DISGUSTING! Stay away. Though the food is constantly being prepared, the ingredients are not fresh and the prepared food has a spoiled taste. Not even the fried rice is edible and that should be a staple. I am not looking for high-end Chinese food in this area but it should not taste as though it was pulled out of the dumpster. Also, the building is run down. How could anyone serve food in a place that looks like it has not been cleaned for a few years. Just look at the booths… gross! I will say the staff are friendly given how rude many of the customer act towards them. If you must have Chinese food, drive down Cascade, past 285 to Chin Chin for quality Chinese food.

Hood Eats GOOD Eats! Parking lot always packed so I went on a gave them a try today. Mall food court type Chinese, but cheaper! Went in around 130, fresh tasty and affordable. I had the lunch special(11 – 2) one meat(I had sea same chicken) chicken fried rice and egg roll for 3.50! The egg roll did have meat in it so please specify with them if you’re strictly veggie. They have several kids meals for $ 3 which are decent. Tea, lemonade, sodas and water no more than 1.50 to add on. Polite staff, clean establishment. I took mines to go but many people were sitting inside, enjoying their meals. I also noticed at the end of the food line you had the option to add on extra sauce(like sweet & sour, gravy, etc) which I thought was great, instead of them digging around the chicken trying to get you more, they have extra already set up! Give them a try. I heard their braised wings are bomb! And they did look so, so I’ll be back soon for them.

It is nothing to look at. But that’s not why you are there. If you want good food for really good prices, China Cafeteria is your spot. It is definitely mine. Since we moved to the neighborhood a few months ago, we’ve picked up takeout from China Cafeteria at least 3 times a month. At least. We’ve never been disappointed. Husband loves the orange chicken and the sesame chicken. I love the shrimp fried rice and really appreciate the fresh stirfry veggies. Always healthy portion sizes so we eat from our takeout order for a few meals. And I must mention the braised wings –delicious! I will continue to stop here when cooking is not an option. They save us time and $ every time we visit.

I worked with a guy who was a value eater. His normal stops were CiCi’s pizza, Wendy’s, Little Caesars, and China Cafeteria. I can say that I’ve been to all their locations in Atlanta. Basically, they’re all the same, cheap food, simple menu. After you eat, be prepared to drink about 20 gallons of water. Yes the food is packed with MSG, and other salty goodness. Overall, you get what you pay for.
