Parasol Bar

Geesh. Unilocal has been nagging me for months to write a review of Parasol Bar because I uploaded a picture of it once. Somehow it has never been reviewed. How the hell did that happen?
Sadly, the place is closed. The Hyatt has been remodeling their lobby for ages. I’m not sure if they will restore it, but when I was in the new bar Twenty-​Two Stories, it did not look like Parasol would come back.
So why am I writing a review? To get rid of the Unilocal algorithm guilt. I’ve stopped in on an occasion or two to get a quick something to drink, but since Pulse was so nearby, I’ve never stayed long enough to really form an opinion.
The namesake Parasol thingy was a bunch of wires or pipes or something that looked like a giant umbrella that had been blown out in the wind. And a bar surrounded it at the base. But the parasol part was so high up, it wasn’t really noticeable. And the bathrooms are hard to find. Currently, you have to go down a lobby level, to the convention floor area, which is sad and lonely after 5pm, unless a crazy convention is going on.
