Adding a new review for using the online food service ordering through Unilocal/Eat24. Food per usual is tasty and high-quality but the issue was with the service and wait time. Wait estimated was 10−35mins, so I showed up right in the middle of that estimate and ended up having to wait almost 10 mins over the higher estimate. GM greets me and begins to tell me that«I’m early but at least I have a nice smile and nicer dressed then those GrubHub people, who come in with their pants all low.» Which is super inappropriate thing to say to a customer. So that made it uncomfortable and I explained I was just trying to take a quick break to grab some good for lunch so I could take it back to work. Then I wait at the bar and can see into the kitchen, suspect that my food is sitting there bagged up. But seems like the GM doesn’t communicate with the servers and prefers to do things personally. He finally figures out that is my food and brings it over to me. Then asks how I’m doing on time and I say not great and try to hurry out. And instead of apologizing he tells me to «put my foot on the gas.» Recommend if you order online to come at the high end of the estimate and expect to wait.

It’s hit or miss here, depending on what you order. My crabcakes were tasty. However, the lobster pasta was incredibly spicy and there was no warning on the menu, no reference to it being hot. Another person at our table ordered a sausage pasta and, it too, was incredibly spicy with no warning. The lasagna was tasty. However, for an Italian restaurant, they did not have enough traditional Italian dishes.

As you walk through the door you feel an immediate sense that you’re in the right place. GM Jimmy at the door made us feel like family even though we were traveling from out of state. The place was fully book but he made a point to seat us at the anti-pasta bar. Randy treated us like gold from the moment we sat down and William dazzled us with his Pizza throwing skills. Couldn’t ask for a better welcoming and beginning to a beautiful friendship. The FOOD was outstanding. Eggplant Parmesan it was to die for and the lasagna was exquisite!!! We recommend you go out of your way to experience it for yourself.

Great take out dinner for our running girls group last night. Awesome vodka tomato pasta and loved the lemon chicken and vegetables. Linda Harrell knows how to make flavors mesh and everything we got was so fresh, hot and perfect for an evening dinner on the patio with friends. This is a go to place for eat in. or take out for home ! So glad they give good portions so we can enjoy leftovers tonight !!!

It is a bit on the pricier side for a family dinner night. I especially wish they had a few more affordable by the glass wines. The food was really good, we tried the meat charcuterie, lasagne, pasta with vodka sauce, chicken parm, pizza and traditional spaghetti with red sauce. The sauces taste very fresh with deep flavor, the pasta was perfect just past al dente. The best part of our dinner was the service, it was friendly, quick, knowledgable and our drinks were never low. We’ll definitely be back.

William was our server and he was amazing! Food was great! If you like poached eggs this is the place for you because everything comes with one! Bread is a little subpar, however the experience and service was perfect!

Let me just start off by saying that, I didn’t know what to expect with this place… But I had a dining out coupon book and I kept seeing the picture of the carbonara pasta, which is one of my favorite dishes, on the coupon… So my best friend came into town and decided to try it out. That was an excellent decision… The atmosphere was great… The customer service was great as well throughout the night… We went on a Monday night. Now let’s get to the food! I have been trying for years to find a place that prepares crab cakes this way… The taste and texture was soo good… However, you only get two which was a little disappointing but they were prepared exceptionally well… Now the carbonara was just as good… At first I was thrown off by the thick noodles but it worked well! I highly recommend these entrees… Overall, my first experience here was a really good one. Can’t wait to come back…

Don’t get the Brie Nutella Pannini! The Caprese salad was delicious and the Carbonara was delicious.

Cibo e Beve is one of my mom’s «goto» restaurants so I’ve dined here many times(for free… thanks mom). Cibo means food and Beve means drink. The atmosphere is classy, cozy, and the service is good. The restaurant is on OpenTable so make a reservation to get those points! For starters, my favorites are the meatballs and crispy brussels. I attended a couple of Chef Linda’s cooking classes at Cibo and at one we made the meatballs. The balls are made with 3 different meats. I can’t remember the exact meats but I think it has brisket, short rib, and the 3rd I can’t even guess at. Regardless, they’re delicious with the house made tomato sauce. The crispy brussels are a staple in my mom’s order. She orders them without cheese, but they are delicious nonetheless. They are cooked in the 500+ degree+ pizza oven to deliver the«crisp.» For my main I usually order a pizza because I’m a sucker for fancy pizza. I’ve had the Diavola(has a spicy kick), Brooklyn(Italian sausage and onions) and Margherita. All are delicious, but as I get older my pizza taste has gotten simpler and simpler for some reason so, if I had to choose the best, I’m a slight Margherita lean. I’m 94% sure that the dough is not 00, so don’t compare to Antico, but it’s a good pie. I’ve also had their branzino(aka European seabass) special before and it was awesome! The fish was mild and moist. I’ve also tried the lobster spaghetti… very good! I appreciate the simplicity of the dish and letting the ingredients do the talking. Ask you server for wine recommendations as they are on point. I’m not a wine connoisseur in the least, but they have a lot of good Italian wines. IMPORTANTNOTE: I’m not sure they still do this, but you can buy a bottle of wine to take away at retail prices. I believe most of the wines that they carry can’t be bought in your local package store. I did this once to bring wine to a fancy dinner party. I’ll leave you with tip: If you’re into cooking or Food Network shows, I’d recommend sending at the back counter where you can watch the open kitchen and pizza oven while you eat. It’s mesmerizing.

