I wanted something quick so I decided to stop by this place. I had the«famous» chicken salad sandwich and their soup of the day, Green chili with pork. Both items were good. The sandwich was well made and the chicken salad didn’t fall apart which is a plus. The soup was tasty as well. If you want something quick or an above average sandwih, I recommend this place.

So tasty. A great place to grab a delicious veal sandwich, cooked to perfection, smothered in delicious sauce and nestled between the softest bun. We add onions, mushrooms and sometimes cheese to mix it up sometimes but it’s fine just on its own. Sandwiches come sweet or hot to your taste. They’re fantastic either way.

The Mac-n-cheese with BBQ pulled pork or chicken with Buffalo sauce is to die for. I totally recommend.

This is a good place to grab a bite to eat for lunch. They have a variety of different sandwiches as well daily soups. The sandwiches are filling but are forgettable. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. They do have good deals and promotions. They sometimes offer a meal deal after 5 and once did a scavenger hunt with a $ 250 gift card prize.

Recommend the club sandwich, but substitute the runny, soggy-bread inducing thousand island sauce for mayo. It comes on awesome toasted sourdough slices.

Love it! I had the deluxe po boy(with beef/ham/cheese/slaw) combo with fries. The meat is as fresh as advertised and just full of flavor with the au jus. However, I gave it a 4⁄5 beause the fries are just OK. I’m not sure if they are fresh cut or frozen but they taste like they might have been frozen. That of course doesn’t detract from the overall experience and I will certainly be back.

Not a bad place if you want a sandwich in Tech Square. Good portion size too. When I first came to this restaurant, I actually thought it was a Chinese restaurant because of the Chinese menu posted on the window. Actually, the menu just was translated into Chinese, presumably to accommodate Georgia Tech’s large international Chinese population. Props to them for taking the time to do this. I ordered the Roast Beef Poboy — the«Famous» size. There is quite a wide selection of sandwiches here. If you’re hungry, you can add ham and cheese by ordering the deluxe version of the sandwich. If you’re not that hungry, order the«Chucky» size sandwich. What I learned from eating with my coworkers is that the«Chucky» is one long sandwich, while the«Famous» consists of 2 slightly shorter sandwiches. The sandwich reminded me of a Philly cheesesteak with mayo instead of cheese. It was filling and the bread was good. My main criticism of this sandwich is how the au jus was served. Typically, au jus is served in a separate container. Here, the au jus was poured on the bottom of the sandwich. Result — soggy sandwich that started to fall apart in the middle of the meal. The fries included in the combo also weren’t amazing either. The au jus was tasty — it just needed to be served in a better way. The service speed isn’t super fast, but tolerable during lunch hour.

I do not recommend this place to anybody, avoid at all costs! I went there once and it had horrible service, rude employees and really bad food. It took forever for the cashier to take our order. When she finally did they were out of half the ingredients of the sandwiches. She was rude when we were speaking to her. We were able to finally order. When we picked up our order, my sandwich had a bad smell, sort of like it was made with stale meat. However, my friend’s sandwich was worse. There was a string of hair in my friend’s sandwich(IN not ON)!! When we talked to the employee in the kitchen, she didn’t believe us and she was even ruder. She reluctantly offered to make new ones but we didn’t want to eat anything from that kitchen again. The manager was nowhere to be found and we were so disgusted, we didn’t want to wait. Thankfully, we paid with a credit card and was able to get our money back. Again, I advice anybody to choose another place, there are plenty of better options around Tech Square.

Had the roast beef po boy and it was very satisfying! Clean restaurant, friendly staff, and quick service. No complaints here! Although I don’t get the chance to go here that often my husbands swears it is the holy grail of delis. I’ll be coming back!

The sandwiches are really expensive and just ok. I’d much rather go to Jason’s Deli for similar fair, or across the street for cheap subway.

Chuck’s is one of my two«go-to» places for lunch. I would suggest the club or the roast beef po boy. Both are very delicious. The staff are very friendly even when it is rush hour. It is packed everyday for lunch so I usually go around 11:30 or after 1:30. Definitely go for the«famous size» of each sandwich as the chuckie will be too small for most people(unless you supplement with sides). In this regard, I think the chuckie could be a dollar cheaper, but it doesn’t matter to me because I always get the famous size which is a good value for a real deli-style sandwich.

Something’s up if a restaurant in Techland is totally empty at 1:30 on a Friday… especially when every other place is slammed. My order, courtesy of living social’s new foodie service, was ready when I walked in the door. Should’ve been, since I ordered online 20 mins prior. And i was the only one to interrupt what was apparently a heated employee/manager discussion that lasted 10 minutes before they even acknowledged my presence. I could hear my au jus congealing as it awaited rescue on the counter. I’m the only customer amongst the dust bunnies, yet you forgot to drop the fries? Probably a good thing; that’s the only way i would’ve gotten them hot. Be aware that when you order, Chucky sized means Chucky-the-crazy-doll sized: about the size of my can’t-reach-an-octive hand. Bigger than Crystal, but not Subway sized. Not a problem for me, except for the pricey price. The other option adds a side of rice and beans or slaw I think, to make it a meal. The Crusty Italian has a yum selection of meats including mortadella and salami, red onions and dressing. I think the bread would’ve been perfect, but by the time I walked two blocks home, it was a soggy mess. Hmmmm… that extra 10 minutes sitting on the counter made the difference? The roast beef ‘po boy was almost as sad as my last trip thru Katrina ravaged Nola: dry, chewy, tasteless… au jus instead of gravy… no sloppy arm drip goodness. Or was it the Italian beef? Couldn’t tell. But what do you want for a free meal?

The«Country Italian” – layers of delicious deli meat on crusty bread – is the best sandwich in Tech Square. amazing.

Chuck’s Famous is a cool little sandwich shop in Tech Square. The food isn’t exceptionally great but I’ll stop by when in the mood for a sandwich. Its a nice place and was pretty quiet when I was there. The staff was friendly and nice.

Small little place in Tech Square. Decent amount of seating though and you can even lean over a counter facing 5th street so people passing by can watch you dribble on yourself. I thought the food was good but overpriced. I got a Chuck sized Italian sandwich and a bottled Coke Zero for about $ 8. I thought when I saw the bundled up sandwich though that I was going to starve, but when I opened the wrapper I saw it would be plenty of food. Unfortunately, I got full because there was so much bread. Not actual sandwich. Of course I could have gotten the size with more meat but I’m not sure that’s worth the extra like 3 bucks.

Famous Chuck’s in Tech Square at Georgia Tech is the old St. Charles Deli. They moved a block over to accommodate the Barrel House, which is in their old spot. I spoke to the manager at the shop(the owner?) one evening and he told me that the name change was primarily because they no longer serve fries. Apparently the new location doesn’t allow for a vent for a deep frier like the old location did. The food is very good, and the veggies are fresh. I have no complaints about the food at all. The place gets busy at lunch time, so be prepared to wait if you show up between noon and 1:00 pm.

The restaurant atmosphere might be good, but the food is bad. I spent $ 8 on the Roast Beef sandwich and I got a not-so-big flavorless sub with only a little bit a cabbage. My friend got a vegetarian sandwich but she didn’t like it either. We decided not to go back again.

Brand new sandwich shop close to Georgia Tech. Delicious house roasted meats, clever sandwich combinations and a *mighty* tasty Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich! Great service from an eager staff — the owner is omnipresent too ensuring quality and consistency always — Get there!
