We ordered the Malt vinegar and salt homemade chips with dip and it was great! service was definitely lacking personality or we would probably have given this place more stars. On top of that they charge $ 13 for a single liquor and it’s not even top shelf… On to the next one

I suppose if you’re staying at the Hyatt, Twenty-Two Storys could serve as an adequate bar. However, it didn’t for me. ***** I. SERVICE I’m fairly patient, a generous tipper, and have even excused racial epithets towards me because… well… I got my drink on time. So yeah, I’d like to think I’m pretty easy going. But when I’m waiting at a bar and the bartender literally looks at me and then decides to walk away(without saying anything) to serve two people that sat at the bar AFTER me, I find that incredibly rude. Still in need of a couple drinks, though, I went to the other side of the bar. The bartender there, while understandably talking to two other patrons, put his finger up and silently shushed me like a child. All right. Fine. Whatever. I’ll wait. I understand. Y’all hate your lives. Got it. Later, I was able to ask for a vodka cranberry and an old fashioned. He made the vodka cranberry first, someone else’s drink second, then the old fashioned third. Considering that Twenty-Two Storys was fairly empty, the time it took from standing at the bar to actually receiving my drinks took about 20 – 25 minutes. That’s a bit ridiculous. I don’t understand the order of operations, either. A server, then, had the nerve to tell my friend we should’ve sat down to be served instead of me. Well, maybe if there was a host to greet people and communicate this information, then this wouldn’t be an issue. I didn’t know that I couldn’t ask for a drink at the bar, when five others were doing so. II. DRINKS They have a pretty limited menu of spirits, but solid lists reds, whites, and beers. The two drinks I ordered were fine, but nothing more. III. AMBIENCE/DECOR It’s swanky, but not to the point of corny. There’s a main bar, a few booths, and plenty of high top tables. Spacious for groups of four or fewer. IV. PRICES Each of the drinks were $ 10 plus tax. I tipped a buck(even though the service was terrible), and everything came out to $ 21.26. V. OVERALL Consider going somewhere else(like upstairs at Polaris) when spending your hard-earned cash. I don’t often expect bartenders to ever be nice, but I do ask for them to acknowledge me as a human and serve me drinks within a reasonable span of time. The supposed convenience of getting a drink at Twenty-Two Story’s is not worth it.

Typical convention hotel bar for the most part. Drinks are a little overpriced — expected. It’s generally going to be loud and crowded with guys from the SNL Bill Brasky sketch. Deal with it. On the plus side, there is plenty of seating and a good amount is a bit outside the actual bar area which is nice if you actually want to hear a conversation. On the minus side, the bar itself was really sticky and there were lots of fruit flies so I think things need a good scrubbing. «Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky took me out to go get a drink with him? We go off looking for a bar and we can’t find one. Finally, Brasky takes me into a vacant lot and says, ‘Here we are.’ Well, we sat there for a year and a half. Sure enough, someone constructed a bar around us. Well, the day they opened it, we ordered a shot, drank it, and then burnt the place to the ground. Brasky yelled over the roar of the flames, ‘Always leave things the way you found them!»

Friendly staff, but overpriced drinks & not really much of a sports bar; High Velocity in the Marriott only a few hundred yards away has better-priced excellent craft beer, food, more & better TVs, and sports TV savvy staff.

Your basic hotel bar. The drinks were pricy and the service so so. Seems that a lot of hotel bars are too reliant on the fact that they have a captive audience in their guests and so the bar staff don’t feel they need to provide that same level of service and engagement you get at an actual bar. This definitely seemed the case here.

Stopped and ate here on Thursday of DragonCon. Ordered the quesadilla and shrimp po-boy. The food was pretty good. We enjoyed the atmosphere and people watching. The service was very friendly and attentive. Great little place for drinks and a snack.

I had dinner here the other night while staying at the Hyatt and it was very good. The menu on their website was not the same offered, which was a little frustrating, as both things I had looked forward to having we’re no longer on the new menu. I had the chicken and goat cheese panini, which was very good. It was a little on the salty side, but it was tasty and the fries were very good. I had one of their signature cocktails as well, which was delicious. The atmosphere was fun and the wait staff was as attentive as they could be with a crowded bar filled with thirsty conference attendees. It was a great experience, especially since I didn’t have to leave the hotel!

Stopped in from NY for a couple of days. Wine was little expensive for GA, but the selection was decent. Watched the game, quiet, bar stools were uncomfortable half back… Ordered the nachos, which were recommended by waitress… very large portion, drops of artificial cheese, beans no flavor, the combination was not good. returned them immediately. Management offered a replacement… Would not eat here… My fault should have went to a local spot first…

I was staying at the Hyatt so naturally, I ventured to the middle of the lobby for a glass of wine. Yes. The bar is in the open. In the lobby. But I digress. Despite the fact that there were a lot of folks there at 11:30 pm, I was greeted promptly and served a great glass of wine. I’d only go back if I were staying in the hotel.