Disappointing lunch from mobilewaitersatl. $ 30 got me a sloppy piece of tiramisu and then a Brussels salad with tuna, it looks like there is barely enough. While the salad is delicious, I just wish there was more for my money.

Well, I stopped in here a few weeks wanting something different. Being they are a sister place with one of my regular places. I had to try it out. It’s was nice a laid back the night I went in. Set at the bar and the bartender was pretty good. Made excellent drunk. For dinner, I had some of their kale soup. I will have to say the food is good. A little over priced on some things. But good.

I absolutely loved this place. The restaurant was quaint. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The food was excellent. I normally order eggplant parm when I visit a new Italian restaurant, but the description had me guessing a little bit. I ordered the lasagna, which was fabulous, but our server brought me a small sample of the eggplant parm to try anyway. I will definitely be back.

INCREDIBLE service, wonderful atmosphere and memorable food — what more could you want?! This a a gem! Our server(wish I could remember his name!) made our experience great. Helped me pick out the perfect wine through sampling and knowledge. If you are looking for a great first date, date night, or just a wonderful dining experience this is the place!

I wasn’t super impressed with this place. I felt that the menu was kinda limited with vegetarian options. I shared a pizza, which was ok. The ambience and our waitress were super nice, though.

Came here with the work crew and enjoyed a nice lunch on their patio. The restaurant was near empty during lunch time so we didn’t really know what to expect. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall next to a few other restaurants. We started with the meatballs which were very flavorful and pretty big in size(comes with 4 pieces) to split among our group of 5. I ordered the Radiatori alla Vodka(sausage, spicy tomato cream sauce) for my entrée. It was a simple pasta dish executed very well. Just the right balance of creamy, spicy, and meaty. Everyone loved the sauce on my pasta that they scraped every last bit of it with the complimentary bread. Definitely will come back to try their pizzas!

HIt and misses. I looooooved the lobster pasta and the charred octopus. But some of the pasta dishes were so dry and tasteless like the Radiatori alla vodka. Would give it a 3.5 for inconsistency.

Cibo e Beve(the Italian words for food and drink) is a modern Italian restaurant that opened July 21, 2011 in a Sandy Springs strip mall it shares with sister restaurant Food 101 and Thai restaurant Bangkok Thyme. I’ve been to Cibo e Beve a couple times and think the food is A-OK. There are some outstanding dishes and service is excellent. Cibo is a nice looking, warm and cozy restaurant. It’s perfect for small groups and dates. The largest table at Cibo is a 10-person tall table in the back next to the open kitchen. I recommend sitting at the counter in front of the open kitchen to see(and smell) all the action. Convenient coat and purse hooks are installed throughout the dining room and bar. Between the bar and kitchen is a wood-fired oven for pizza baking. Wood is used extensively in the space, from floor to ceiling, including decoratively stored stacks of chopped wood(presumably used in the oven). Comfy booths and banquettes with pillows round out the rustic-yet-contemporary interior which can get loud when things get busy. My trips to Cibo have been for dinner where the restaurant offers salads(e.g. the Insalata D’Estate includes strawberries, buttermilk dressing, candied pecans, goat cheese) and veggies(e.g. Crispy Brussels), appetizers like Wood-Roasted Oysters and Charred Octopus, pastas, pizzas(including Neapolitan-style pizzas), and traditional and inventive Italian entrees like Chicken Parm, Ossobuco(veal shank), and a «Cibo» burger made with brisket, short rib, and tri-tip. Expect to spend about $ 10 – 12 each for most apps and sides and $ 20 – 30 each for most pizzas, pastas, and entrees. Cibo uses local, seasonal ingredients and I’ve noticed the menu change between my visits. The exact items I’ve listed in this review may not be on the menu during your visit. My top three favorite Cibo dishes: 1. Burrata with tomato tartare, watercress, poppy seed, local honey and balsamic 2. Diver Scallops — corn and fregola salad, cauliflower cream, green apples, fig vincotto 3. Roasted Blue Point Oysters * Honorable mention: Coconut panna cotta, hibiscus-blackberry coulis(dessert) Most recently, I tried the following spread: First Course * Burrata Caprese Style — fresh mozzarella pouches with creamy cheese, local heirloom tomatoes, aged balsamic reduction, basil, EVOO, arugula * Kale Caesar Salad — red Russian kale, creamy Caesar dressing, white anchovies, croutons, Reggiano crisps * Cibo Meatballs — beef & veal meatballs, San Marzano sauce, ricotta Second Course * Rock Shrimp Spaghetti Carrettiera — fresh Florida rock shrimp, spicy San Marzano tomato sauce * Lamb Scottadito — Italian marinated lamb chops, garlic jus * Chicken Marsala — Springer Mountain Chicken, wild mushroom marsala sauce Sides * Roasted Potatoes * Sicilian Style Broccoli * Heirloom Polenta Third Course * Tiramisu * Cannoli * Salted Caramel Gelato Pie with Amarena cherries Once again, the Burrata wins. I can’t get enough of its soft, smooth, creamy goodness. It is truly delightful. The Cibo Meatballs were fine. They were big — between the size of a golf ball and baseball. The sauce really brought out the flavor in the beef and veal. The Lamb was my favorite dish of the second course. The on-the-bone meat was tender and tasty. The Chicken Marsala was my least favorite. When it came to the sides, I didn’t care much for the Potatoes(rather plain), but the Broccoli and Polenta were terrific. The broccoli was nice and buttered up. I recommend the polenta. It was smooth and velvety. The Gelato Pie was delicious with a plentiful helping of sweet Amarenas. It was the clear-cut winner in the dessert category. Plenty of parking is available at the strip mall. You may have to park behind the building and walk around to the front. Cibo e Beve is on OpenTable so book online and earn free dining points.

