I am shockingly giving this particular branch 2 stars. According to my Unilocal profile, I have been to this location 7 times. On 5 of those 7 visits, something went wrong. Why do I keep going back? Because the pizzas are amazing, and it is crazy close to my home. Some examples of things gone poorly at this location? Drinks and food made incorrectly. Extensive wait times, followed by cold food. Entrees not being served at the same time. I thought I had finally solved my problem by just ordering take-out; sadly, they forgot to cook part of my order.(The manager did address this last issue immediately, however 24 hours later I do not see any type of credit on my debit card.) I got home to also find that my order was missing two side sauces. We keep going back because we always had great experiences at the Tampa location. I am not sure why a dark cloud of ineptitude hangs over this venue. I think we are finally giving up, as these issues appear to be systemic. Thankfully, there are many other branches out there.

Been there twice in the last couple of weeks and would like to know why it takes over 20 minutes at lunch to get a small pizza? sat at the bar and hardly anyone there for lunch. Just dont get it. Person next to me got a sandwich in like 5 minutes and sat down 10 minutes after I ordered. pizza is good like mellow mushroom pizza around town

I appreciate a call from the GM after I reported a problem. He handled it as best as I could have expected.

Awesome beer selection. The best crust in the world. The Greek Salad is pretty bomb, too

I dropped in for lunch because I had a taste for pizza. Sorry to say they stop selling pizza by the slice at 2 pm. I missed the cut by 8 minutes. I sat at the bar and Brittney(sp) came right over to take care of me. She got my drink right away and then took my order. Her service was great and she was really attentive. I ordered the oven roasted wings and tossed salad. Everything was really good. The wings were roasted perfectly(not too soft or hard) and the salad was perfectly sized(I got the small size and it was still decently portioned). Can’t go wrong with mellow mushroom! Great place!

Pizza is weak far too bready. It takes FOREVER to get a pizza here — it is routinely more than 30 minutes from ordering and there are always lots of staff just standing around looking stoned. Why do I keep coming back??? My kid likes it. And my mother loves the mushroom pizza. I will continue to come here, under protest.

This was my go-to place for trivia when I was in college. Mellow Mushroom is perhaps the best place in Atlanta to find pizza. Having said that: Have you been to a Mellow Mushroom before? Did you like it? No?(I’m sorry, Mellow Mushroom pizza is awesome. If you didn’t like it then look elsewhere). This isn’t the best place to find pizza. It attracts the post baseball kids and families. Over the past 5 years, the waitstaff has remained the same(I’ve always marveled at the restaurants that have smaller turnover than the places I’ve worked). This MM is probably more kid friendly than others, based on what I’ve seen. Go here for the MM experience. Don’t go here because of the Peachtree/Buckhead experience.

This Mellow is the most accommodating folks I have ever seen. Ice cold beer, any game on tv with sound. Glad there still in the hood.

Food was delicious. The spinach artichoke dip was very unique never had anything like it! Beer selection is vast! We enjoyed a pitcher of sweet water blue. Our server was friendly and did a good job! All good experiences so far

Delicious! The Holy Shitake and Greek salad were perfect and always worth the wait. Anyone out there who knows the Esperanza dressing recipe?!? It’s that amazing! Nice work Jamie and gang; my hat is off to those who do it so well!

LOVE Mellow Mushroom! Am so glad this location finally features lunch specials. This is a great place to grab a salad and slice at lunch — although busy, its usually easy to grab a seat since the seating area is vast. My personal fave is a double onion, mushroom, and Italian sausage pizza. They use white onions on their pizza instead of red, which is my preference. Just keep that in mind if you’re a red onion person — you might have to ask for them. I’m also a huge fan of the pretzels(with both marinara and esperanza sauces), the greek salad(with a spinach base), and oh yum, their calzones. The house special and mighty meaty are also really yum! There are tons of TVs in the restaurant so if you’re looking for a place to watch the game, this is a great option. They also have Thursday trivia nights with great prizes. Parking can be a bummer, so I suggest carpooling to avoid finding spaces for lots of cars!