Staying at Hyatt Regency for business trip and been flying all day– I was staaaaaarving! Desperately needed something to eat before next business function and girl at café told me I could order food to go at bar. Really wanted salmon but didn’t see any on the menu. I should have asked. :/Saw seared scallops which sounded interesting. Waitstaff was fast and friendly. Order came out pretty quickly. Serving size is super small — 3 large scallops on top of maybe ¼ c of barley and some sprouts sprinkled on top. Don’t get me wrong — scallops were really good. Just thought it would be a larger portion. Overall the place is a nice open space to watch football and chill with a drink.

First experience last night at this bar/restaurant and I’ll say that I was not disappointed! The atmosphere was that of a «low-key» bar, located in the corner of the main lobby of the Hyatt Regency. They stayed pretty busy, with a steady flow of folks both coming to eat dinner, and stopping by for a drink before heading out for their evening plans. As for a review if the overall experience, I give it 4 stars. The food was good, the service was great, and the location was ideal for both eating dinner as well as stopping for a drink before your evening plans.

Twenty-Two Storys is a lovely bar/restaurant in the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Lucky for me, it was open all of the times I needed it! The bar is pretty large and the bartenders respond quickly. I had a few drinks at the bar, are wonderfully made. I ate dinner once. They did not have any vegetarian options for meals, so I had to go with the appetizer quesadilla, hold the chicken. It was yummy, but they didn’t charge any less for removing the chicken. Even though the place is a little upscale and classy, the female servers were wearing booty shorts, like I’m talking more like boy shorts’ style underwear. Sort of made me feel a little trashy. All in all, it wasn’t a bad place to grab a drink or a bite, but it wouldn’t be my first choice if there were other options.

After a late-evening flight from NY, I didn’t have the energy to venture out of the hotel, so I placed my trust in the Hyatt brand and plopped down at the lobby bar. On a Monday night, it was boisterous, with good old boys toasting the night away in front of the many TV screens blasting sports. It took a while to get the busy servers’ attention, but it happened. The beer selection was very good, with locals from Sweetwater and others. I tried a Terrapin Hopsecutioner, a respectable hoppy IPA. Food didn’t go as smoothly. I ordered a blackened gulf shrimp po’boy, which was totally delicious… when it finally arrived, an hour and a half after I ordered. The bartender was genuinely apologetic realizing that he never put it the order and offered to buy me a round while I waited, but it was already past 11 pm. I had to get up for work early in the AM and didn’t need to be more blasted on an empty stomach. He was all class and took the original drink off the bill. Still, I wasted about two hours of my life when I was really hungry and tired, so I can’t quite bump this place to the four stars it probably deserves on most night. First world problems you say? Perhaps.

It doesn’t have the swank atmosphere of the bar at Park 75 in midtown, but unlike that excellent hotel bar, this one is located in the main lobby of the Hyatt Regency and is usually abuzz with out of town guests and convention-goers. Seating at the bar is ample and quite comfortable, and service is good, if a little on the slow side during the busiest times. Still, it’s a decent meeting place and prices are reasonable. Try the Southern Belle, a lovely concoction of Jack Daniels, peach purée and lemon, before hitting the downtown hot spots.

What can you say about a hotel bar in the lobby? I usually relegate its patrons to a class of people who are unwilling to venture beyond the boundaries of the hotel walls, or even sexually frustrated travelers who make eyes at the equally frustrated traveler across the bar in the hopes that they may make a few bad decisions. In my case, it was just a guy who didn’t want to shut it down towards the end of the night, and had to stop in for One More Drink. Twenty-Two Storys is a chill, laid-back place for chill, laid-back patrons. They have a surprisingly good beer selection, as well as the Greatest Hits of Liquor on the bar. I didn’t get to look over the menu, but the surrounding patrons seemed to be ordering dinner fairly regularly. Everyone was very polite and professional. Alcohol costs were typical. Afterwards I got in the Time Machine and went to my room. What else do you need? Don’t answer that…

/Post Dragon-Con Review / I happened to arrive at the hotel at the end of Dragon-Con. Unfortunately, my review will have to reflect this because it the level of service for bars and restaurants should be consistant irrelevant of planned events(conventions, concerts, etc). I can’t ever blame someone for unplanned events(fires, theft, etc). True to it’s name, if you ask 10 people what they think about this establishment, you’ll get«Twenty-Two Storys»(poorly misnamed! S-T-O-R-I-E-S) I was served scotch in a plastic cup. I’m not in college and haven’t been for many years. There is NO reason to be drinking ANY scotch or liquor at a bar from a plastic cup. Their reason? They ran out of glasses due to Dragon-Con. I lean on saying«no excuse». Management failure? I think so. The price for the JW Black Label was $ 12.50. Not that I haven’t seen that price for Black, but the service in the plastic cup really didn’t make me feel good paying it. They have an «acceptable» beer selection. Much more than other bars I’ve been to in South Florida(my home stomping ground). No complains from me there. The staff was rather inattentive to all the patron’s needs. It was either because they were spent or just not keen on service. Either way, you shouldn’t work your employees to the bone. I ordered a «Build Your Own Burger». I can’t really remember all the parts I ordered, but it was very good for $ 12. No complains from me for that. The dessert, well, that was lousy. The molten lava cake was tiny and the ice cream«scoop» was rather miserable for $ 5. Pass. Bottom Line: Skip it unless you get trapped in the hotel. The other restaurant was stupidly high priced for nothing special. Between the two options, this was the«better» choice.
