Unfortunately, I found this Dunkin to be subpar. Being an Emory student for a while now(6 years including undergrad+med+phd), I was here when it first opened and have a firsthand experience of its decline. It replaced an Einstein Bros a couple years back. When I first started med school, I used to drop by this Dunkin between classes. The coffee has always been mediocre at best, and occasionally(more often in the afternoon) it is burnt. I keep coming back because it is usually a quick and easy caffeine fix, not because I expect anything of quality. What really bugs me is the poor attitude of the people that work here. I have never seen anybody at this Dunkin in a good mood. I get that it’s probably not a dream job, but those sentiments shouldn’t seep into the coffee they make. I usually leave feeling worse than when I arrived. On a happier note, the donuts and the bagels are pretty good. There is also ample and comfortable seating. If you decide to get cream cheese, be sure to ask for less or for a side since they slop enough on to feed all of Emory for a week. I would not order any of the sandwich items because they look and taste like they were frozen for a couple months then microwaved. As Audrey noted, they are generally good with correcting orders. Truthfully, I don’t think this Dunkin would survive outside of its monopoly on Emory students. There are a couple tiny Starbucks nearby(one in the Children’s Hospital, and another next to the Emory Hospital cafeteria), and a larger one in the bookstore on the far side of campus(Emory village). Jazzman’s in the library also serves coffee, but I haven’t been there in years. If you have extra time, I would recommend any of those locations over this Dunkin for coffee. 2 stars for making decent bagels and for serving coffee nearby.

The service at this Dunkin Donuts is fabulous. I have been here several times and am consistently impressed. If you are waiting by the pick-up counter for more than a couple minutes they will check in with you and make sure your order is being prepared(why don’t all coffee shops do that?). If for some reason your order is wrong(your fault or theirs) they will re-make the drink, no questions asked. This shop is located inside the DUC(Dobbs University Center) at Emory which is the main student center on campus. The upside to the location is that there are a ton of tables and chairs and comfortable couches where you can sit and enjoy your order. The downsides of the location are that at peak hours(which are somewhat unpredictable due to different class times) the line can get quite lengthy, and there is no free parking in the surrounding area. Due to the parking issue, this shop is really only a good option if you are already parked in the area. I will gladly endure a lengthy line to get coffee here due to the consistency of food and service :)
