I was not at all impressed with place I had the chicken and fish dinner and the only thing good about it was the fries. The service was great, very friendly.

.25 cent wings are only .25 cents when you purchase a ridiculously priced and under proportioned side item. And, oh by the way, don’t expect any complimentary sauce as that all costs as well. And the wings are very small as if they are the rejected batch of wings from the meat market. I was really trying to support the small guy but when the small guy isn’t trying to support the small consumer then the formula fails. Unfortunately, I will NOT be visiting again.

On my third visit in the past year I received a totally different experience from last year. I order a fish combo meal and it was the worst. It does appear as if they fried the the fish and the fries again to reheat. As opposed to cooking a fresh meal, mine seemed to be reheated from the deep fryer. I should have known this place was bad news when I noticed, the parking lot empty at dinner time and given a cup of cool-aid as my beverage of choice. Furthermore, I did noticed the prices have dropped drastically but later only to find out so has the service!

I have no idea how good or bad their food is, and I never will, because I do not eat fried tripe. I do know, however, that they have littered my neighborhood with flyers, which is disrespectful, annoying and illegal. With this mentality, the food cannot be good.

Gave MoJos another try after having a less than enjoyable breakfast experience. I figured lunch could be their thing. Boy, was I wrong. Besides the cook moving slow to make my turkey burger. He drained it with mayo and I had no idea that mayo would be on my Texas toast(why no buns?) Yes, I did inquire about what would be on the burger because I do not eat mayo on burgers but the very friendly wait staff only mentioned Lettuce, Tomato, Onions. Don’t get me started on the tomato being green and the lettuce being wilted. I could go on… I am very disappointed in this place and will not return. However, I do wish it luck and hope that they actually add a real cook in the kitchen.

Oh what a difference a few months makes. I will NOT be returning to this place. Stopped in for breakfast recently, and there are FEW choices. Then, the food is WAAAAAAAYOVERPRICED. How did I spend $ 12.48 and still NOT have a slice of toast included with my order?! It was«extra». Everything was«extra», and you get ONE refill of your drink. After that, yep–«extra». The food was not«all that». I’ve had better breakfast at Waffle House. Heck, I’ve had a better breakfast at Del Taco. Also, the picture shown of the breakfast combo plate is deceiving, as it does not COME with hash browns, but the picture shows hash browns. You guessed it–«extra» for the hash browns. I asked the guy waiting on me why the picture was like that, and he said he didn’t know why the owner did it that way. I asked for this mystery owner who loves to take pics and pose with C List«celebs» that have stopped by(highly doubt they are regulars, and if they are, they probably eat free), and was told he wouldn’t be in until«about 1pm». I asked for a comment card, suggestion box, anything– and nothing was available. Heck, they didn’t even have business cards! I am SO over this place. What a missed opportunity to build a great business, in a great location. This could have worked, but NOBODY likes to be NICKEL and DIMED.

It makes me sad that I couldn’t fall in love with this place… The owner and staff are so sweet, but unfortunately the food won’t have me coming back. The first time I visited, the lemon-pepper wings were exceptionally good, You can tell they marinade the chicken, which gives it a little extra boost of flavor, LOVED that! Also, the concept is really cute, and they played Motown hits that we all came to love. The following two visits are where it all went horribly wrong. I literally developed a craving for their wings and decided that yes, it WAS worth the gas and time(during final 4 weekend!) to trek down there and get some. Mind you, I’d talked this place up to a co-worker to the point where she had me pick up a plate for her as well. The wings ended up being so salty that they were inedible! I mean I literally had to take the skin off to eat them(thank god they marinade though…). I was sorely disappointed. It was like whoever made the wings just poured the whole container of seasoning in there and closed the lid. My third and final time there(thus far) I got a burger. They’re hand made and the bun was good, but again with the salt? Come on with these games! I don’t too much care for high blood pressure, but I was hungry to the point of irritability so I scarfed it down anyway. I really wanted to adore this place with all my heart.,. fall in love with *that spot* in the neighborhood… but due to the inconsistency I just have to pass for a while.
