Ugh, so delicious. Had the breakfast lasagna and blueberry French toast. Both cooked to perfection.

Popped in today for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and laid-back atmosphere. We were looking for place that served weekday brunch and I’m so glad that we ended up here. I love the warm, homey feeling that you get when you walk into the restaurant. Today I had the chicken and chorizo quiche. It was delicious. The flavors were there and it was perfectly cooked. I love that it was a slightly more dense quiche that I normally encounter. It was served with breakfast potatoes, 2 slices of toast, green salad, melon slice, and orange wedge. It was a beautiful plate with generous portions. I tasted the crunchy omelet, which also came with 2 toast slices, breakfast potatoes, melon and orange. It was also very tasty. We learned that the crunchy omelet dish has won an award with Jezebel magazine. The menu offers lots of tasty selections. I saw a few dishes that i want to try on my next visit like the Chicken and Brie panini. I was super interested in trying their mimosas and special elixir bellinis, but those were really only available on the weekends and not during weekdays. Bummer! But I shall return. Complimentary 2 hour parking in the parking lot adjacent to the restaurant.

In the heart of the gayberhood and it isn’t a hidden secret. The food is great. The service is friendly and prompt and the food is great with size able portions. I come to Atlanta for work most times and end up in downtown hotels. It is easy to get to in a quick über. Worth the trip.

I’ve seen Babs in the same plaza as Takorea for ages, but have never had the chance to try it. This small shop serves some highly hyped brunch, so I was excited for the chance to try it. We made a reservation for 8 people on a Saturday late morning after our 5K race and decided to walk to the restaurant from there. We were running about 15 minutes late for our reservation after our exhausting 5K that morning and then our ambitious 5K walk to the restaurant. However, the restaurant held our table for us. Two people in our party didn’t run the 5K with us and were running late, and the manager(?) was super rude in asking us when the other two people were going to show up. Every 15 minutes, he would come back and ask us for an update, which was super stressful and uncomfortable. After our meal, he apologized profusely if he was rude, which I tried to be understanding about, but it definitely affected the vibe at our table and our attitude toward the meal. The server touted the coffee to be some of Atlanta’s best, so we had some high hopes. One mug had a cute lipstick stain on it, so we sent it back. The coffee was not Atlanta’s best. But it hit the spot since I was in desperate need of caffeine. Our server was pretty slow in his movements and service but he was definitely very genuine and helpful in his every step and word. He was very thorough in his explanation of the specials, although I ended up ordering something off the menu. The food took a minute to get to us, but finally emerged from the kitchen right before our rioting began. My «Delicious» risotto came out as promised — piping hot and beautifully delicious. The seasonal risotto was made with a squash I cannot remember for the life of me, but was described to be very similar to butternut squash. I don’t know if it was because I was starving, but this stuff was amazing. My bad mood caused by the super stressed manager immediately melted away with each bite of creamy risotto. I’m pretty sure every single person at the table was satisfied with the food. However, the rushing from the manager made us pretty anxious and uncomfortable. We’ll have to try to come with a smaller group at a less busy time if I ever dare to give Babs another try. I struggled with the 3 or 4 star threshold — what pushed it over was the quality of food, even though the atmosphere left a little to be desired.

