The eggs were incomplete. I ordered scrambled eggs and it tasted like the egg substitute stuff you get at the grocery store. I also asked that mine be scrambled extra hard and they came out quite soft, maybe because they weren’t real eggs?

The food at Hi-Five is good for the price. You can get a decent sized plate and not pay a lot. I’m not ranking the food over other spots but it’s the prices that make it good for what it is. I never go there during breakfast hours which I believe are their peak hours so I can’t speak to that. But I love popping in there mid-afternoon on the weekend or late night. The staff are always very nice and fun to chat with. They have a good beer selection with a nice variety in rotation. They usually have 3 – 4 beers on tap and if you just want a regular cheap beer there’s always Miller Highlife on tap for $ 3. Currently they have a happy hour from 10pm to midnight which is pretty awesome. I wouldn’t recommend Hi-Five for the cocktail or margarita enthusiast. But they do have a small cocktail list and sometimes if you order the right thing not from their list they can make a decent cocktail. One of my favorite attributes about Hi-Five is the patio area. They have a nice patio area right off Peachtree with a fountain and sort of a garage door window that opens to create an outdoor walk-up bar. It’s great in the summer time if you’re walking past and just hop up to the bar and grab a beer even if you’re on your way to or from somewhere else. I just like little places like Hi-Five.

The best neighborhood gathering place. Very casual attire, good people and great food. Everything from breakfast to dinner is great. The best is you can add proteins and such to base plates so you can eat healthy or throw on some bacon. I eat here several times a week. Also, the staff rock! I always feel at home.

I love this place. It’s a bit of a hipster joint and people who don’t like the service likely just don’t enjoy the company. They aren’t really here to kiss your ass, they’re human and make mistakes. The mixed drinks are awesome(prohibited at turner field –do it) and the food is good most of the time but I honestly love that I can come into this place any time and chill and have a drink or a bite to eat and not have a worry in the world. Two thumbs up

Came here one morning after not wanting to wait at Flying Biscuit. I like the theme, décor and feel of this place, as well as the service. The hostess and servers were all cool and pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. They were professional but cool. I got the fried chicken eggs benedict, the chicken was dry and the eggs were too runny for me! The food was bland and just okay. I do like that they offer cereal on the menu though. I will, maybe, try this place again because of the service and order something else.

My friend and I decided to try this place instead of our more reliable breakfast spots on Monday morning. Service was pretty bad. Our waitress forgot to bring out our side order of a croissant and never apologized, even when I had to tell her to remove the charge from our bill. She was not very friendly either. Food was okay — my skillet tasted like it had been drowned in butter, and my over medium eggs were over cooked. My buddy got an egg and cheese bagel that didn’t look too appetizing, he did the bagel tasted like it was frozen. And this guy knows bagels. Also, it took like 45 minutes for the food to come out, which is ridiculous for a simple breakfast food order — especially considering that there was a crowd of only 20 or so people in the place.

So my bf and I were hungry on a Saturday morning and wandering around the neighborhood. We saw this diner and like the way it looked. We didn’t want to eat TOO much because we were meeting people for lunch but we wanted something. I had grits for the first time in college and hated them. Since then I’ve come to realize I like decent grits. This place has really yummy cheesy grits. We devoured it fairly quickly. In addition to the food being good, the service was friendly and nice. Not bad at all. Not sure if we’ll come back since we’re so rarely in Atlanta, but definitely enjoyable while we were here.

Good lawd those pancakes. They are the bomb dot com. I had them for dinner last night, and went back for more this morning. Y’all, I’m serious. They are so good(get them with pecans). My son had the diner burger, and he about lost his mind. Perfection. And, y’all, those skillet potatoes. Holla. If I had the time, money, and room in my stomach, I’d eat everything on that menu. The staff is kind and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in a diner and a cool bar at the same time. Y’all have to try it. You won’t be sorry!

Just tried to have breakfast here but had no luck. Went to the bar and was handed a menu then never spoken to again in the 10 minutes I was there. In no way is this the server/bartender/manager(?) fault as there were 20 people in the restaurant and she was the only one on the floor! Breakfast spots are a dime a dozen and its not like this place just opened and is still working out the kinks. Might want to staff a bit more on a Friday perhaps.

This must be a joke. We paid $ 7 for Disco Fries, Poutined(brown gravy & cheese.) They not only completely forgot about the gravy, but they charge $ 7 for this small amount of potato?! My Canadian relatives would be appalled. Someone should send the owner & cooks from here to Bantam + Biddy so that they can see/taste how great poutine is really done!

Is this a gay bar? I’m not sure if maybe I was hella drunk or everyone around me was gay. Which if so, yay! Because they are fun and fabulous. I came here as mentioned after a day of drinking at the Braves game and then some more at other bars. We ordered the quesadilla and two chicken sandwiches. Maybe it’s the liquor talking but everything was SCRUMPTIOUS. Our server was prompt and personable considering our state and I appreciate that a lot because some workers don’t have patience for tipsy patrons. Super cute place and I highly recommend it. It’s a diner, so clearly a Michelin star restaurant it ain’t. For what it is, I approve!

