I brought my previous car to this location for the emission testing and I was always very satisfied.
Last weekend I brought my new car in for an oil change and to have the tires inflated. They are quick and provide good service.
I am also very happy that there has always been a woman working here when I have had service completed.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I went in for an oil change and every single person I interacted with was so nice. And not in like a hospitality-​robot way, like a I’d-get-a-beer-with-you way. They were super communicative about what oil I needed and how much it costs, and even gave me a $ 20 discount when the oil grade I needed made it more expensive than I was expecting. I left this place happier than when I came in – I can’t say that about many other places.

I pulled up to get an oil change, spoke to one employee who advised me on what oil my car required, and talked to me about pricing, which was a completely normal, fine experience. However, as I was waiting in the line, the employees had me pull forward almost to the bumper of the car in front of me to let a stalled car get through, which several employees were helping to push. After that car had landed, the employees started back toward the garage, and one young employee felt the need to «parkour» over my hood in order to get back to the garage. I could not believe he actually tried to jump over my car, kicking the front bumper on his way. Then he kept going into the garage, didn’t stop to apologize or make sure there was no damage. I thought this was totally unacceptable. I do not mind when people have fun at their jobs, but when they show total disrespect for the very item that the customer is entrusting them with, I find that to be inexcusable. If it is a sign of how they run their business, I will take my business elsewhere.

OK-​if an experience getting an emissions test is so stellar that you feel compelled to write a review, you know that’s pretty awesome. These guys immediately welcomed me, told me an emissions test would take about 15 minutes, held the door for me for the waiting room, and got to work. By the time I pulled out my laptop and got my document open, they were calling me up to pay, and then had pulled my car around to the front. No more than about eight minutes. Tops. Someone asked me when my birthday was, and when I told him the date-(still two weeks away)-all of them wished me a happy birthday and a wonderful holiday before handing me my receipts. I passed, it’s filed, and I’ve got time on my hands! Thanks, cheery and efficient staff– you gave me an unexpected boost today.

This has always been my «go to» spot for emissions testing but I recently decided to get my oil changed here and I had a great experience. The staff were all friendly and helpful and I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. The mechanic made a couple of recommendations for me but didn’t push me to do anything right then. I can’t stand when places try to up sale you. I will definitely be returning to this place to get my oil changed in the future.

I was a little nervous to come here because of some of the negative reviews but it’s so close to my house I decided to try it. I was very pleasantly surprised. They were very fast and efficient. There were no gimmicks or annoying upsell attempts. I would definitely go back!

Do not go here. Total scam artists. Told me synthetic oil was «required» for my car and that I would «void the warranty» if I didn’t. I later found out both were not true.

Honestly, the most consistent customer service experience in midtown. I go every 3 – 4 months on a Wednesday afternoon (ladies day– $ 20!!) for an oil change. Everyone who works there is extremely polite, efficient and goes out of their way to make it a great customer service experience. Even better everyone seems to enjoy working there– can’t recommend enough!

Great service station with an honest mechanic. Service is quick. You do not need an appointment. They inspect your engine and go over everything with you before doing any work. Head mechanic is forefront if there are any problems. He does refer out if there are better deals or someone better qualified to perform any task. They do offer returning customers coupons.

Great customer service… Friendly staff. Got my oil change really fast, took them like 15mins. I will be back from now on to get my service, the good customer service won me over.

Huge scam. They told me I needed a new battery, which was a lie. They were going to charge me $ 110 or so for a new one I didn’t need. I took it to a mechanic and it tested fine.

I just went in yesterday and after being completely taken advantage of, I wish I’d read some of these reviews. I had the same EXACT experience as many below PUSHY, MISLEADING, DISHONEST SCAMS.
The mechanics there asked me if I «knew what kind of oil the car needed.» When I replied that I usually get the basic oil change at my regular garage, they said that if I wasn’t sure, my safest bet was to get the synthetic, implying that a lesser quality oil might damage my car. THE SYNTHETIC IS $ 100.
They were extremely pushy in trying to convince me that I needed to get my engine flushed because there was «sludge» on the dipstick. That service is COMPLETELY unnecessary for the make/​model and mileage of my car and all of the «sludge» they showed me in this sleazy gimmick was about to be drained out of the bottom of my engine anyway. 3 different people all tried to push this service on me. They’ve clearly been instructed here.
Once I was in there, they charged me an extra $ 15 for «extra» oil because I’d «let it go so low.» It wasn’t until I called a friend who’s a professional that I realized they replace all of your oil. There is no need for «EXTRA». If I wanted to top it off, I could’ve picked some up myself for a third of the price.
I ended up paying $ 70 for an oil change and emissions test that should’ve cost me $ 40.
SHAME on these people. As far as the woman behind the counter who said, «You need to flush your engine regularly. It’s just like cooking grease. If you don’t change your grease, your chickens gonna look all crummy.» That patronising metaphor describes why you need an oil change, not an engine flush. THANK GOD I AT LEAST SAID NO TO THAT ONE.
PLEASE go somewhere else. I’d suggest the MIDAS on Northside Drive. They do honest business.

