Horrible. Just had a dinner with colleagues and we sat for over an hour AFTER we’d already ordered our food. Orders were both, over AND undercooked. Waiter disappeared for another 45 minutes after we received said crappy food. Went to the manager who was clearly out of her depth and unable to 1) account for the problem(horrible management. e. g she is unqualified for the job or lacks proper training) 2) effect a solution(blamed her cook staff who were CLEARLY not responsible for the ineffective management). 2 hours wasted. Overpriced food. Horrible waitstaff. Untrained management. Third rate food. STAYAWAY.

For an elite brand I found lunch to be sub par. The service was slow and inattentive. My water glass remained empty for most of the meal. I ordered my burger rare which half of it was, but the other half was definitely medium. How do you cook the same burger differently across its surface? The lettuce was just an in manageable hunk which ever defied an attack with a knife and fork. I expected better for the money.

…my market fish was super dry. Sides super salty. Overpriced bad food. Bread basket best thing of the meal.

Excelent food. Great service! And the wine? To die for! Perfect way to end the evening: peach desert sampler. We’ll stop there again.

During Dragon*Con weekend, this is my spot to enjoy a nice dinner with friends. It didn’t disapppointed again. My date and I both had the filet migon, and it was extremely yummy along with the other dishes. Overall, the food and atmosphere is amazing! By the way, many of the Dragon*Con celebrities dine at Sear too, so it was great to see few dining that night. Sad to say, my waiter disappeared on me for awhile when I was ready to leave. Thankfully, the manager was great and provided me my bill to enjoy Dragon*Con.

Above average hotel breakfast buffet but what may this breakfast special was the server Dao. She was great! Fas considerate service for a very tired guy. Much needed after three days at Dragon Con! Wish I had stopped here for breakfast or dinner, before. Thank you Dao!

For a menu with few choices, you must do those few items well, and Sear does! Excellent kale salad and twice baked potato.

Food was ok. Service was incredibly slow. Waitress rarely checked with large party. We had 8 people and it took almost 3 hours to be served. Saw some food sitting under the heat lamps for over a half hour. We were seated promptly however.

Well tried to have dinner today here. First we were sat very quickly and they brought water out. From there we waited ten minutes to place a drink order. By the time we finally met the waiter we were ready to order food. I ordered a filter mignon rare. We received our dinner my steak was well done. So I had to send it back. By the time my replacement steak showed up my wife was done with dinner for ten minutes. I told them I did not want the steak and paid for dinner. I will not go there again.

9:00 am on a Thursday 4 other tables in the room and it took over a hour for them to make a single waffle and 3egg omelet and then when the waffle came out it was cold. Our watier told the host to take our order because she didn’t have the time. —__– unprofessional. Also when walking in the host was not at the station and took 10min to seat us it’s not even crowded. I wasn’t even hungry anymore after the experience 2 tables walked out because of the lack of service. Never again.

Good, fast service! I was able to get in and out with breakfast in 20 minutes. I really appreciate that they worked with my time crunch. Breakfast was good and cooked to order. Typical hotel pricing $ 14 for 2 hardboiled eggs with bacon and a Coke — to be expected though. The only issue was the dark atmosphere, but I think they were striving for a darker, city type feel. The feel probably works for dinner but is a little squelching for breakfast. Service was friendly and excellent.

This restaurant is playing in the big leagues with its prices. However, I found my experience to be delightful. Ambiance: The interior is contemporary and fun. Acoustics are a little bright, but not annoying. Seating is comfortable. There is a bar area and display kitchen. The colors and materials are modern and what one might expect in an upscale urban eatery. Service: I was immediately greeted and seated without reservation. My servers and bus staff were genuinely concerned for my satisfaction, attentive and courteous. Food: I ordered the wedge salad, an 8oz filet, macaroni and cheese and a glass of Malbec. The salad was delicious with its fried local onion topping and the macaroni was excellent. My steak was cooked exactly as described and was very tasty. All things considered, I would come back here again and bring friends next time.

I go here once a year when I am at Dragon Con. All other steaks are ruined for me. Best steak I have had in my life, every year. It’s pricy, sure, but so worth it. The sides are big enough to share between three or four people, the wait staff is always friendly.

The food was alright, but if you’re going to plate meatloaf for $ 24 and soup for $ 10 — the service should reflect that. The server never checked on us outside of delivery. not to mention we were just trying to order two more of their $ 6 bottles of beer. The place appears nice, is priced top tier — but they’re just going through the motions here. Find another place in town worth your dollar.