Oh Cibo, how I love thee! My very first visit here was thanks to a very special Unilocal Gold Elite dinner in May 2014, thanks to Chef Linda and Ben G. It was a 14 course dinner that left everyone at the event super full and satisfied. It was nice to get a sneak peak at all the new dishes that were being introduced to the menu that season. This event was when I discovered BURRATA cheese. Wow… words cannot express how much I love the creaminess of burrata cheese and Chef Linda and her team prepares the dish perfectly. The restaurant itself is cozy and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s always a good sign when they are busy throughout the entire week. I was able to visit Cibo last month with 10 of my lovely friends and we were lucky enough to sit at the Chef’s table that night. Ryan was a fantastic server. He took great care of us. His energy and ability to make recommendations and accommodate all of us at one time was quite impressive. He was attentive and made sure our dining experience rocked. Thank you Ryan for being such a great server that night! We started out with the grilled brussels sprouts and sausage and peppers appetizers for the table. The grilled brussels sprouts is one of my favorite appetizers there next to the burrata cheese. It’s topped with a soft boiled egg and grilled to perfection! The sausage and peppers appetizer was quite tasty. The sausages were cooked well and it was the right about of spice. I had to personally order the lasagna that night because I liked the idea of Chef Linda using two kinds of meat. Coincidentally, I haven’t had lasagna in ages so really enjoyed my order. The lasagna was soft, creamy and the seasoning was just right. Other fan favorites from the table were the lamp chops, shrimp risotto and the wild salmon dish. I definitely want to return and try the Cibo burger soon! I’m looking forward to our«girl’s night out» dinner later this month and can’t wait to introduce new friends to this lovely restaurant. HUGE shout out to Chef Linda for making sure my 10 lovely friends got a chance to try her famous burrata cheese dish and the amazing gelato pie that is not always on the menu. All my friends enjoyed their very first visit to «Cibo» and because of our visit, there are plenty more friends who plan on visiting your restaurant soon! Thanks again to Chef Linda and her team for a lovely dining experience and taking care of all my dear friends that night with all of their requested dining needs. If you haven’t checked out Cibo, you must visit them soon! You won’t be disappointed! It’s an adorable restaurant with fantastic customer service, amazing specialty cocktails and food you’ll leave craving more!

Great place for a lunch that’s upscale, delicious, and won’t break the bank. My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch one day this week and were not disappointed. The place wasn’t too crowded, which was shocking, since Bangkok Thyme next door had a 30 minute wait(and doesn’t have as delicious food, in my opinion…). I got the baked ziti, and as a ziti lover, I was not disappointed. The portion was very hearty(I could not finish it all!), and so, so good. It contained delicious crumbles of italian sausage, and a generous topping of cheese. The pasta sauce wasn’t quite at the level of my boyfriend’s italian grandmother’s recipe, but came pretty close. My boyfriend got the chicken marsala, which came over pasta with alfredo sauce, and he also loved it. Overall, an excellent meal for just over $ 10 a plate. Cibo e Beve has a very comfortable, but modern feel. Cushy benches and pillows comprise a large portion of the seating in this place. I was so comfy, I could have fallen asleep! We found Cibo to be a much better restaurant experience and value than the loud, overcrowded Bangkok Thyme… and honestly tastier too! We will definitely be back.
