The food here is truly world class. Something unique always awaits you on the ever changing, southern inspired menu. A killer bourbon list, rivaled by few in the country is a highlight for sure. If bourbon’s not your thing, the wine list is also mind blowing. To top it all off it’s run by some of the nicest guys in the business and their guests are fiercely loyal. The multi-million dollar, gargantuan French-style kitchen is taken full advantage of on Sunday brunch when it serves as a «walk-thru buffet» smörgåsbord of epic proportions. Add in a few chefs preparing the«buffet» items ala minute and you’re in for one hell of a Sunday. Make sure to make a reservation!

Fabulous Sunday buffet. Amazing food, served buffet style in the kitchen. I am definitely going back and will put this on my list of places to take guests to impress. We showed up in our Sunday morning relaxed attire but others were there in their Buckhead fancy.

Disappointment from the start. The reviews lead you to believe this is an accessible fun place with great food. The folks who run it think a lot of themselves because they were staffed up and the décor was great. But the food and the prices were out of bounds We started with a «mixed board» of cheeses and cured meats. The cheese(2) were small enough for one bite. The meats could not have been cut thinner. We also ordered the popcorn. Small portion but tasty. Our enters were pretty tasteless. I ordered the local trout. The portion was good size, but the fish had no taste nor did the crab stuffing. The dressing which was drizzled over everything on the plate was the only flavor on the plate so everything tastes the same. My wife had porkillini and it was tasteless as well. For these prices($ 30 for an entrée) you can do better somewhere else.

This was an amazing dining experience. First, our server Christie was excellent. She knew the menu backwards and forwards, answered all our question and had a great sense of humor. Now the food… OMG!!! We had the Notorious P.I.G., the asparagus and the ahi tuna. All were outstanding and I would order each again. I had the cod and was in heaven. The fish was light and flaky and full of flavor. My husband had the lamb and it was delicious!!! Cooked to a perfect medium rare and seasoned perfectly. This is a place we will visit again. Oh, the popcorn is delicious!

Came here for brunch: I love brunch buffets; they have a great variety of things in their buffet and I enjoyed everything I tried! There were a few items with pork in it, which of course I didn’t try– but overall everything else I got was pretty good! Can’t complain! We had reservations but we still ended up waiting 45 mins to get seated. Once seated, we pretty much attacked the buffet! They refill items pretty quickly, so don’t be disappointed if what you want has run out — check back in a few minutes and they will have some more for you! The buffet bar is located in the kitchen, which is an interesting concept. But it’s right in front of the chefs so they know immediately when the food items are running low! I think it’s roughly $ 25 pp plus tip etc. parking is located in the garage– it’s free!

We were there when they opened and were lucky enough to eat brunch without a reservation(I wouldn’t count on being seated without one though). I love bacon and was pleasantly surprised by the bacon they served. It was different than any other bacon I’ve eaten. It had a subtle smokiness that made my taste buds smile(greedy girl talk). And the potatoes… I was also impressed by the size and cleanliness of the kitchen, which you walk thru during the brunch buffet. They had a great mix of both breakfast and lunch dishes, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Make sure you go when you have a decent appetite and have worked out, as the chefs are in no way concerned about your waistline.

Such a good spot all around! Food was great, prices are reasonable and service is fantastic. The location is a bit weird, but the food more than makes up for it! Brussel sprouts and cheeseburger are not to be missed! All of the cocktails are great! Other good things we got: buffalo cauliflower, cheese board(!), truffle popcorn Highly recommend!

Service was great. The staff is so nice and they just put off positive energy. We had the Sunday Brunch for a friends B-day and it was awesome. I can’t go into each thing because there was just so much food and it’s all good!!! I’m from New Orlean but whenever I come back I’m going here!