The breakfast buffet was really good! Had almost every breakfast item you could think of… even cheese blintzes! Which I love but never find anywhere. Regular-menu breakfast is also good and you seem to get a lot of food. It is definitely a bit pricey though. Never tried their dinner.

You’d think coming to an in-hotel supposed luxury steakhouse during a gigantic nerd convention with nearly 60,000 people present would set the stage for some kind of catastrophic nightmare dining experience, right? So color me pleasantly surprised when a steak at Sear ended up being easily the best meal of a Dragon*Con experience! I’ll be honest, I’d never had the compulsion to come to Sear before. In all prior Dragon*Cons, or even when I used to work for SunTrust, I never had any inclination to visit Sear before. If I wanted a good steak, I could probably rely on myself to cook it up better at home, or there was Morton’s a hop skip and a jump outside the Marriott. But present company suggested we go to Sear, and considering they had very minimal wait compared to the adjacent High Velocity(which kind of stinks), Sear it would be. Now if you can ignore the occasional Pikachu and She-Ra waltzing around to and from their own tables, Sear does a pretty convincing impression of a luxurious steakhouse. Lush with faux-elegance on account of Marriott money, the place is spacious, mood-lit, with tablecloths and cloth napkins to complete the experience they’re trying to sell to justify $ 30+ a la carte entrees. Service was solid, and there was little complaints, except some delay on bringing out some potatoes, but considering the poor service everywhere else on account of 60,000 people pelting every place with business, it was pretty good in comparison. I ordered a ribeye steak, and it was served to me on an iron platter, which delighted me. The fact that on the menu, they took the time to define the levels of done-ness of steak(in spite of the fact that anything higher than medium is asinine IMO), it kind of gave me faith that the chefs were going to know how to cook them. And it turned out to be pretty much perfect. I said medium-rare, and I got a pretty perfectly medium-rare steak. Nicely seared on the outside, and right at that perfect blend of pink to red in the center. Juicy, extremely flavorful, and I ate way more of the fatty and gristle parts than I probably should have, it was that good. Not be ignored was the twice-baked sour cream potato I ordered as a side. A tasty skin on account of being baked twice, but then the potato itself is creamy and has zero necessity for any added salt, pepper or additional butter. It was also kind of absurdly large, and somewhat of a joke for it to be eaten on top of 20 ounces of succulent ribeye. Meals for just about everyone was around roughly $ 35 – 45 a person at my party. I’d say that the fact that we didn’t have to wait nearly as long as we would have anywhere else within walking distance makes the cost completely worth it, but frankly, for the quality of the food that I had gotten, it wasn’t a big deal. I’m not going to pretend like it’s nothing, but the occasional splurge is totally worth it when the resulting food is outstanding. Without question, it was the best meal I had during a four-day convention weekend, and my friends and I have decided that it’s worth making an annual thing for every Dragon*Con in the future. And for those of us local, a definite option if the want for a fancy steak dinner ever arises.

Went to sear for lunch. Empty restaurant, should’ve listened to my gut. Ordered steak and bleu cheese salad. Not worth $ 18. Low quality beef? Bleu cheese dressing AND raspberry vinaigrette? Or was that major juice from the few bleu cheese crumbles? Wouldn’t order again if they dropped the price to $ 0. On the other hand, our waitress was super sweet. 5 stars for her. 0 stars for still being hungry.

Good G*d, salt your grits while they cook… Who in the verve doesn’t cook their grits in salted liquid??? Apparently, Sear. Gah. Seriously? If I’m splurging on cheese grits, I’d like them to taste like something, thanks… the butter wouldn’t separate as quickly, either… double bonus!!! Or in this case, two strikes. So…the wait was understandable, given A-mart hours, but service was unbelievably slow /absent(like, as in «I wish I re-directed the a-holes at my table ordering«Market value» or always nonspecific special options, so I could just ballpark bill, spit ball tip, cover in cash, and not wind up wasting hours of my life waiting, after meal, for any sort of response. Clients. SMH. Ugh.). They seem to have a fair number of runners, table busers, hosts, managers, and folks just randomly walking around observing… but not remotely enough servers. Hand on the bible, it literally took as long for our plates to be cleared after desert and to receive /pay check as it took for the entire other part of our meal. Including the wait before being seated. Yeah… My dining companion kept trying to get the hostess and /or manager to deal with us so we could get out of there earlier… didn’t work. One of my clients put his head down on the table. Really. Head on the table. Like a 2nd grader. Server was covering a fairly large amount of territory, unfortunately she had little to no support… which made for annoyed customers and cranky staff, IMHO. Ye goes there, ye sticks around ’til the evening’s end, I guess. *****double head boulder***** Know nothing about buffets, breakfasts, or lunches.