Came on a Monday afternoon. Such a great experience coming from Chicago. Pizza was supwrb. We got a large Kosmic Karma pizza pue and was delicious. The staff pleasantly friendly from hostes tonserver. Our server was Emily, her smile and her awesome attention made the experience even better. There is nothing better than good food, cold buzze, smiling, and attentive service. Nothing was out of place during this visit. Luv it.

Mellow Mushroom everywhere is delicious. End of story. Large pizzas, fantastic toppings, good appetizers, friendly servers, and a laid back atmosphere. I can always rely on a good pizza meal here.

Mellow Mushroom food is pretty consistently good across the board. The food here was as expected– deliciously high-calorie and stupor-inducing(true to it’s namesake.) On this most recent trip, I veered from my «usual» to try the Philosophers pie(steak, portabello, artichoke, Kalamata Olives and cheese on cheese on cheese) — I liked it but found the olives to greatly overpower the rest of the ingreidents. I might order it again, but ask them to replace the olives with spinach. However, this location does not offer much parking at all and the service is consistently less than stellar. Never ever am I able to find a parking spot when I visit this location-once again proving that there are just too many darn people in this city. We always wind up spending hours here, not because we’re enjoying ourselves, but because it’s impossible to get a waitress to visit the table more than once an hour or so.

This Mellow Mushroom is located next to a few other popular local area restaurants so the shared parking lot can get pretty tight and difficult to find a parking spot. The restaurant itself has TVs all over the place and has multiple different sporting events playing at the same time. It also has a full bar with a wide variety of beers on tap. They also do trivia night on Wednesdays at 8PM which seems to be pretty popular. We decided to start with the pretzels for an appetizer. They have 3 different types: butter garlic with parmesan, butter with salt, and cinnamon sugar. You can also order a half order that comes with 3 or a full order that comes with 6. We decided to go with 6 and split the order with half butter garlic and half cinnamon sugar. They came on separate plates and the butter garlic came with marinara dipping sauce while the cinnamon sugar came with honey. The butter garlic pretzels didn’t have much flavor but the marinara helped while the cinnamon sugar pretzels were sweet and tasty and even better with the honey. As for the actual meal, we decided to get a medium pizza and got it half and half. They have several different types of specialty pizzas and you can split your pizza so you can try 2 different types. We decided to go with the house special and mighty meaty. The house special is essentially a supreme pizza while the mighty meaty is a meat lover’s with every type of meat. The pizza was solid but cost a little over $ 20 for a medium so a bit pricey. The food itself also took over 20 minutes just for the pretzels to come out but the pizza came out very shortly after so the spacing wasn’t well timed. We had just eaten 1 pretzel each and the pizza had already been brought out. This Mellow Mushroom location is a nice spot for watching sporting events and coming to trivia night but make sure you get there early since parking can be a challenge. The food is decent but nothing spectacular but the environment is nice and the servers are friendly.

Here is my gluten free review. I am always on a quest to find the best gluten free pizza. Before tasting Mellow Mushroom, the best I found was Maddio’s. I really like Mellow Mushroom gluten free pizza. The dough is more of a whole wheat taste and not sweet; the pie is larger than most other places. My husband does not like Maddios GF dough, he really liked Mellow Mushroom GF dough, so it is nice to find a GF place that we both agree on. I would prefer a more crunchy crust, so that is why I gave it a 4. The salads are also great. #GF, #glutenfree, #brookhaven, #celiac

