As an avid boba consumer, I am thrilled to see a bubble tea café open up on Georgia Tech’s campus! Having tried only their class milk tea, I give them my stamp of approval. The boba is not crunchy or stale. They are soft and chewy, as they should be. I appreciate the different levels of sweetness you can specify. Also, the alternate creamers are great for those who are lactose intolerant. I’ll definitely return for more bubble tea!

Panda Express has officially opened up in the Georgia Tech student center commons replacing Burger Bytes which replaced the really expensive wing spot. What’s even better than that? They opened up Panda Tea Bar within the space too! It sells bubble tea and well, tea. When you’re checking out of the Panda Express line, they have milk tea as a drink option you can grab in the cooler by the register! Awesome! I got in line at 10:30 am, when they open during the week(closed on the weekend), and there was already a 10 minute wait. It was worth it because from that point on, the line was only going to get longer and longer throughout the day. They serve all of the traditional Panda Express food, but it might be slightly better than a stand alone location. Why? Since the line of students waiting to order is constantly about 20−30+ deep(at least for now), the kitchen is constantly turning out food which means it will be hot and it will be fresh. I overheard some students wonder why people were going crazy for Panda Express when there is Asian food in the food court. Long term answer: it’s better. Short term answer: it’s new. Maybe the long line will die down as the semester progresses, but if you’ve seen the line at Chick-fil-a, then you know Panda Express’s line may not be a fad either. The prices are cheap, the food is hot, and this new spot will hopefully last much longer than Burger Bytes… and the really expensive wing spot which came before it.