Recently, I’ve been going to Hi-Five for the restaurant’s weekly Dirty Bingo session. Here’s my feedback on a few different points: Activities: I highly recommend checking out Hi-Five for Dirty Bingo. They host it every Thursday at 8 pm. I’m always a fan of triva, and this is just as fun except you don’t really need to know anything too detailed aside from tv and movie theme songs. Groups/Seating: This place is great for groups with seating both inside and outside. It’s loud but not too loud. Food: While this is only based on one meal, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I ordered the Miso Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The miso dressing and ramen noodle«croutons» gave the kale a great flavor and the grilled chicken was phenomenal. The food was much better than I expected for a «diner». Parking: It’s nice that Hi-Five has a private parking lot. The only downside is that it’s shared with Bezoria and Noodles, so spots can fill up quickly, However, street parking is easy to find, especially on Juniper(free after 6:30 I think). This is a great option for a casual meal or if you want some fun activities!

As an Atlantans more native to the typical brunch places serving Benedict as the go-to Sunday meal, I was a bit skeptical trying a diner out for brunch, but I was blown away! The place has a TON of seating, both inside and out, and the bar has a large opening to outside so you can at inside or outside and still sit at the bar. As for atmosphere, the servers are phenomenally friendly, a great example of Southern hospitality. As for the food, I’ve had a total of one thing on the menu, and it’s so wonderful I’ve returned and plan on continuing returning: the croissant sandwich with scrambled eggs, American cheese, bacon, and avocado. The croissant is perfectly soft but manages to hold everything together. The cheese has always come out fully melted; the bacon has some crisp to it, and they don’t skimp on the avocado(which is the best part.) Though I can’t speak to the rest of the menu, the breakfast sandwich and atmosphere alone definitely merit the 5 stars.

Walked in and was greeted by 2 staff members! So my first reaction was how nice they were! They are not very busy during lunch so if you want attentive service, they will deliver on that. I ordered the Miso Salad which was mainly kale and dry ramen(creative touch!) and a miso dressing. The portion was big. Not what I was expecting for the price. So I was very full at the end of my meal. They have«Dirty Bingo» every Thursday with prizes and I havent tried it yet but I plan on going soon! This was a great find! I work nearby so I may come here for lunch more often.

Randomly came here since I was kind of lazy in picking what I wanted for dinner. Parking — Not bad. They have parking in the front and in the back. I didn’t see the valet folks, so… maybe they got rid of it? I’d also park in the parking garage and hit up Sweet Hut after your meal so they can validate your ticket(2 hours)! But then again, this really depends on how long your meal takes(ordering, cooking, and eating) Space — they have outdoor and indoor seating. They also have an interesting set up for the bar. They have a TV for folks too. My only gripe — wish they’d get something for the flies. Dear Lord. Every 10 seconds I had to swat a fly from my table/chair. Made my mood turn a little sour. Service — So… the girl I had was really inattentive. She was too busy chatting away with her co worker that she failed to pay any attention to our table. We were her ONLY table… ONLY. That alone took away a star. I should also note that the manager(?) was too busy watching the Women’s Soccer Team on the TV that he also didn’t really look around if other tables(besides the bar) needed help. Again — we were the only table. :( Food — Wings — half buffalo and half Korean sauce. I’d pass on this. Unless you want massive wings with ok sauce. Not going to lie — the wings were pretty big. Bigger than your typical ones. But the sauces were not really that great. I think Zaxby’s made better ones. I’m a wing person, so I’ll more than likely order wings if I see them on a menu. Mexican Styled Grilled Chicken Burger with Fries — I think they should redo this burger. Grilled Chicken was super dry. The green salsa tasted bland. The pickles were ok in it. I think they should make the chicken a bit juicier + let the customer have red AND green salsas + use something else(not pickles). The only redeeming thing: Fries. They were pretty good. Crispy and hot.

Hi-Five Diner is located in between Bezoria and Noodle off Peachtree Street. Upon entering with two of my friends for a late brunch, a server told us to grab a seat anywhere. Shortly after, another server brought us menus and took our drink orders. INTERIOR/EXTERIOR This restaurant provides booth, bar, and table seating. There’s a coffee bar and a cocktail bar. Very nice little joint to grab a quick bite. Chill atmosphere. PARKING Valet or metered or street parking FOOD –Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast: this brunch entrée was delicious and light. the avocado toast was so tasty. the avocado was creamy and citrusy. i added smoked salmon and it was perfect. this dish came with a side of light salad and fruits(alot of them were filler fruits like honeydew and cantelopue. meh.) SERVICE Our server was okay. I could tell he was having a bad day, but he pulled through. Answered all questions we had as far as recommending dishes. He checked up on us and refilled our coffee/water.

Hi-Five opened a day or two ago upon the writing of this review. Villains Sandwich Bar was formerly in this space, and Hi-Five is a venture from one of the partners of that place. That means some of the items from the Villains menu — especially its signature cocktails — can be found on the Ho-Five Diner. There isn’t a real diner-style restaurant in this part of MIdtown, and Hi-Five’s late hours, full bar, and patio space(including outdoor bar seating), give it some unique touches as well. I had the Cereal Killer. For $ 4.50, you get unlimited cereal, served in those tiny boxes from the variety packs you may remember as a kid. This, as well as all breakfast items, are served all day and night, and I can definitely picture myself coming back for a cereal fix in the evening sometime soon. I also had a side of bacon, which was more than serviceable. Overall, this new diner is worth trying and has great service. Here’s hoping it sticks around longer than its predecessor!
