Johnny’s New York Style Pizza

Calzones are always delicious and our food always arrives HOT which is a huge plus for me. We have ordered several times and always pleased. Their wings are the best in the area!

Always enjoyed our time spent at Johnnys. It’s our local pizza place. Laid back and courteous staff. Garlic knots are a must… it will leave you fighting for the last one. Calzones are huge. Affordable, and delicious. :)

I have been a long time customer of this particular restaurant. Over the past 25 years their food, portions, and service has been great. I believed they changed hands a few years ago. WOW! What a difference now. Last night, we ordered a medium plain pizza for delivery.
To our surprise, the pizza was small. I mean REALLY small. Six very small slices… AMAZING! I do admit the pizza was good but the small, small pizza I ordered (which was ordered as a medium) left a lot to be desired. $ 13.00 later, I now know that this specific Johnny’s is a rip off and they have just lost another long time customer.
I know there are other pizza restaurants in the Sandy Springs area that offer more quality for the money.

So I had a bad first experience like a year or two ago with this place and decided to give it another shot and still BAD ummm I live 5 minutes from the place I has been over an hour and I’m pretty sure my food is about to be hella cold. I’m furious right now I called back to confirm if my meal was being delivered and they said the driver already left that was 20 minutes ago. Smh I am NOT happy.

I called to place a take out order the phone ring probably 20 times and I hung up and waited a couple minutes and call back again. A guy answered the phone and I said can I place a take out order he said «yes sir»… Unfortunately I am a female that really didn’t sit well with me. I place my order, he had a hard time understanding me on the phone. I made a point to get out of the car and go in to get the pizza and just to inform the gentleman that took my order that maybe if you’re not sure of the sex of the person on the phone you shouldn’t say yes sir or mam unless you are sure. The pizzas were nice n hot the sausage on the pizza with plan of both I also got a half cheese half pepperoni and it was all so plentiful with lots of cheese the only downside is the crust was kind of Saudi in soft of used to being a little crisper and have him over Chris texture to it.

I eat here often and it is great. It exactly what you would think it is, a neighborhood pizza joint. Better to take it out than eat there as the rest of the reviews here will indicate. Their buffalo chicken and chicken farm subs are great and the calzones are excellent.

Really tasty pizza, salads, pastas, wings, subs and more! Fun, Ny style atmosphere. Reasonable prices for what you get and the staff is super hard working. Love this place for my local go-​to.

We order the same thing each time pep pizza and we like it. The pizza taste the same each time and they give enough ingredients to make it perfect. Would highly recommend if you’re tired of the major chains like Pizza Hut or Dominoes which is gross.

Visited this location today… the service was good. the staff was friendly. .unfortunately the pizza was average… meatballs and pepperoni… my family was not impressed won’t be back.

I like Johnny’s for their beer and pizza and wings. The pizza sometimes has it’s off days but for what it is, it also has some pretty wonderful days. It really depends on who’s working when you get there. The beer is cold and affordable. And the wings are pretty much always consistently good. It’s never crowded and feels so neighborly. I’m not pretending their food is gourmet by any means, but for a standard pizza and wings and beer meal, it’s actually perfect.

Pizza is fine, they used to have these amazing feta cheese/​tomato/​spinach wraps but they aren’t on the menu anymore :(
Staff is always very friendly, usually I’m picking up and its a bunch of guys I’m about to shoot the s*** with. They are pretty funny. Prices are good and the wine is good (although I drink boxed wine half the time)
Great for a cheap family dinner or if you are picking up.
Parking lot sucks but that can’t be helped… Roswell Road is a death trap

I just ordered delivery from them. It came way faster than told. Food was hot… Pizza was so good. Staff is very friendly and cool. This is my new favorite pizza place… Just wish they were open later for my late night cravings. I’ve eaten from here at least 3 times this month so far… I expect it to increase… smh…But very well worth it!

We usually order and pick up from here but when we had company over we decided to go out loud I really wish we hadn’t because their place was pretty grungy I felt embarrassed but I had taken my friends there but the food was great.
My favorite at any Johnny’s is the buffalo chicken pizza but I always have to remember to ask them to remove the bacon. the garlic knots are fantastic but there was one time maybe out of 8 times that we ordered for pick up in the garlic knots were not cooked all the way.
The margarita pizza isn’t that great here but I take it is because of the freshness of the basil and their cooking style. I think Johnny’s is better at some of the more exciting pizza specialties than the classics.

Ordered pizzas and wings few days back for our guests with kids. The order showed up 1.5 hours later. Pizzas were cold and cheese had turned hard with rubber consistency.
Off course wings were cold and they missed dipping sauce and other fixins. Bit embarrassing for us to serve this type of meal.
I spoke with the person who had taken my order and he was apologetic and confirmed one of his managers will call within 24 hours.
Over a week later no call or follow up.

So I decided to try it to give this place a chance smh first of all I called and said «this is my first time ordering from this place tell me about the food» the guy on the phone was really cool and nice and he even took two dollars off my meal not a lot but hey whatever he still was thoughtful… he said 25 minutes and that was at 8:54 I had lost track of time running around that I didn’t know that it was 10:30 so I called and another dude «sounds like a manager» answers so I asked for the kid who took my order and said he said my meal would be here in 25 mins that was at 8:54 and he said sorry that he put my order for take out instead of delivery so I became frustrated and he said give him 5 minutes because I love RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET … Yeah 5 minutes my ass it took an extra 25 minutes I was beyond frustrated when they arrived poor delivery man looked scared he kept apologizing so I didn’t curse him out cause it wasn’t his fault. But when I go to eat my food it was cold and they drowned my Caprese salad in balsamic vingrette I was so annoyed my first impressions of this place is NOT GOOD. Smh

I thought I had reviewed this but apparently not. Haven’t been back in years because of unsatisfactory customer service resolution over a bad pizza delivery. I like my toppings on top of my pizza. Sadly, the cheese did not get a set period to keep it from gathering in the corner of the box.
It’s a shame because the pizza is pretty good. Four cheese is excellent and they actually use canadian bacon instead of ham.

I wont be back. They have the worst customer service and you feel like you are inconveniencing them by asking for ANYTHING. The food wasnt great and with the poor environment and attitudes I’d just keep on driving by this Johnny’s! I hope I save someone from coming here.

Pizza by the slice is average.
Knots are usually pretty good, in my opinion.
Subs are fresh and tasty.
Its real basic, as places go, and could use a thorough housecleaning. Waiters and waitresses are pretty attentive…

I’ll make this one short:
First time we tried them, we were not impressed by the pizza. There is nothing New York Style about their pies.
Tried them a second time, this time for meatball subs and a calzone. My husband likes their calzones — they are full of meat and cheese and are decent, I guess. However, I couldn’t identify the meat in the meatball. It was a solid hunk of… something, and it was gross. I couldn’t finish it.
An hour later, I was very sick.
Never again.

Nope.