This place is a little hard to find — it’s inside of what looks like an office building with a few signs here and there, but none that really lead you. There’s a parking lot and I believe they validated, but when we went on a Sunday night, the gates were open so free parking!(yay!!) Came here on a suggestion of a friend and it was really good! We were here on a Sunday night and made a reservation — we were seated immediately, not sure if it was because we had a reservation or because it was pretty empty when we got there. There are big long tables in the middle and more cozy 2 seaters along the edge of the restaurant. They have an extensive bourbon menu with other liquors if bourbon doesn’t tickle your fancy. I stuck with water since I don’t drink but my husband does and he ordered a muddy water for $ 10.03 — not sure why they didn’t round down to $ 10… but whatever that’s besides the point. Their menu changes seasonally, with I believe daily specials since our menu also served as a place mat and had the date on the top… We got the Brussels Sprouts, Charcuterie plate and split the double patty burger. Our server was good, but the rate at our food came out was a little slow? I think they were waiting until we finished some our appetizer before starting our food, but not too sure. Everything but the burger was delicious! I mean, the burger wasn’t terrible, but it was just like any burger that I would make at home, it was only slightly warm… which threw me off because the fries were super hot. I wonder if maybe they were waiting on the fries to finish cooking, which I find hard to believe since you can time those pretty well I would imagine. The fries were nice and potato-y — but I wish they were a little crispier. I would definitely come back to try the rolls, we saw a few of those come out for other tables and they looked so fluffy and delicious. I also would come back and try the general tso’s rabbit which our server said was really good. Next time I come back, I’ll bring a few friends since this place seems to enjoy people staying and chatting, it’s a really great atmosphere!

First of all this place was very hard to find! You have to turn into what looks like an apartment complex and THEN you see signs for restaurant. They actually have a video online showing how to enter the building. Wish I knew that before because it’s much harder than it seems. It’s basically a buffet. I thought it was a little overpriced at $ 24\person. Our cocktails were $ 10 each. Lots of good food choices though and it’s all you can eat. So if you are a big eater then you can get your money’s worth. However its kind of pricey if you don’t eat much. Includes coffee in the price. Bottom line — fun concept and different. Worth checking out at least 1x

Everytime I come back to this place it keeps getting better. This time we came early for happy hour on a Saturday. Lauren and I enjoyed $ 5 manhattans and cabernets, a tremendous deal. We were also treated to all the parmesan truffle popcorn we could eat. Talk about addictive. Now this is the second time we’ve visited the bar in the last few months and we already feel like regulars. The ladies behind the bar were so kind and took good care of us. This time we munched on the general tso’s rabbit and the«BFD» — breakfast for dinner. The rabbit was perfect. The rabbit was so tender and was similar to chicken thighs. The sauce was sweet and spicy, the forbidden rice was pleasantly aldente and the broccoli still had a nice crunch. The BFD was braised and seared pork belly, sous vide egg, and johnny cakes w maple syrup. Combine all those ingredients and you have the most perfect bite.

We were a party of 10 celebrating a birthday tonight. While everything I had and most people had was perfect we had some in our party that didn’t think all the food was good. We started with apps of bread, Mac and cheese, ham charcuterie, and a cheese charcuterie. Then we all had different entrees. While it took a long time according to the wait staff, we didn’t think so, and we got free popcorn!!! Yay for truffle parm popcorn!!! Then because of some people’s meals were not good and food took too long in the staff’s opinion we got 3 free desserts. In my opinion everything was very good and the staff working with us and rectifying the slow kitchen issue with free food was a plus! We had a nice time and would come back again!!! 4 stars because we had to wait 15 min past our reservation time and not everyone was satisfied with their culinary experience!

went there for the weekend brunch and i was happy. what i ate: — sunday brunch buffet. i wont list all the items i ate, as the menu changes regularly. but i loved the bacon, the savory items were amazing, especially the shrimp and grits. i don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but the sweet stuff seemed to be popular with my sweets loving friend. i thought the panna cotta was pretty perfect. … regardless i really loved the concept that you walk through the kitchen to get your food. you can see the cooks making small batches of more food as things ran low. everything there was well prepared, and cooked with fresh ingredients. menu items had both inventive brunch items as well as classic standards. pros: — staff was super friendly, and super laid back — reservations available! do it! it’s worth the extra effort. no one wants to sit around waiting for food — large dining area. there was plenty of seating for large and smaller parties. at one point there was a huuuuuuge table of guy sitting at one table in the middle of the dining room to celebrate someone’s birthday. also a small side room for a more intimate brunch — plenty of parking in the garage cons: — this isnt local three’s fault, i think i was told it’s a georgia thing, but booze isnt served until 1230 on sundays. boooooo — this place gets super busy on sundays. while service was friendly, it got a tad slow towards the end of our meal. so slow that i couldnt order a second bloody mary because i got so full. also, since it gets so busy, be prepared to wait in line for the food. that’s the trouble with all buffets. i’d suggest coming in a little earlier to get your nibble on. would i come again? sure!