Wow this place is incredible! I had heard good things about this restaurant but after visiting this restaurant I think my expectations were actually exceeded! I went to Babs on a Thursday morning for brunch around 10 am. Since I visited on an off hour during the week there was no wait and there were few people in the restaurant. I immediately was seated and had my order taken. The food came withing 10 minutes and was very freshly made. All the ingredients were extremely fresh as well. I ordered the spinach, portabella mushroom, and cheese omelet that was served with a slice of toast, potatoes, and fruit. When the food came out I could not believe the portion sizes! .incredible. The omelet was nicely stuffed with each of the 3 ingredients and the portabella mushrooms were thickly sliced and way better than your average mushroom. Never did I think a mushroom could make an omelet so good. The cheese was some sort of goat cheese that was so incredible. The toast was a thin slice of sourdough bread that was nicely toasted to perfection. The fruit was a few slices of oranges, grapefruit, and cantaloupe. Each of the fruits were so juicy and delicious. Potatoes were not just any potatoes but nicely roasted with perfect seasonings and topped with fine parmesan cheese. The prices were really good I felt for the amount of food you get. Only $ 8.25 for all of that food! This is probably the best brunch I have had in Atlanta and I’ve been to some pretty good brunch spots. It’s a little hard to find from the road but your GPS should take you right to it. The entrance is on the side of the building which looks much like a house. Don’t miss out on this place, and try it immediately!

Really confused why this place has such great reviews, the men waiting/working the register are extremely rude, do not care about being courteous I was craving a Bloody Mary, they don’t have those, just a «sake Mary» which is sake instead of vodka in a Bloody Mary. They also won’t do poached eggs, they don’t have grits, their menu is, I don’t even know what it is. I ordered something that came with plain eggs bacon and a salad inside of potatoes(the salad ended up just being a handful of arugula-nothing else) I left starving a broke. I think I dished out around 40 $ for one mimosa(that had ice in it? Who does that) and my eggs and bacon and arugula. What. The. Hell.

Now this is 4 stars for a particular crowd. It’s not a fancy brunch place with many options. It’s more of a old trendy place with many versions of the same thing — omelets. Keeping that in mind, food was great. Drinks were okay. Service was a bit off but understandably so — too many people got sat at the same time. Dessert was NOT good. As long as you’re not expecting a fancy brunch place but you like fancy omelets, you’ll be happy. Craig staff.

Tiny little brunch restaurant amongst other cute brunch restaurants. The service was excellent and the employees treat you like old time regular customers. For crowds of 4 or more, they prefer a reservation but even when time and space is tight, they still make room for you, because you’re a regular, right? Again, the employees were fantastic, talkative, and treated us like good friends. It also helped that everything we ordered was brought out quickly and tasted like gluttony. My friends and I were here for Valentine’s Day brunch so they had a special menu. I ordered the smoked salmon omelette with Hollandaise sauce. It was divine. The sauce is glazed on top and tucked inside so as you ate through your omelette, the sauce would bleed out onto the plate. I must have finished the entire dish in about 15 minutes or less. The interior felt like you walked into an old lady’s souvenir shop in Florida. Every furniture and decorative item looked like it came from somewhere else and collectively ended up like a giant collection of memories. I absolutely enjoyed this experience, and this just adds on to the list of many wonderful brunch places I’ve been to in Atlanta.

I want to give this one star, but the fact that they try to do something different(no matter how poorly executed) is worth something. I’m not sure what it is they are attempting to accomplish. But, here we go: the menu is average at best, the quality is less than McDonalds, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes are covered in some cheese(no mention of that on the menu), fruit was good. There were several abandoned tables which had yet to be bussed. There’s a sign on the door saying the establishment is available for private events: if someone invites you to an event held here — you must go out of sheer sympathy as they’ve clearly run out of options. There are some clear signs that this is an institution within the community and there’s something to be said for that and admired. The snow globes are beautiful and a nice touch. I’m sure there’s a million other treasures waiting to be discovered inside.

