I have always had a soft spot for Little Caesars, which I have only now realized is in fact plural and not possessive. Weird. It was my favorite fast food pizza place growing up in Marietta. I found Pizza Hut tolerable and have always hated Domino’s but craved Little Caesars. When Papa Johns expanded into Atlanta in the 90s, the number of Little Caesars diminished. One of the last holdouts was the one in the two level K-Mart that used to be on Piedmont and Sidney Marcus, but when they tore up that entire shopping center and replaced it with Best Buy, Target et al, not to mention moving The Home Depot that was there about 100 yards closer to Piedmont, the last Little Caesars around was gone. In the past few years, many Little Caesars franchises have popped up though, and finally I saw one open about a mile from where I live. Now that I live too far away from Antico to have it every time I think about it(which is almost constantly), I have had to scavenge around in the cold north of Sandy Springs to satisfy my pizza needs. Nothing around was suitable until my source for Crazy Bread returned. The best part about them is their Crazy Bread. I just cannot get enough of the stuff. Covered in butter, garlic and Parmesan cheese, it is incredibly delicious. Now they even have a buttery garlic dipping sauce which makes it that much better, and of course that much worse for me. As Dr. Nick Riviera would say, «remember, if you’re not sure about something, rub it against a piece of paper. If the paper turns clear, it’s your window to weight gain.» If the bag of Crazy Bread is not turning clear by the time I get home I am disappointed. Aside from the bread, you can get a large cheese or pepperoni for $ 5. They call this concept the Hot-N-Ready, which coincidentally is also one of my pet names for Ivan’s mom(I make sure to save some buttery garlic sauce for that too). The idea is that you can walk in and both pizza types will be ready for you to pick up and go. For $ 5 I cannot complain. For fast and cheap to go pizza I love it.
