The sweet tea is light, crisp, and refreshing! The deviled eggs with crab are so good. The fried chicken is a classic dish here and the concept of the restaurant is phenomenal. The staff are all relatable and pleasant. We had a blast here. The ambience is not too loud and not quiet at all since the restaurant itself is in a hotel lobby. Still, if you’re staying in this hotel, stop by. You even have the option to put the bill on your room.

Waitress Antoinette, I believe was awesome! Ordered the ribeye and it was very good, only disappointed by the small size and the drinks seemed kinda watered down

Food and staff were awesome. I don’t even like deviled eggs but i would go back there just to try them again. Also the pie was excellent. Of the several restaurants I went to while visiting Atlanta this was probably my favorite. Met all of my expectations and maybe a little more. Its what I would’ve hoped the quality of food at White Oak would’ve been. Somewhere between a 4.5 and 5 star in my opinion.

I have been in Atlanta all week staying at the Hyatt and instead of venturing out for dinner I have come to Sway every day. You know why? Because it is awesome. The staff is friendly and the food is terrific. If I wasn’t leaving tomorrow I’d come back again! Steak is awesome. Fried chicken is awesome. Crab deviled eggs are awesome. Scallops are awesome. I’m sure whatever else you order will be awesome too.

Breakfast was okay. Definitely a solid choice(purely for ambiance and location) if you’re staying in the Hyatt but really take it or leave it. Had the«Southern» breakfast sandwich which was okay but just like something I could get in LA. In other words, it was pretty competent and inoffensive hotel food. Not a good place for a quick grab-and-go. I was late to my convention meeting, alas. I think I would have liked it more as a leisurely destination, but my suit and convention name badge didn’t really affect the service I got from here at all. Beautiful location.

There was a lot to like about our visit but also a lot that left me feeling a little lacking. The crab dip was amazing, filled with way more crab than filler and accompanied by some great homemade crackers. However the bacon deviled eggs were just a basic deviled egg with a tiny piece of bacon stuck in it. Seems like a $ 5 price tag for the egg warranted a little more inventiveness. The fried chicken was good but at 25 bucks I expected chicken nirvana not just good. The dark meat was flavorful and juicy but the breast was a little dry. Mashed potatoes and gravy were very good. The wife had the shrimp and grits which were okay. I like a bigger shrimp with more flavor and also prefer creamier grits. The highlights of the meal were our server Antoinette who was fun and amazing and some of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The house gathered honey influenced several desserts including the pecan pie which was amazing! The peach lattice pie was also some of the best I’ve eaten. Add to that the little bucket of the best vanilla ice cream this side of mars and the dessert pie was a 10+.

The shrimp and grits was AMAZING. This is kinda a hidden gem because it’s inside of the Hyatt but wow everything was delicious and service was phenomenal. The chocolate mousse desert was one of the best I’ve ever had!

This is one of the nicest places to have breakfast in downtown Atlanta. The staff and service were so friendly. We were never left unattended even in the rush. I wish I really I could add more but I only had a simple breakfast of two eggs expertly fried, home fries that were great, and truly fresh fruit. I would have ordered more but I got too full up on corn muffins and biscuits. Plus T never finishes her pancake, which was also excellent.

Oh my God! I accidentally dropped in Sway to get some drink to go, but I met my old friend Jon from college and we just had to take a few minutes to chat, so we found a free table and make an order. I must say, it was phenomenal! The menu is great, the staff is very polite, friendly and attentive and the ambiance is more than relaxing! I absolutely fell in love with this restaurant! I cannot wait for coming back there!

Despite being in the lobby of the fancy Hyatt Regency, Sway is a surprisingly casual restaurant that offers a nice high-end southern cuisine. The restaurant has an elegant ambiance that is yet not pretentious to make me feel bad for walking in with jeans. If you are looking for an elegant southern cuisine meal without the stress of going to a high-ended restaurant, Sway is it! My choice of shrimp and grits($ 20 for full portion) was perhaps one of the best I had. Arriving in a hot ceramic pot, the grit came with not only a healthy dose of gravy but also with a generous amount of shrimp and sausage. Rather than having either the sausage or the shrimp stand out in taste or texture, all three components of the dish played together well like a well-collaborated symphony with each of their own characteristics and yet in harmony. Even though shrimp and grits is a common southern dishes found anywhere, Sway’s definitely stands out to me. Aside from this classic, the menu includes other classic as well as contemporary southern dishes. Next time I am in Atlanta, I’m going for the buttermilk-fried chicken, but until then I can only dream of the delicious shrimp and grits I had. Especially if you are exploring or staying in downtown Atlanta, definitely try to get a meal at this terrific southern restaurant! — tl;dr version: 1) Elegant yet unpretentious southern restaurant 2) Classic and contemporary southern dishes on menu 3) Stellar shrimp and grits

