I went to iLounge on a Friday night to celebrate the founding of my company. I brought a group of about 15 people, we purchased two sections and bottles. THESERVICE We arrived after 11PM(Because who in the heck arrives before that time when you have a section? Nobody!). We walk in ready to party and we were met with nothing but confusion and changed information. First the promoter didn’t have the section ready. Someone was actually sitting in it. When we sat down nothing was brought to us. I had to ask several times for the hookah that comes with the section. The promotor said it didn’t come with the section, and told me that if we had been here early than everything would have been setup. He said since we came late, nothing was setup and the hookahs are now $ 30. Each time we ordered anything, the waitress would immediately ask us for payment. I mean EVERYTIME. She treated us as if we didn’t have any money and would walk out without paying. This was a slap in the face and many people in party took great offense to it. We literally had to break from dancing and relaxing to speak with a bill collector. Each time she came we tipped her 20% hoping she’d see that we will pay her. Making matters worse, she kept the change from a $ 100 bill for a $ 30 hookah. THEVENUE The lounge is basically a hallway with couches along the wall. The black lights were a nice touch. The bar is beautiful. This is a nice venue for a few happy hour drinks, but I absolutely don’t recommend it for any event that involves standing or mingling. They have these clever tables with a built in hole for the hookah(so nobody drunk will knock it over). Unfortunately, the tables are tough to come behind from when you have people in the booth. the tables seem cool as an idea, but in reality they are a pain in the butt if you’re wearing heels or say«That’s my jam!» And want to dance. Lastly, the house DJ is horrible. I’ve heard better mixes on a cruise ship. The DJ is one of those who actually plays the entire song.(Face palm). Don’t come here expecting to hear Top 40. You will hear all Atlanta Trap music with random«put you to sleep songs» and a set of reggae that’s 15+ years old. He did not mix, match tempos, nothing! The club would have been better off paying Spotify $ 9.99 The bathroom was nice and clean. MYRECOMMENDATIONS This place is great if you: — only bring 3 – 8 people — only want to sit and not dance — don’t purchase a section — plan to cash out after every single drink — don’t expect great service — are ok with them only having on server on duty — wear a little white so you can glow — bring a good group of friends. Great friends have fun anywhere!

Cute little spot. Not to large small enough to enjoy your company and meet new ppl and be social. Bathroom was Immaculate(Well the women’s) Really extremely happy about that. Also they have an outside patio in the back to hang out and socialize some more and patron watch at the neighborhood venues. Waitress was cute and friendly, no cover charge Thurs night. Will def be hanging out again. Maybe a cute venue to celebrate my bday! Cool area.

Loved the spot. Great staff and ppl there and around it. No food there but there’s a pizzeria next door. Smoke hookah, drink liquor, chug beers & party with your peers til 3am

It cost $ 5.00 to enter when I went on a Saturday night. The venue in itself appears nice at least in the dark. I love that it’s a lounge that you can actually sit at. The hookah was overpriced at $ 30.00. They didn’t allow us to mix flavors and don’t refill your coal unless you buy an entire hookah. The metal tent thingys(excuse my ignorance) that they set on top of the coal do help the tobacco to hit harder. Our particular server was staffing the entire lounge so I literally had to grab her at times to get my drink refilled. The whipped vodka shots were only$ 5.00 so can’t complain there. The MC was sorta animated and chatty for my taste but very nice at the same time to the customers. The DJ was swaaaeeet and the music videos were a nice touch. Parking can get a bit tricky but that’s city life for you.

Don’t not go here!!! Advertised $ 30 for hookah and 2 drinks. They gave us a hookah with tape on it and did not work! Server tried to charge extra saying that the special was per person which was not specified on the the menu. When I asked for a manager they sent a waiter who tried to make us pay yet she would not give us a receipt. Asked to speak to a manager or owner which they claimed was not present but he came out later when I left and my friend stayed. Would give a rating of zero but Unilocal won’t let me.

Well. I’m gonna base this review off of the two times that I’ve been. Very, very small venue but great DJ and overall great atmosphere. First time was for a private birthday party. Even though parking is usually at a premium on Glenwood I’m always lucky enough to nab a spot. Smooth, seamless entry into the establishment. Fun times with friends. No problemo. Second time? Not so much. Went last night for a surprise engagement party. Told the guy at the door I was there for the private party(we’re the ONLY ones there). Guy charges me $ 7 for entry. Fine. One less drink I’ll purchase at the bar. There is one bartender on duty this night for the entire crowd. Well, actually there were THREE, but only one was actually working. Needless to say it was like pulling teeth to get a glass of wine. When the other 2 finally decided to join the fun I asked the guy bartender what he recommended and he scoffed at me, cool. No more drinks for me. By now I’m totally turned off and ready to leave but I want to see my friends get engaged so I stick it out. The DJ was the only good thing about this night and I have no plans to return to this establishment. Would have only received one star if my first experience here was not what it was.

