I love this place; we come here for weekday lunch sometimes. However, the service is terrible every single time. It’s like the servers don’t listen to you, and avoid your eyes whenever they go by. I always ask for my biscuit first, like an appetizer, but they never bring it. I’m not exaggerating. It takes forever to eat here.

Flying Biscuit just isn’t the same as it used to be now that they’re franchised out. The difference is a bit subtle, but I can taste it. This particular location is in the Terminus building in Buckhead. It’s definitely a popular spot for those who work nearby. I highly recommend ordering online ahead of time so you can simply pick up your food when it’s ready. Nevertheless, you can order your food to-go near the counter, but it might take a bit of wait after noon. I had the veggie burger with a side of the grilled mac and cheese. I definitely liked the grilled mac and cheese because it’s really creamy, like ricotta cheese creamy. I’m impressed that this location does a lot of juicing. The last time I was at a Flying Biscuit was probably more than 2 years ago. If I’m here again, I’ll probably stop by to get a juice.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt next door so breakfast at the Flying Biscuit was super convenient. Food was good. Ambience and décor was super cute and eclectic. Our server James W. was attentive, polite, and quick w the service — we got our coffees and drinks right away before taking or order. I ordered the Famous Flying Biscuit Breakfast. Biscuit and grits were delicious! Eggs were good bc how can you make eggs wrong. Disappointingly, my chicken sausage was hard and dry that it was tough to even cut through. The peach compote in my uncle’s High Flyer Breakfast was good. My cousin ordered the Tofu Scrambled but was only able to eat a third of it bc it was so salty.

My friend and I came here for breakfast and waited around 20 minutes before being seated. There is a nice shaded outdoor space where you can wait for your table. We ended up ordering the high flyer and eggstravaganza. I liked how both these places give you some variety(sausage, bacon, grits, eggs, biscuit, pancake/french toast). Everything was decent, but my favorite was the french toast. I especially liked their crème anglaise sauce! We were so stuffed after this meal. Our server was great and both of our dishes were ~$ 10 each.

One of several locations in Atlanta. Greeted with a hearty«Hi y’all» had a great filling breakfast. I even redeemed my offer of a free fried green tomato appetizer at 7am! Never had them before. It is served with a jalapeño sweet corn relish that just had a tiny hint of heat. I had an omelet with goat cheese very good. One breakfast had grits. I tasted them and it was like creamy cream of wheat. Not bad. Service was okay but it is a very laid back place with only 5 people in the whole place. Kind of slow. All in all not bad.

It took me a while to appreciate Flying Biscuit after all these years. After repeat visits, I’m starting to warm up to the establishment. I am not a biscuit guy but I’ve started to appreciate thier signature side item. But you really come here for the breakfast stuff. They have a bunch of mix & match breakfast items between their grits(which I’ve started to like more & more), eggs, hashbrowns/potatoes, pancakes. What i do like is their menu is plentiful with beyond breakfast items as well. Southern style breakfast is what they roll with and they do more than a halfway decent job in this. This particular location has adequate seating, It doesn’t seem like people are all on top of each other. The parking is a bother because of the huge garage you have to enter from either Piedmont or from off Lenox /Peachtree. Breakfast wise: it is a safe place to pick. Won’t overly wow you but doesn’t necessarily disappoint. The price is a tad bit high I think but they do give you a decent amount of grub. Grade: B+

Overrated. Overrated. Overrated. Too expensive. Horrible parking. Never getting another dime from Elsie. Pathetic attempt at breakfast. Pathetic atmosphere and cookie cutter, cheap décor. Those cold, hard grits; give me my money back. Moma Chong makes better grits and she isn’t southern. Shameful.

The best damn grits in Atlanta! Ok, I know that’s a bold, powerful statement about an establishment in the South, but it’s TRUE!!! I’m a Sunday Brunch kinda girl, so it’s super important to have a go-to spot that doesn’t cost more than a tank of gas per week! I’d forgotten about the beauty that is Flying Biscuit until a few months ago when I went on a date there. And then I had those grits and that bacon and that pancake and magic happened! The grits literally need nothing added… yes you read that correctly. They need NOTHINGADDED! They are the perfect texture, consistency, and flavor. The other thing I love about FB is their coffee. It’s AMAZING! I don’t know what roast it is, but it is perfection. There are SEVERAL locations around the city, and the locations I’ve tried have all been very good. Overall, this is a great place to go for brunch on the weekends, or even breakfast or lunch during the week.

If you’ve lived in ATL, frequented it, or just passed through, chances are you’ve hear someone reference Flying Biscuit or you, yourself have visited. This place oozes southern comfort. I’ve had several of the menu items and none of them have disappointed, but, I have to be honest. Each time that I visit either of the locations, I go for the grits. Give me a big bowl of their stone ground grits with that white cheddar cheese and it is a party in your mouth. The grits have the right amount of salt, right amount of cheese, right amount of butter. However, I’m a product of the South so I need extra butter and cheese… My mouth is watering as I write this review. Lastly, the service is always on point. I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed. It’s always better when the person attending to your table has a great personality and isn’t afraid or doesn’t have an issue with bonding with you on topics not related to your dining experience. It certainly makes for entertainment as our waiter and a friend of mine went round for round about which college football team was the best and would make it to become the champion.