Reviewing the Sunday brunch: They run an upscale buffet on Sundays, and upscale buffets are few and far between. Upscale means they’re not pulling stuff out of a frozen back and heating it up. They’re serving up a variety of tasty dishes. Some stand out more than others – the potatoes, shrimp and grits, egg salad appetizer, and pomegranate dessert were delicious; the chocolate covered pancake, mac and cheese, and several other items were good but not quite spectacular. The only disappointing dish was the soup, which sounded like it had more flavor than it actually possessed. It’s a pricey brunch but I’d definitely recommend it, particularly when you’re hungry.

Local Three is in a neighborhood that I’ve never been to or am familiar with. Even the restaurant is tucked away in a residential/hotel building and hard to find. However once inside, it’s a hip atmosphere. The bar to the back and a large dining room with wood accents. The ambiance is masculine, in a good way. Upon being seated, I asked our server for a glass of water with no ice. The menu is short and appropriate for a restaurant of this style. There were some dishes on the daily special menu while the bulk of the main entrees had a variety of meat dishes. There were few starters as well as some plates to share. We ordered a variety of dishes. I ordered a homemade tortellini, another ordered the hungry man, 3rd person ordered the scallops and 4th person ordered the macaroni & cheese. All three of my companions ordered the poached vanilla pear salad. One of them also ordered homemade buns. On Mondays Local Three offers a flip a coin deal where if a table chooses to partake, the manager brings out poker chip-looking coins, allows one of the guests to choose a coin and call heads or tail. The concept allows the guests to get a bottle of wine for $ 1 or regular price depending on the outcome of the flip. Between the 4 of us we chose a bottle that was $ 40. Sadly it wasn’t our luck of the draw because we didn’t win. I believe this offer is only for select bottles of wines on Mondays. Our food was served timely with the rolls and salads coming out first. Unfortunately two of the three women did not care for their salads. They suspected mayonnaise or sour cream to be the key ingredient in the dressing and didn’t care for the taste. The rolls were nice and warm and tasted fabulous. My main entrée of tortellini was 4 or 5 pieces with sauteed pork belly and sliced leeks. Overall the filling for the pasta was delicious especially with the pork belly and leeks however I was, once again, disappointed in the execution of the pasta. The edges were too thick and tasted underdone(not al dente). We were all surprised by the hungry man plate because it was actually a dinner plate with compartments, like the hungry man tv dinner, which included baby carrots, mashed potatoes, a roll, braised short ribs and a brownie. She said the short ribs were fine however everything else was very salty. The individuals that ordered the scallops and macaroni & cheese raved about their food. Unfortunately I never got that glass of water without ice. For the prices listed on the menu, one expects flawless service and food, sadly they failed to deliver.

Let me be clear: This is an initial review, based on a client lunch meeting — this is why I’m being star-stingy. I probably need to go back for a full dinner/cocktails in order to get the complete experience. Something important for anybody who has never been to know — the entrance to Local Three is NOT the easiest to find. There really isn’t signage outside that points you in the right direction(in fact, they do a better job of directing you to the parking than they do to the eatery). I’ll own up to the fact that having seen some outdoor seating, I walked out that way, thinking there would be some manner of entry from the outside world… and unfortunately, that just caused me to walk halfway around the building, just to turn back around. the restaurant is inside the Forum building, down a little hallway off the main lobby/entrance, past the restrooms and through a door. Once you find it, however, Local Three leverages«cool» really well. The walls are decorated with paintings of scenes from«The Big Lebowski», and they have a burger on the present menu called«The McDowell» — yes, that IS a «Coming to America» reference, and yes, they DO include the same description that Mr. McDowell gives of the Big Mick(as opposed to the Big Mac) in the movie. My dining companion and I shared brussels sprouts off the«Snacks» section of the menu — roasted, halved sprouts with a touch of balsamic vinegar. They were tasty, with just the right amount of char. She had a grilled cheese(basically ordered their How Ham and Cheese, but asked that they hold back on the ham and apple), and I went for the Bay Scallop Po’ Boy — we both opted for their fries. The Po’ Boy was serviceable, though I don’t know if I’d recommend it at its nearly $ 17 price of entry. I found the bread to be a bit overwhelming… the sandwich was a little dry for me, despite the pickles, lettuce, onion, and remoulade. I ended up fishing out the scallops and pickles, and leaving much of the rest. The fries were fresh and tasty, dressed in a bit of garlic and parsley. The service was friendly and attentive, and Local Three will validate your parking in the deck(don’t forget to have the hostess stamp your ticket!). I’ll be back to give this spot another shot!