I waited a bit to write my review for this location of Mellow Mushroom, but I still cannot contain my frustration with the parking here. The parking lot is plenty for Mellow Mushroom, but unfortunately, there are maybe 5 – 6 other major restaurants that also utilize the same parking lot. I drove around the lot for LITERALLY30 minutes trying to find parking. My friends were waiting for me inside and I had the worst night trying to find a spot. They were starving and were waiting on me to order, which I felt terrible about. Something needs to be done about parking options for this strip of restaurants. I cannot blame the restaurant for having bad parking so I tried to reign in my frustration when I found my friends sitting at a table. They seemed to be in the middle of the rush, with tables mostly full around them. We perused our menus before we tried flagging down the waitress, but had the hardest time getting her attention. She was probably working that entire section and it was hard getting to us after she saw I had finally joined my party. I ordered a half spiked sausage hoagie, since I didn’t want to eat too much. The sausage was nice and greasy, although I didn’t taste as much of the«spiked» beer flavor I was hoping for. Yummy though, although it could have been because I was starving. Overall, the experience was sub par. Wish we could have had better service and I could have spent more time catching up with the girls than following people to their cars to take their parking spot as they left. Also, I did not appreciate the lack of support for FSU in my area. So many haters.

Ordinarily this is my favorite Mellow Mushroom in Atlanta. Ordinarily it’s a solid Four Star pizza experience. It’s large and modern and an all around great atmosphere to grab dinner. This time, not so much. After the 40th birthday $ 2.50 cheese pizza, I was desperately craving their kosmic karma pizza. Last night I met one of my friends there and it can best be sums up as follows: The kosmic karma pizza is still delightful. Our server was quite nice but provided mediocre service. Call me crazy but people usually need napkins to go with a large pizza. Last night was hopefully the first and the last time that I will ever see a cockroach crawling across the floor in a restaurant. Yeah that happened. Despite that major setback, dinner was still delicious and I’m choosing to think that maybe, just maybe I was hallucinating from the mellow mushrooms on my pizza.

I used to frequent the Vining’s location below La Paz all the time when I lived in the Jubilee. Now my stomping ground is Brookhaven and I love this Mellow just as much! It’s a much better location with more lighting. I always sit at the bar when we decide to dine in. I will admit to picking up an obnoxious amount of food on the reg tho. They are always fast with prep and my order is never incorrect! Down to plastic forks for my salad, and they never forget small detail.(Like bf doesn’t eat feta, and request mozzarella on his Greek salad). As for when we find a parking spot and go inside-the bartender was cool and made suggestions that I never would’ve considered. I tried to Magical mushroom soup. Delicious. Although, I added a stupid amount of salt. It was still awesome and the first time I have had it. I also refuse to eat a meal at MM without the pretzels. I have a huge love for pretzels(bread, carbs, salt-twisted up and baked like they should be). This place does my favorite food some serious justice. They use their moist dough for pizza to make the jumbo soft pretzels and have some tasty rubs to try if you’re not into plain salt. I usually get a large order of them and bring em home with me. Even after a day(or 2 or 3) they are still soft and doughy. YUM. The pizza is just great. I absolutely despise franchise pizza but this is different. Everything is so fresh, tastes like a Alice of heaven. I like the specialty pizzas they offer on the menu – as much as I’m a create-your-own kinda chick – the toppings they put together for you are really tasty combos and always exactly how you ask for it. I like my pizza a bit crispier than what’s usually acceptable. They burn it just right for me ! I’ll continue coming here! I do wish dogs were allowed on the patio. I was told its against some health code. But Pub 71 patio is literally a high five away and they do allow it. Oh well

Last night J was getting back from a business trip and we needed to debrief about events of the last few days — you know, the usual. .. a friend’s funeral, job issues, problems with the fams. .. so pizza was clearly in order. Since I’m bunking in Brookhaven, we settled on MM. I hadn’t been in ages — and forgot that on a Fri around 6pm there are TONS of kids and families running around — fortunately it wasn’t too bad last night. We found spots at the bar and had a good meal. Made our own salad — mixed greens and romaine, tomato, mushrooms(olives on the side for him) and the tasty Esperanza dressing. Then I convinced him to try a pizza combo that I used to get all the time– sausage, mushrooms and artichoke hearts. At first he was skeptical, but I knew he’d come around because he likes meat on his pizza and he knows I’ll pretty much never steer him wrong on food choices(when you eat together as much as we do, and have been together a year plus were friends for years before, you kinda pick up on each other’s eating habits!). .. he loved. Good service, though not bar staff that used to be there and with whom I was familiar. Casual night out. Nice to be nearby again!
