Went with a group of friends last night. I ordered the crispy flounder with chard. Very good. Decent portion. Some friends ordered the burger and it looked delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food but it is very small so be mindful when going with a group. Vanilla cake and its frosting were outstanding.

Stellar pancakes. In the same genre of Aretha Frankenstein’s of Chattanooga. Huge portion… food for a whole day to be sure. Place is small inside… so if outdoor isn’t your thing… be prepared to wait. Nice vibe with chic décor a la Paris. Will return to try some other items. Frites were on point. Tomato soup is an extra small portion… so be aware if you are craving… because you’ll need a double dose.

Went for brunch with three others today. Really liked it. Easy to get a table, delicious drinks, adorable and relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff. Giving this 4 instead of 5 stars because of the portion sizes. We started with three of their delicious pastries and each ordered a brunch entrée. The meal was very delicious — scrambled eggs and smoked trout was my favorite — and plated very well, but I left feeling a bit hungry. Would definitely go back, but would make sure I’m not starving when I come in.

What a charming spot! From the moment I walked in, I could tell that Bread & Butterfly was special. The atmosphere is distinctly French and fancy without overdoing it(looking at you, Café Intermezzo). I genuinely felt like I was back in Paris for study abroad. Here’s a breakdown: Excellent service — knowledgable and polite but not overbearing. Expansive wine list. Delicious, beautifully plated food. The dinner menu is a bit limited but diverse enough that anyone can find something they would like. Impressive coffee selection(you can tell they use a top notch espresso machine and must have a great barista, because my cappuccino was fantastic, right down to the lump of brown sugar on the side). I tried Bread & Butterfly for dinner; however, I suspect their strongest showing will be for breakfast and lunch. Just like a true Parisian café. This is a truly wonderful addition to Inman Park, and to ATL in general. I only hope it doesn’t get overshadowed by all of the other new restaurants in Inman Quarter. Please give this place a try, you won’t be sorry!

Delicious and adorable new spot in Inman Park. The food was really good, service left something to be desired. Hopefully they figure it out with time.

I am suprised to read any negative review of this place. Not only is the food top notch, so is the service. I have visited 3 times since it opened and each time I enjoyed my food and experience. Every dish I ordered was prepared perfectly. There was definitely a lot of thought and consideration involved in every aspect of the restaurant and menu. Others talked of the price, however, I believe in quality over quantity and Bread and Butterfly delivers on that! This space is great for a date night, drinks with friends, a business meeting, or even a simple lone bite to eat. Every dish/drink I consumed felt as if it was made with care. We are lucky to have such a great intimate new restaurant in the neighborhood!

I really wanted to like this place and based on reviews I felt I would. I went for lunch the décor is very nice. Service I agree on all other reviews slow but I was not in a big hurry. My complaint is the pricing I feel it’s very overpriced for lunch not sure about breakfast . Lunch entrees all between $ 11 – 15 and for portion size price seemed even heftier. A bowl of soup $ 10 ugh. I got the burger and fries $ 15. The burger was ok not the best in the city and again hefty price for small burger, and they never asked you how you would like it cooked mine medium rare but that’s how I like my burgers a lot of people would have sent it back. My other complaint was the wine pricing for a glass $ 10 and up and most not at the $ 10 price You can get a good glass of wine in many places for $ 7 – 9 If you go I would just go for coffee and not the food it’s a waste of money

My wife and I had a lovely 4PM «light dinner» with a 3-salad platter and a bowl of tomato soup with puff pastry. The portions aren’t huge, but I guess they’re French in that way. Prices seem reasonable — not cheap, but not outlandish. Everything we had was delicious. Their pastries are especially good, since they come from Proof over on the other side of Inman Park, near the MARTA station(if you haven’t been, GO). The puff pastry on the tomato soup(it’s baked right on there) was transcendental, and the buckwheat chocolate chip muffin is probably my favorite baked good in the world right now. So whatever you order, try to also avail yourself of a baked good of some kind. The place wasn’t crowded, and they were cool with us having a tiny baby with us. As other reviewers have noted, service happens at a calm, European pace, but we found it to be attentive and friendly. Really glad to have them in the neighborhood. When it’s spring again and they can open up their Parisian patio, it’ll be a great spot for people watching.

This is just about the cutest café there ever was. If it weren’t for all the people speaking English and dressed like sh*% I would think I was in Paris. The food(I had avocado toast with a perfectly poached egg) was simple, but perfectly executed, well presented, and delicious. The cappuccino was also wonderful. Although I did not partake, the cocktail and wine list looks great. The prices are on the high side, but so is the quality as well as the charm. You get what you pay for. The only thing that disappointed me was some certain things I was fairly sure would be on the menu, and weren’t. No quiche? No croque Monsieur? So disappointed by that. Regardless, I will be back, I just hope next time I can do so with a decent quiche Lorraine.

Love love love this new addition to my neighborhood! It is a perfect addition to Inman Park with a nice corner location that takes you to a little corner in France with the green tile and chairs and furnishing. They did such a great job matching the décor so you get the feel of the place before asking or looking at menu. Do not forget to look carefully at wallpaper in bathroom. that was my fav! Ok so beyond the great atmosphere is the great coffee and food! The barista made a great cappuccino for me and they use counter culture coffee. so worth stopping in even for just a coffee to go on your walk! You might be enticed to stop for one of the pretty but delicious pastries displayed. They have several different menus and we happened upon the brunch! Everyone’s dishes looked great in the tables around us. We ended with a three bean salad and the burger. We opted for no bun on our burger and got the flavor of the onions and Swiss melted on a great burger with true homemade mayo. delicious!!! So glad to have them in the neighborhood! Cozy and easy. finally the massive places opening can make it harder to just drop in!