I have been to Local Three a few times for lunch. This past Sunday, I went for brunch. I was pleasantly surprised to know that they offer a brunch buffet that was quite flavorful. We called prior to going and we were lucky enough to get a table for two people. The restaurant is in the Forum building with garage so you don’t really have to worry about the parking. They also validate the parking for you, although on Sundays, the parking is essentially free as the gate is open. We got there around 1 and got seated by the window by a gracious host. Our server came to take our drink order and told us that its brunch buffet. She then took us to the kitchen to show us how its done L3 style. There were a few people ahead of us in the line but it was not bad. I suspect that some people might get self-conscious about standing there for a long time and piling up their plate. Call me crazy, but I imagine that everyone(or nearly everyone) in the buffet line thinks they are being judged. Which works in everyone’s favor. The buffet is actually inside the kitchen so you can see them cooking. Anyways, the kitchen was decorated with kitchy but charming knickknacks and toys. The menu had Salad, soft scrambled eggs, passion fruit coffee cake, peach panna cotta, biscuits with duck fat gravy, Cheddar and Jalapeño Biscuits, roasted potatoes, French toast, Seared White Shrimp, butter squash soup, roasted peanut hummus crostini, bacon, Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes, Roast Turkey Panini. I tried to taste as much as I can, but its just overwhelming explosion of culinary delight. Lol. I think turkey Panini was excellent. Scrambled eggs were simple yet flavorful. The cheddar and jalapeño biscuit had a perfect texture. The French toast was mediocre, due to a general lack of fluffiness/texture and an overweight, mint chocolate syrup coating. I would give it 5⁄10. But the lemon poppy seed pancakes were the bomb. I got butternut squash soup at the end to taste and by that time I was full so I don’t think I can judge It fairly, but still it tasted good. I remember having the butternut squash soup for lunch one day there and I had fallen in love with it. I think seared white shrimp lacked little bit of flavor but still was good. They have fresh squeezed OJ, which was a nice touch. Over all the brunch was great, but in general, I don’t like doing buffet. But that won’t stop me from coming here again. I think they are excellent for lunch. I have been there 2 – 3 times before for lunch and each time had a wonderful experience. I recommend this place to everyone. Its one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. :)

Where do I begin? We ate here a few weeks ago after wanting to try it for months! We eat at Muss & Turners regularly, so when we learned about Local Three being owned by the same people, it was on our list. We met some friends, so we were able to try out a few different things. What really stood out to me was the AMAZING strawberry shortcake salad. It was amazing. All the flavors blended so well together, and the look of strawberry shortcake made it even more delicious. Our waitress, Grace, was phenomenal. She was very attentive and gave great recommendations. We even got a tour of the kitchen at the end! Can’t wait to come back.

I came here with a group of friends for Easter brunch and had to make a reservation a couple of weeks in advance. Local Three has Sunday brunch every week for about $ 20 a person but it is about $ 35 or so for Easter brunch of course. As soon as we got seated at our table, our server came and got us our drinks. We took a glimpse of the daily menu that also served as our placemats and then it was off to the races! For brunch, the restaurant places all the food in the kitchen so you get to see food being prepared as well as check out the layout of the kitchen which is pretty cool. All the food items were laid out in a line with hand-written signs in front of each item so you know what you were eating. The brunch items change frequently so you won’t have the same experience if you come again. They have everything from standard breakfast items such as eggs and bacon to lunch items such as various meats and vegetables and desserts. The presentation of the food has a nice appeal as well since everything is served as a smaller portion compared to a normal buffet. The quality is also much better so you definitely get what you pay for. After each plate of food, they immediately took our plate and even replaced the silverware for the next round. Our drinks were always refilled so service was definitely on point. I enjoyed most of the food they had offered for the day but wasn’t able to try everything since there was so much to choose from. I will definitely be coming back for a regular Sunday brunch and can’t wait to see what will be in store!

On a lazy and hungover Sunday afternoon, I somehow managed to get a table for brunch here. I was really looking for something filling and tasty at this point and didn’t expect Local Three to be as good as it was. The location is a bit odd, in some apartment/condo building. — EATINGFROMTHEKITCHEN. This is the first time I’ve had an opportunity to do that. It was really cool. You go into the kitchen, pick out what you want to eat and load it on the plate. — SOTASTY. Even though it was a «buffet» style brunch, every food item was exquisite. The rabbit quiche was phenomenal. The potatoes were cooked perfectly, spiced just right and extremely flavorful. Brownie is very tasty. Really, everything I got from the kitchen was just amazing. Shrimp and grits were fantastic also. — SLICKAMBIANCE. Wooden tables, industrial décor and a massive bar. So nice.