My wife and I won the ticket lottery at the Fox(see more about this in my Fox Theatre review) for the Book of Mormon matinée show. Because the lottery requires you to be there 2.5hrs before the show, there was a lot of time to spare after the win – perfect excuse for brunch! Since we’d already paid to park, we decided to find a restaurant within walking distance. To be honest, we’ve seen many shows at the Fox and have therefore eaten at lots of places surrounding it but I haven’t really been blown away with any of them. We found BABS and decided to try it. It was a very easy, ten minute walk from the Fox. Even though it was Saturday, the place didn’t seem to be crowded. We met with one of the owners who was really friendly and funny and he sat us in a side waiting area for about five minutes until a table was ready. While seated I took the opportunity to observe the restaurant’s décor. BABS is really small and homey; like you’re eating at an eccentric uncle’s house. And when I say, «eccentric», I really mean it. It’s decorated with little trinkets, pictures of drag queens, a snow globe collection and a pair of… *ahem* …interestinggg salt and pepper shakers that you just have to see in person. HA! According to a few Unilocalers, BABS frequently has themed brunches. The theme while we were there was«International Brunch… No Passport Required» featuring breakfasts from around the world. There was an Israeli omelet, a Greek omelet, an Italian omelet, a morroccan inspired dish and so on and so forth. Also on the menu were some regulars like the Juniper street classic which is basically eggs, a choice of meat and toast. I went for one of their specials of the day which was a sauteed spinach and chickpea dish with over medium eggs on top and bread – one piece on the side and one on the bottom of the meal. I ordered this meal on recommendation from one of the owners who was also our server. He said it was delicious and he was right! It was a mighty tasty breakfast indeed and very filling. The only critique I have of the dish was the bread they served with it. I wish it was regular toast or perhaps pita bread. Also, it was a mistake to place one slice underneath the spinach and chick peas, it got way too soggy. However, the potatoes served alongside the meal were wonderful! Perfectly cooked! They also serve a handful of dessert options like cakes and cookies. We enjoyed a couple slices of butter cake with chocolate chips that were pretty tasty! Babs is a very quirky but neat little brunch place. The food is yummy, the service is great and they make you feel very much at home.

My girlfriend and I loved Babs. It has a small, eclectic coffee shop vibe, and everyone was welcoming. The food came out incredibly fast, and was excellent. We had the breakfast lasagna, which was made with butternut squash, and came with greens, fresh fruit, toast and big chunks of roasted potatoes with Parmesan and herbs on them. We also had an omelette with crab meat and avocado that was phenomenal. The specials were unique, and the servers were very helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

I’m ashamed. Truly, legitimately, ashamed. I should have never claimed living in Midtown or Poncey-Highlands for so many years without the experience of Babs under my belt. The story goes: I(the bride to be, on a very strict diet leading up the the days preceding our wedding) run upstairs to the lovely alterations joint upstairs to undergo my final fitting in my wedding dress, while my darling husband to be is subjected to wandering around Juniper, not knowing how long I’d be or what he should get himself into. I leave said alterations joint and text him, assuming he had opted for an 11am cocktail at the Takorea next door. The text I receive is, «I made a huge mistake. But I regret nothing.» Call me on crazy, but I assumed this was wedding related.(Give me a break, I was a hungry bride on the edge.) I finally discover my almost-husband nestled into a booth with his iPad and DEMOLISHED a breakfast dish of the day. All I know is that it involved a lot of cheese and carbs, and there MAY have been some spinach for color. The thing is, my darling man is a slender dude. Words like«scarfing» or «annihilated» when it comes to eating aren’t in his vernacular. Dumbfounded, I had to order something too, but this bride to be on a calorie budget opted for an egg white omelette, which was DIVINE. I nestled up next to him with a coffee in hand. This was around the upcoming holiday season, too, so our server, who may also have been the manager of sorts was flurrying around making homemade krispie treats shaped like christmas trees and whatnot. It was adorable and apparently something they do every year. Let’s get down to the décor. Between the musical theatre posters, feathers and birdcages, there is a large collection of snow globes sitting on the mantel. Look closely, ignoring the dust, and you’ll find one collected from nearly every exotic country, while you also may notice some phallic symbols tucked into an eclectic collection Ariel, The Little Mermaid would covet. Its a small, neighborhood feel. The maximum seating is on the low side, which I loved. I regret not being an Atlantan any longer — otherwise I’d be there ALLTHE time. I suppose its fort he better — my waistline may be grateful.