My friend was staying at the Hyatt for a conference so we decided to meet at this restaurant. The service was amazing and I really liked the ambiance. From our table, you could see the beautiful elevators and the many people walking into the hotel. As far as food goes, I feel like they had a good selection of classic Southern dishes. I was also impressed with the selection of healthy dishes available on the menu. I didnt order any of the healthy dishes but it was nice to know that they were available. I ordered the shrimp and grits without sausage. I felt like the grits and the sauce that was on top was not seasoned well and lacked flavor. I ended up eating the shrimp and leaving most of the grits behind. I also ordered a side of mac n’ cheese which was delicious. I unfortunately didnt save room for dessert but they have this amazing pie bar for just $ 9! UNLIMITEDPIE and ICECREAM for $ 9. I will definitely have to go back when I am hungry.

Surprisingly, really good for hotel food. I stopped in for eats before a conference — because I’m a dumbass I still had my phone on Central time and thought it was 10am vs 11am. In any case, they were clearing up the breakfast buffet and from what I saw it’s a huge spread. So check that out if you can tell time better than me. The lunch menu is on the smaller side, but has all of the standards — salads, a few sandwiches and the ability to customize your own dish. I went with the Apple quinoa salad and honestly, it’s one of the best salads I’ve had in a while. The apples were fresh, there were some lovely diced golden beets and pumpkin seeds and chunks of the most delicious local cheese(like a brie). They tout«farm to table» which frankly, is overused these days, but the ingredients did taste fresh and high quality. Prices are on the higher side which is to be expected from a convention hotel in downtown Atlanta. Service was fast and friendly. Normally, I avoid hotel restaurants but this one is worth checking out.

My husband and I received complimentary breakfast buffets from the Hyatt due to their concierge level being closed, so we decided to check out Sway. My mother met us at the hotel on Christmas Eve morning and the three of us enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. My mother ordered an egg white omelet with spinach, mushrooms and scallions. She loved it, and I have to agree – I tried a bite and it was delicious. My husband and I both opted for the buffet since it was complimentary, and we were both thoroughly impressed. It is definitely one of, if not the best, hotel breakfast buffet I have ever experienced. They had everything you could possibly want: bacon, grits(with cheese to top them with), chicken sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, eggs, croissants, danishes, fresh fruit, granola, deli meats and cheese… I could go on. Everything we tried was so yummy! Also, they had authentic bagels! I’m a bagel girl – give me a bagel and cream cheese for any meal of the day and I’m good to go, so I was ecstatic when I saw that the bagels(rather than being round pieces of doughy bread) were real deal, boiled, chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside bagels! If you are thinking about having breakfast at Sway, definitely go check it out!

Located just inside the Hyatt hotel. I stopped in specifically for the Shrimp & Grits today. They arrived piping hot in a beautiful large white ceramic bowl packed with tasty flavors of spice, succulent shrimp, peppers and 2 perfectly poached eggs. Sausage isn’t my thing so I 86’d it for extra shrimp. This dish was also accompanied by 2 cute little hot butter biscuits. Bliss in a bowl. Do yourself a favor and order it. So plentiful I took half in a doggie bag. Oh I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how pleasantly sweet my waitress, Jossie was during my dining experience. Sway is the way, ~Christy

Visited Sway after going to watch the Hawks at Philips Arena, its a quick skip and a hop. I don’t really like eating in restaurants in Hotels but this place is different. The fried chicken is on the 2013 Atlanta Convention and visitors bureau signature 100 dishes list, so I had to get it. It’s my 53rd off the list so far and its pretty awesome. I think my favorite in the city is still Poor Calvin’s. I can’t decide if this place or watershed comes in second, but it’s up there. It’s cooked to perfection and comes with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy that were also really good. The service was phenomenal and we also hit the desert bar after. Get the pecan pie!

My last breakfast in Atlanta on this trip. Sway is located in the Hyatt hotel. As you enter the hotel it’s on the left, you can’t miss it. I had the Georgia White Shrimp ‘N Grits. They describe this dish as «Georgia white shrimp, Andouille sausage, Logan Turnpike stone ground grits and two poached eggs». This was a wonderful breakfast. The shrimp were small but there was a lot of it and they were cooked perfectly. The andouille provided some heat and flavor. The grits were very creamy. Once I broke the poached eggs, the yoke spread and added another layer of flavor and creaminess. So Good! It was a very hearty meal. It’s a perfect way to start your day! Service was friendly and cordial. Price is on the high side, but definitely worth it. I discovered I like Southern food and I really like Grits. Breakfast won’t be the same when I go back to California, I might have to learn how to cook it myself. LOL. 2015 Review #138