In and out in around 15 minutes for an emissions inspection. Everyone was friendly and no muss, no fuss.

Well, this is a sketchy business.
First, on the plus side, their emissions and oil changes are fast and fairly inexpensive.
However, a couple definite problems and then some sneaking suspicions. The definite problems are the fact that every single time I stopped by for an oil change, they tried to sell me several expensive flushes that are, at best, unnecessary for my make and model (and honestly unnecessary for most makes and models). These flushes are usually just cash cows for car repair shops to make easy money on customers that don’t know better, but a lot of mechanics do this, so it didn’t bother me too much and I always just declined.
The bigger problems are mostly suspicions, similar to other reviewers’ — within two days of going in for an oil change, my check engine light had gone on, and when I went to my regular mechanic to get it looked at, he said that the wires had been «unsettled» — which can happen with ordinary wear and tear on the car, sure, but I’m not the first person to leave Havoline with a check engine light mysteriously coming on, according to Unilocal.
Secondly, and maybe more a symbol of carelessness than intention, my car has had some exhaust problems in the past (split manifold) — but LITERALLY the day after I brought it in for an oil change, the dull rumble changed to a jet engine, and apparently the entire exhaust pipe is split down the center now. It’s an old car, and everything down there is rusted, and it’s possibly a coincidence, but it’s not a pleasant experience to take your car out of the shop with more problems than when it went in.
I will not be returning to this Havoline and I highly recommend finding somewhere else. This may be mostly coincidence, but it’s not worth gambling on.

These guys are all SO happy to be working here, so helpful, explained everything you needed, transparent about the wait time, just overall excellent customer service. Can’t say enough about how impressed I was about EVERYONE’S friendly attitude, including April at the front desk all the way to everyone back in the shop and up to the owner, Doug. Great experience all around, highly recommend.

Stay away from this scam. They say they change oil but what they really do is loosen the wires in the engine so your check engine light comes on! Shame on them we even tipped the mechanic! Our car just came straight from the dealers lot and absolutely nothing was wrong with it we had all the emissions papers that showed it passed I knew they did something to our car so I told my husband to take the car to another mechanic and he showed us exactly what Havoline did to our car. Reported them to BBB!

They were fast and friendly! I need thicker oil, so Cody recommended high mileage oil change at a discounted price. They check all the fluids and make recommendations. The guy tried to get me to buy another air filter, but I only think it was because I’m a woman… It was somewhat dirty, but not as dirty as the one that replaced it… Lol

No muss, no fuss. Oil change done + replaced a leaky valve in under 15 min. (went on a Friday at lunchtime) They didn’t upsell too heavily, but did offer a coolant and transmission flush that I declined politely. The air filter (a common extra expense) was borderline, but they agreed it could probably wait until my next change to replace. No complaints, pleasant interactions and easy time. The cost was 42.00 total because of the valve replacement. For a basic oil change, good by me.

Always be weary of places like these. I will agree with the other reviews, they are very nice and friendly. They never messed my car up but they did put incorrect filters on it, which could have caused issues. I only recommend going here for small things, i.e. replacing bulbs. Other than minor things such as these, you’re better off finding you a good, reliable and honest mechanic. Or if you know someone who does good oil changes, that’s good too! When I just want an oil change, I want JUST an oil change.
I made that very clear on the way in, and they still did the old pull-​out-​the-​air-​filter shtick.
Also, they try and tack on $ 2.95 onto the prices on their signs and justify it as a «fee». When asked to explain, they say it’s part of their costs of doing the change. That’s not a fee, that’s called part of the oil change. Just raise the price on your board $ 3 if it costs that, don’t try and sneak it in as a fee that you are willing to take off if questioned about it.
They proceeded to justify it as «everyone does it» and then challenged me to remember in 9 months when I next need an oil change to remember that they do it and not go there. Challenge accepted.
Lesson learned: Say these exact words when getting an oil change: I only authorize just an oil change for exactly $ 30 plus tax, no fees.