Was looking for a place to eat for brunch close to our hotel, based on the good reviews we decided to try Babs out. Everything was great, from the service to the actual meal. The crunch omelet was what I ordered, it came with potatoes and fruit. They call it the crunch because it includes tater tots but also has cheddar cheese, diced ham and tomatoes. The food was very good and wasn’t too greasy as breakfast food can be at some restaurants. Very impressed with everything and I would definitely recommend this place!

Really great food. Really good service. Nice simple atmosphere. Biggest downfall is the size of the location and that the specials are verbally made. There are literally 6 – 7 special menu options. I wish they wrote them down or had a secondary menu made with the specials on it. It was just too much info to take in to make a legitimate choice. Even though there are a lot of options have no fear because all of them are great. Enjoy the service atmosphere and food.

I just can’t say enough about this place! The food is stellar and the service is stellar! If you haven’t been here yet, just go! We had the crabmeat omelet with smoked salmon, fresh fruit, bagel omelet, turkey sausage, for $ 35!

Loved this place. We walked from our hotel(Renaissance Midtown) and we are so glad we did. It’s a cute little place in a cute little neighborhood with seriously delicious food. I had a grouper cake with eggs over easy and a side of arugula with lime vinaigrette. Oh my god. So good. My partner had a crunch omelet, which was equally delicious. Best breakfast potatoes ever, and both entrees were served with delicious fresh fruit. Also, my blood Orange mimosa was delightful and very large. The service was so good. Randy, the owner and chef, took great care of us and was super friendly. His staff was excellent and efficient, and we liked eavesdropping on their playful banter. I wish we lived here so we could come in every weekend. Thanks for a fabulous experience, even when we were super hungover.

I really like this place. It’s a good down home, well priced, brunch or breakfast place. The food is pretty good and portion sizes are large. The service is very friendly; with the décor and service, you almost feel like you’re in someone’s home. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because the food doesn’t quite knock it out of the park with flavor. However, I would definitely recommend it to anyone look for a good affordable breakfast in the area! There is a complimentary parking lot for those visiting Babs. It says there’s a fee, but if you read closely, below it is says it’s complimentary 2 hour parking for those visiting that bank of restaurants. Babs shares a parking lot with Takorea.

We stumbled into Babs one Saturday morning. My boyfriend was tired of trying to find parking and just parked at the first location he could find and told me find the closest food place(he was getting«hangry»). Boy, were we lucky! This place was a great find. It’s a small café/brunch place with outdoor seating. You would miss it in a blink of eye while driving. There is parking lot right next to it so you can park for free. Ignore the sign that said you have to pay. Patrons of Babs do not.(Good to know for next time). They have a set menu, but another menu that changes daily. Order from the menu that changes daily. I had a pimento cheese with Andouille sausage hash with 2 over easy eggs on top with a creole sauce. Absolutely delicious! It came with a side of arugula salad in a lemon vinaigrette, 2 whole grain toast, and fruit, a very balance meal. You can taste the freshness of the food. Everything was made in house and you can see the care they took to come up with each dish. My boyfriend had a Moroccan Stew with 2 over easy eggs on top. The second it came out, you can smell the aroma. I tried it and it was so succulent! The stew was cooked for several hours with an array of spices. It came with naan and fruit, again a balance meal. The wait staff might be a little confused(2 wait staff asked for our order without know the other asked already), but it cause they were super busy and wanted to make sure we are taken care of. They were attentive and made sure we had everything(double check I guess since it was 2 wait staffs). One of the waiters, I think, was the manger/owner. He describe in great detail of each special and what it took to make it(hinting he helped). They do serve bloody marys and mimosas. We did not partake, but next time!

First, there is parking. Nice. Second, my sweet tea came with a «back up»(pictured). Love it. Everything else: the omelette was fine and the rest of the food was fine. Nothing blew my mind. It was kinda weird in there. Lots of weird nick naks and dust on the shades.
