus a nice bottle of Spanish Garnacha. I would definitely go back.

I was not starving when we stopped in here for dinner, so I didn’t gorge myself, but I did taste a few things. First, we sampled the spring rolls as our appetizer. Tasty, but hotter than lava. I should have let those cool down a little first. Next, I had the tomato bisque. It was good with just the right amount of creaminess and pepper to keep it interesting. For the entrée, I had a burger. Very average. Just a little too dry, too tasteless and too dull to rate any higher. If the prices were a little more in perspective, I could see potential here, but as it is right now, it’s just like the rating says… A-OK.

I used to walk by this place several times a week when I worked downtown and never ended up going in, but ended up finally getting in to give it a try last Friday. The dining room was full with a big party(I mean really big; once they left we were nearly alone), but the dining room is comfortable and pleasant. I was very pleased with the service. Our server was very welcoming and was on top of all of our needs. The appetizers were very tasty. We went with the tuna tartare and the pork belly spring rolls. The presentation on both was really nice. The tartare came with a quail egg on top in the half shell and the velvety goodness of the egg mixed well with the kick in the tuna. It comes with some fresh wontons which work as a vehicle to the mouth, but are a little pedestrian. The pork belly spring rolls were something I was very excited about being a person that feels pork belly has a place on any plate. They were very tasty, but could have been a bit more innovative and could have contained a bit more pork. It’s not often you have a dish that features pork belly that doesn’t have big pork flavor, but this was not so much a feature as a piece of the flavor puzzle. It was like seeing a movie with an ensemble cast that includes Pacino. You’re glad he’s in the film, but a little confused that he’s not the lead. The entrée was definitely the standout in this meal. I had the diver scallop & shrimp dish which was made with a green curry and coconut milk broth and included some sugar snap peas, slivers of onion and roasted potatoes. This was delicious. Like, I could have eaten a bowl the size of my head delicious. The seafood was tasty and perfectly cooked. The green curry was what attracted me to this dish and it did not disappoint. Curry can be a tough thing for chefs to master sometimes as far as the heat level, but this was right on point. Hot enough to make you think twice about a large bite, but not scary hot. All in all it was a great meal and a very comfortable experience overall. Even the location wasn’t a big deal. The valet was easily accessible and didn’t take long getting in or out, even with the Hawks game letting out about the time we left. Next time I’ll be heading up to 11 Stories as well.

Food is just okay and I would never choose to eat here. I’ve only eaten here a couple of times for lunch though. They can’t even get a salad right. I had the steak salad and it was not very tasty and the steak was ridiculously tough and I even had trouble cutting it with a knife. It was very embarrassing because I was there on a business lunch and I had to keep chewing and chewing and it was just awkward. Then I had the special, french dip sandwich. Again, it was just okay, just not really good. I derived no pleasure from eating the food. Service was pretty good, staff was friendly.

This is a great location if you are heading to Philips Arena for an event because you can park at the hotel, eat here and then walk across the street to go to the game. It’s very simple. The food is a bit pricey and probably not as good as it should be for the price. We had the diver scallops and shrimp, which were in a curry broth with fingerling potatoes and sugar snap peas. This was definitely the better of our two entrees. It had a nice curry flavor, albeit a very mild one. The shrimp seemed a bit overcooked but the scallops were good and it was an overall pleasing dish. We also had the grouper, which was sautéed in a ginger miso broth with bok choy and rice noodles. Overall, this was very bland. There was a large portion of grouper and it seemed very fresh but there was just not a lot of flavor in this dish. Everything we had was good but just not great. Our server was really good. She gave lots of information about the dishes, was very friendly, brought us our food and drinks quickly, and very nicely pre-split our salad for us onto two plates. The salad, by the way, was very good — it was the house salad with white balsamic vinaigrette dressing and goat cheese. I don’t know if I would come here again to eat given the price and what we got for it but I would definitely return to the lobby bar for drinks before a game.

Portions were surprisingly hefty. Spent dinner with an associate and we worked out way through tuna tartar, frissee, a couple entrees. DInner traffic was light, though we started around 6:30. The view from the roof top bar is pretty amazing, well worth the stop. Martinis were cool, the mojitos were lively and the bedroom was within a comforting few floors. Without the associate.

Sooo this is probably one of the BEST places to eat lunch if you are working in the area. I have had quite a few things off the lunch menu here, and although not all were 5 stars… the items that are STELLAR make up for it! Skip the fried chicken sandwich on texas toast, and opt for the Grilled Portobello instead… TRUSTME! I’m a meat eater, love/need my protein… but I’ve had this sandwich about 4 times and I kinda need it to get worse. I’m addicted to it! Then there’s the spring/house salad with the house dressing… HEAVEN. The tomato soup… DELISH, skip the Asian dumpling… bland. Chicken salad truffle sandwich… ehhhh. The prices are reasonable for a plated gourmet lunch… yes gourmet. At $ 10 you really can’t beat it. I’ll probably see you there!

Inhabiting the bottom floor of The Glenn Hotel, 30 Tables is stylish and warm inviting you to an entire building of class from the décor to the food. The cuisine is American and simple. All the flavors are right there to be had by anyone but the Chef behind the food has discovered how to take those and combine to turn simple into extraordinary. With simplicity being the mantra Concentrics has successfully created another restaurant that stretches the usual forms and brings you décor, food, and style to a new level. I just wanted to sit and inhabit the space all night. With the prices a little on the heavy side I would save another night here for something special. Although I could see stopping in to have another run at the meatballs! Heavenly! After the meal head upstairs and get drinks at 11 Stories. You can check out the fresh herb garden growing on the rooftop for the restaurant down below.

The food here is quite good, although on the pricey side. Stayed at the hotel this restaurant is located in, so have had a few meals from them. The grits are rich, creamy and cheesy. Probably not incredibly traditional, but surely indulgent. On the healthier side of things, the side of asparagus is good too. For my main, had the short ribs, which were tender and flavorful. The pickled onions on top were a nice touch. On a separate visit, I had the pork belly spring rolls — I always thought spring rolls weren’t fried and egg rolls are, but I might be wrong. These were definitely fried — and just too greasy, pretty much a mouthful of grease. The flavor besides that was pretty good though. For breakfast, had their breakfast sandwich, which was very flavorful, but again a bit too much on the greasy side for me… All in all — some great flavors and a nice ambiance.

Excellent restaurant featuring food prepared with very carefully chosen ingredients. I had a trout that was the best I have ever had. The specials come with many choices for side dishes. I had the grits prepared with cheese and truffle oil. The pork chop and beef dishes were quite large portions. Enjoyable waitress and good beer made it a nice spot for our group of 5. Great way to end the day after being in an all-day meeting. Restaurant was not very crowded and so it was possible to have good conversation in a relaxing setting. This restaurant is 4 or 5 stars in my opinion.