I’ve been to a few Flying Biscuit locations but this was my first time here. I went around 3:00 on Saturday which is about an hour before closing. They only had about 5 tables with customers so it was fairly quiet. I waited for a bit at the hostess stand because there wasn’t any staff on the floor. After I was finally seated, I ordered grits and a biscuit. It tasted great, until I found something in my grits. Ewww! It looked like a piece of sausage or something. My waiter said sometimes the grits burn at the bottom of the pan… didn’t like a burned grit ball to me though. At that point, I didn’t have any appetite so I had it taken off my bill and prepared to leave. As I sat and waited for my waiter to come back to the table(he disappeared a while), I noticed other patrons seating themselves because once again there were no staff on the floor to seat them. Overall, I still like flying biscuit but I probably wouldn’t come back to this location again.

Well I guess I was expecting more flavor on pazazz on my biscuits and gravy. It just plain wasn’t good gravy, the eggs were just okay too. The grits were nice and creamy but that was the only thing I really enjoyed. My wife really like the tofu scramble with tahini sauce a first for her. I would have to try something else next time.

Just another okay breakfast diner. I guess my review would get another star for the grits, but I didn’t get them(sorry, I REALLY like potatoes, which were a huge disappointment.) My friend is not a breakfast fan and I love breakfast foods, so this seemed like a good compromise for a early lunch. There was a pretty long wait, which was fine. Lots of seating outside with a buzzer to hang out and wait. It was kind of a cluster inside and the disinterested hostesses should have been a sign. It is very crowded when you’re seated; this is not somewhere to go if you have kids that want to run around or you need lots of space. It’s good for a slowly served breakfast. Our service was pretty abysmal though. Server was MIA most of the time. Our orders were wrong and missing items and they weren’t even customized — straight off the menu! I did appreciate that there were several vegetarian items and I tried the«Egg-Ceptional Eggs.» They desperately needed seasoning. Despite the salsa and feta cheese, it all just tasted(and looked) a little like glop. Not like glop is a real thing, but what I imagine glop to be. The biscuits, however, were delicious as was the house jam. I would go back for that! And they have a to go breakfast menu available of egg/meat biscuit sandwiches which I think would be great to try. I also ordered a chai latte which arrived lukewarm. Boo! It’s a fine option in the area, but I would hope for Atlanta, there are better Southern-style breakfast diners.

Super great and friendly service, mostly all of their meals come with a biscuit which was amazingly buttery yet light with just enough crisp. The grits though were the star of the show though by far. They put butter and cream and all that good stuff in it and if I were staying longer I’d totally come back for the shrimp and grits. Came here on a Saturday at 12:45 so didn’t have to wait luckily. Prices are super affordable too. Fried green tomatoes were a tad bit soggy, only complaint by far. Mmmm craving those grits!

After being harassed for not having ever eaten grits, I stopped into the flying biscuit my final week of working in Atlanta with some coworkers. Let me tell you — those creamy dreamy grits are going to be on my mind for a long time. I certainly finished the bowl of them that accompanied my 2 eggs, chicken sausage, turkey bacon, a biscuit with apple butter, AND french toast. Unfortunately I couldn’t finish it all and some of the other stuff had to remain on the plate. Prices were great and I got all of that for about 10.50. We also tried the fried green tomatoes and they were fantastic. Very crisp and topped with sautéed minced garlic and goat cheese. Great for breakfast and lunch, and I wish I lived nearby so I could try their dinner options!

Perfect for what we needed– a great Southern meal at moderate prices. I got shrimp and grits– a perfect dish with a mix of creamy grits and spicy shrimp. We gotta free fried green tomato app on check in from Unilocal.Awesomeness. It was well worth an order to start the meal. My moms fish tacos were hearty tilapia wonders… Which got me to wondering… How soon can we race back here!!!

The provided service was ssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. The server almost had an air of disregard for our table. It reached the point where I just started asking random workers for whatever the table needed. I mean, I don’t expect to be fawned over but come on, show some interest that you want our tips. And yes, I know that sounded slightly sexual. My eggs benedict confused me. It was warm and cold in all the wrong places. Presentation was unfortunate too, as everything was so beige looking. Can’t you add some color for appeal? I went here with 5 other people, and all the food looked the same. It’s a shame this place is so underwhelming, because it is a nice location where I would expect tastiness.

Very cute café. Plenty of seats in the early morning. The coffee was good. Nothing special. Got the eggs and biscuit and gravy. It was just average. I was surprised but there was not much flavor to this dish. Got the roasted potatoes instead of the grits. Again just ok. Not a lot of flavor. I tried the plain biscuit with apple butter and that was good. Others indicated the oatmeal pancake was good. Next time I have to try something else…