I’m a huge fan of SNL as of late and one of my favorite characters is Stefon. Stefon is a city correspondent for the weekend update played by Bill Hader, and gives advice on local places that are totally inappropriate for Seth Meyers’ demographic. So thats a little of what ilounge was like to me. We happened to come here on NYE after all other bars had closed and a few friends wanted to keep the party going(I’d started yawning at that point, but w/e) I think my experience was a little different since it was on a holiday($ 30 at the door and $ 10 drinks). It had everything… ed hardy/affliction t shirts, skimpy dresses, heels, hookahs, Persian people, the tongue and groove crowd, 90s music videos, strobe lights, EDM/trance, 1 bathroom, general lawlessness… So fascinating. Sat at a booth for a while, then some pornstar/strippers sat next to us and started making out. still fascinating. So I guess i’ll have to go back on a regular night to see what it’s really like since I hear its open late. Thanks for the ridiculous NYE people watching until 4 or 5 am.

Pretty cool spot– a diverse crowd with diverse nights, and in a cool neighborhood, so you can check out a few spots in one evening. Parking on the street can usually be managed. The staff is friendly. The tunes and video feeds are cool. The décor is retro modern, kinda cool but could probably use an update. Cover is sometimes a little steep, but bear in mind that the $ is going to the entertainer for the evening. Its a cool place worth checking out, esp if you like the band or DJ playing.

I must admit I had a good time when I went to this place. However, this place is very small. $ 7 to enter and $ 30 for the hookah that must be paid upfront. Luckly my friends and I went at a perfect time and was able to get a table. There isn’t a dance floor so if you are looking to dance this may not be the place.

Do not go here! I’m usually really hesitant about posting negative comments about businesses because I do realize that there are so many circumstances and situations that cause a night to go bad. With that being said I was totally disgusted by what went on at this place. First off they advertised a $ 30 special in which you got a hookah and 2 drinks. My friend and I ordered the special at the bar and were offered no additional information by the bartender. When we sat down they gave us a hookah with tape on the top which did not work. The server then tried to charge us extra saying the special was per person which was not specified on the menu. When I asked why I was told to calm down and stop being«loud» which I was not. I asked to speak to a manager or owner which they claimed was not present yet he came out after I left and spoke to a friend who stayed. While outside out server walked past and asked a guy I had met why he was outside with busted trash when«bad chicks» were inside. It took everything in me not to say something. Why was she taking it personally? Maybe because I was not the first to complain or she was just in a bad mood. After all that the owner apologized to my friend and offered free drinks and hookah for next time we were there which there will not be. I am disappointed because I had heard great things about this spot.

iLounge was great! The spot is small but it worked great for me to celebrate my birthday. My reserved section was waiting on me when I arrived! I had never done hookah before so this was a great place to try it out. The place is well ventilated so it did not smell like smoke in the place. Nor did I smell like it when I left. The Red Velvet tobacco was awesome. They tell you the hookah last for about 25 – 30 mins but ours lasted for what felt like a hour and a half and we had like four hose. The guy Chris I reserved my area with was there and was constantly making sure I was having a good time. My only critique would be the live artist they had performing that night. Not my cup of tea but hey artist have to have outlets to showcase their talents so hats off the iLounge for giving people the platform. The DJ played good music otherwise!!! Check them out! Good Hookah at a great price!!!

Don’t come to this place if you are expecting a huge megaplex with a large dancefloor and 2 – 3 bars spread out over the floor with hundreds of waitresses waiting to take your money. This is a lounge(like the name says) and it’s one of my favs at the moment. I like the lay out of this spot and thd DJ spins some really good hits(old & current). I’ve been when it’s kind of dead and i’ve been when it was completely packed and have not been disappointed. It’s a great place to throw a party, too. They have amazing drink prices(which is almost unheard of) and the bartender doesn’t give you a watered down version of the drink you really requested. I love this place! Check it out!

Reasons I loved iLounge: Amazing hookah at $ 20 a pop $ 5 cover for damn good hip hop music to groove to Black lights made things glow Prince music videos playing on widescreens No dress code People danced, yes actually danced, no lame two stepping You get to dance in your own table area It was easy to get your own table The seats are cushioned People don’t judge you for dancing however you want Great atmosphere Things they could improve on: Charge $ 5 for an additional charcoal for the hookah, instead of $ 15 for a brand new hookah Better furniture I don’t see what’s not to like about the place.

its a bar with hookahs, flat screens, and 90’s ultra modern design. if you’re into places that promote themselves with the tagline«only for the grown and sexy™», this is the hip new hang out spot for you. if you must, i suggest you visit before it gets too crusty(about a year from date of review) i fear for EAV.

The reason there are 2 businesses under one roof is because originally it was a partnership with Village Smoke that didn’t work out. Richard S is a former employee of both Village Smoke and iLounge.

Well they do not wash the dishes with anything but soapy water. I saw them doing this and that is just gross! Only get the bottled beer or risk getting someones mouth herpes !

so thankful there is ONE smoke free bar in EAV! aside from hookahs(which i dont mind at all) its smokeless on the inside. you can smoke on the patio., which is very tastefully done i may add. they have great bartenders and sell my favorite beer. The patrons are diverse and chill. this is my new favorite place to be in the neighborhood.