Good for a coffee, cappuccino or drink but nothing more than that … The place is cute and very small so best for no more than four in a party. I was very disappointed at the slow, slow, slow very sad looking waiter as he forgot to bring cream and sugar for the coffee we had already got over five minutes ago. Come On man if you know you have an order of coffee coming why not just give the cream and sugar while the coffee is on the way??? Anyway … Also the order of Fromage only came with two small slices of French bread so I get being conservative on food cost but I was thinking three or four slices of bread would have been nice. Just note the place is much along the lines of a European café so don’t think they will be fast here because they are not at all fast. I saw over nine employees in a very small footprint but none of them could care less about any table they were not waiting on so NOTEAMWORK here. This server was LOST in his own mind so I gather anymore than two at a table he just could not handle. Be aware this is a before or after dinner place but don’t be in a hurry and just have time to kill when you go. I think they have a brunch but from what I saw with the servers I would say you might not want to go here for brunch unless you are alone ? Just not impressed with the place at all … Maybe they will mature over time?

This could easily belong in a French city. The coffee is perfect. The brioche roll cheeseburger is perfect. The fries and honey mustard are perfect. The service was perfect. Do you think I enjoyed this experience?

I tried Bread & Butterfly for the 1st time and they left me wanting more. I came for a lunch date and all I had was the kale and carrots salad. My date had the Bar Americain burger with fries. I tasted her burger and all I will say is that everyone else in Atlanta with a burger on the menu should reevaluate what they are doing! My salad was simple, well dressed, and served with bread crumbs as croutons. The service was great and the dessert display was calling my name, but I decided to restrain myself today as I will definitely be back soon!

I’m giving this place 5 stars for atmosphere and service, but more like 3 stars for menu. Walk into Paris! This place has such wonderful décor, from the patio(which will be amazing come the warm months!) to the foil ceiling. The service was polite and accommodating. Both of these attributes make it a perfect sunday afternoon type place. As for the menu, it was lacking in substance. In fact, we ended up just ordering something small and going to eat a full meal somewhere else. Perhaps that’s the purpose of this place? Not so much food, but coffee and small bites. I will be back!

Chef Billy Allin’s new spot in Inman Park is a wonderful nod to everything there is to love about Parisian cafes. The understated yet elegant interior, laid back ambience, simple yet refined food, friendly but not overbearing service, there’s much to like about this place. We were lucky to come for lunch on a quiet Tuesday, I am guessing this will quickly become a go-to intown brunch spot and thus a complete zoo on weekends. My tuna pan bagnat was delicious — the tuna was mixed with anchovies(heaven!) and topped with pickled onions, with the brininess offset by the egg and the brioche bun. Even the side salad was an unexpected mix of non-standard greens, the natural slight bitterness of radicchio a perfect complement to the tuna. Hubz had the potato & raclette gratin with lardons, which pretty much requires no further description as the decadence speaks for itself. Though we did not partake, there’s a small selection of classic cocktails(for now, bees knees, sazerac, pimms cup, and a champagne cocktail whose name escapes me) which — since many of the wonderful folks who work here are from Cakes & Ale — I can confidently assume are perfect. There are also a few wines by the glass, two or three beer selections, and a full espresso bar. I will return soon so I can update my review to reflect the pastries I eyed but was too full to try.

So I am here with my brunch buddy this morning. Did I just get transported from ATL to Paris? This place has great ambiance just like a quintessential Parisian café with its quaintness and café chairs. Our server Renato was great. Yes I agree with the other reviewer who mentioned slow service but I expected that. Having a long meal is very European and can be an enjoyable brunch experience. This is definitely a more slow good experience from the cappuccino I ordered to the avocado radish toast also ordered. My meal was tasty, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. It was quite refreshing being at a local brunch establishment where the focus was quality over quantity. The portion was not too petite but rather perfectly filling! My friend ordered the omelette of the day which had goat cheese and she agreed in the high quality and perfect size portion of her meal. Both of us were trying to be good given the new year and did not order cocktails. We think this may become our new regular Sunday brunch spot and yes there will be cocktails next time!

Beautiful space. Great coffee. Friendly(but slow) service. The menu is SUPER limited right now to the extent that it’s hard to make a meal out of it. If you don’t like the omelette of the day(which was gruyère and fines herbes when I went) and don’t want pancakes, there aren’t many places to turn. I’m sure that the decision to not include breakfast staples like bacon, sausage, etc., was deliberate, but it’s alienating. Despite the spot’s beauty and overall languid vibe, I think folks in the neighborhood will be hard-pressed to choose it over more filling options.

This classy little French-inspired café does not disappoint. First of all, the place is gorgeous. Every detail, from the ceiling to the saucer my cappuccino came on, is perfect. It has a much more sophisticated vibe than a hipster coffee shop. The food was absolutely excellent. Can’t wait to explore the rest of the menu.
