Beware of Bait and Switch pricing…300 AC repair turned into over a grand. Granted this was back in July of 2011. I just remember them coming home off leave from the middle east.

This was THE WORST pep boys experience ever!!! I had a sound coming from my front right wheel. They recommended new breaks and an alignment. $ 313. Drove car off still making the same sound. Upon returning they recommended new struts… They kept my car promising to be done everyday they kept it. Today we are on day 8 of the BS excuses! Finally my car is done! Driving off rushing back to work and still the same sound is present as if they did absolutely nothing since over a week ago! Was offered 50% off the total of $ 510 for the inconvenience but I’m still out $ 242 for nothing done!!! I will never return to Pep boys at any location and I recommend they be shut down! I can’t even go back and try to get a refund because I’m exhausted and tired! I felt like the management didn’t give any interest to my issue. Only 2 staff members, Acer and Jo tried to help as much as possible… Well that’s my review. I wish I would have read the reviews first because I see that bad service is the way this place functions

Stay away from this place … they will try trick you … I had only 1 flat tire but they said i had 3. I told them just fix 1 that making noise (Air coming out noise) … They said 1 for 20 $ so 3 for 60 $ … But i only had 1. It really upset me. They just cant be honest

Go somewhere else if you can. Had an appt booked for 9 am. Store didn’t even open until 930am. Was told it would take under an hour to replace the tire took 2 hours. Not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience. Took me twenty minutes just to check out. Horrible service.

Full Disclosure-​This has everything to do with their customer service and not the service of the Vehicle. I made an online appt for 10am oil change, arrived a few min early to check in-​all was good… at 11am my car was still not getting worked on. I went up to the desk to politely state my concern for the time. The 2 people behind the desk immediately became defensive telling me that there were other cars ahead of mine. I asked what the point of making an appt was, she replied «If you would just stop talking and listen, I’m trying to tell you that there’s other people ahead of you!» Does she not realize that what she should have said was «I apologize for the wait, let me see how much longer it will be!» God forbid she have any customer service skills. I asked for my keys and left. I’ll take my car to BMW where I will pay twice as much but my time is worth it! If you are on any kind of schedule-don’t bother with these people. Disgusted!

PepBoys saved me today! After realizing my tire was losing air pressure due to a nail puncturing it, I was desperately trying to find a tire shop that would help me patch the hole, but the first few places I stopped at told me they didn’t have the time or people. Pep Boys were so helpful, took care of me twenty minutes before closing because they said they «weren’t going to let me drive around with a flat tire». Seriously quality people and company!

Picked out tires on their website and made and appointment. Pricing was similar to Tirerack and they had tires in stock so decided to give them a try. Picked up car and got it home only to realize they installed ¾ tires correctly and 4^th was the wrong tire. Figuring it was a mistake we took the car back the next day, expecting them to be apologetic and expedite getting the car fixed. Was informed it would take several hours as they were busy. Came back 4 hours later and they had installed yet another wrong tire! Not only that but they didn’t have the correct tire in stock and had to go pick it up from another store. Manager finally came out with not much to say other than he will fix it and for us to come back in an hour. Came back an hour and a half later, car still on jack. On our way out, had to ask for some kind of discount, was not offered anything, not even a sorry…
Highly recommend going elsewhere (have used Gran Turismo East and they were awesome).

This was my first and last experience with Pep Boys. I visited once to schedule an appointment and the gentleman at the front desk was rude. When I called to reschedule, they placed me on hold and hung up on me after 15 minutes. I called again the following week to reschedule and they placed me on hold 15+ minutes during both attempts. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to Anthem Automotive where they actually know how to treat customers and provide a great service.

HORRIBLE. Do not go here. My AC was working perfectly fine before I brought my car in here for an alternator replacement. When I got my car back, I noticed that it was blowing HOT air. They want to charge me 14.99 for an AC inspection even though it was their fault. Unprofessional and a waste of money. They are the main reason why I always take my car to the dealership to get it fixed. The people there are obviously more honest, professional, and competent. In addition to that, it took 4 employees and a 40 min wait for them to «find» my car and keys.

.not rotated… arrived at a 1:50pm. it is now 3:20 as i type this. and my car is still not ready .not even rotating just balance! why have a appointment??? very disappointed in service.

Round 2 at Pepboys and not because I wanted to… my car literally stalled in the parking lot. Someone stared at me for a second and then said I couldn’t leave my car where IT STALLED. well, no sh*t, I didn’t choose this spot for my car to die. So someone moved it for me and I learned that with transmission issues, could have done serious damage. Anywho, they wanted to charge $ 80 to LOOK at my car. Then the offered to just check my fluids. 2.5 hours later and no one had even looked at my car. Thank goodness I was only around because I was waiting for a tow truck to drive me to Canton Muffler & Auto. If you enjoy being taken advantage of, have tons of time and money to spare, go right on ahead to Pep Boys; you’d still probably be disappointed.

I can’t say enough good things about the service I received at Pep Boys last month… mostly due to the exceptional customer service provided by Acer. I had four new tires installed, along with brakes and rotors. Acer was forthright, thorough, and gave exceptionally great customer service.
I will definitely take my Jeep back to this location. Ask for Acer… he’s the Man!

This place is the worst experience I have ever had with auto repair. The staff is incompetent, lied to me about progress, and hung up my call when I called for an update (when they did not call me by the time they quoted).
Never again. Never.

My passenger side power window wasn’t rolling up or down so I took it here to get fixed. When I got my car back NOW the right side door lock wasn’t working automatically anymore, and the plastic inner lining in the door was cracked (both happened during my service at this specific Pep Boys location). I went back and they were going to charge me $ 120 to open the door back up. The lock wasn’t an electrical issue. I took it to a place off Buford highway (4 Brothers off Buford and Clairemont), offered $ 20 cash, and they opened the door back up, reattached something (SUPER simple they said — I know nothing about cars), and ta-​da the locked worked. Ugh, Pep Boys. Not coming here ever again.

The first time I went in, I waited quite a long time before anyone acknowledged me to say even a standard — we’ll be with you in a moment.
Not a great first impression but I did have to take my car BACK to get something checked out, as they were the only place nearby who could get my car in on the day.
Good news after calling multiple places!
When I made that call, Joe (Joseph) was so polite and cordial. And when I got there, he displayed excellent care and attention and immediately took my info down for the paperwork. I was in and out that time in just a few minutes.
They are extremely busy at this location, but his customer service is what made my visit there worth it.
Good and fair prices too.

I go to this location since its around the corner from where I stay and every time I go in here it’s always the same experience. When you actually have a question about a product or looking for an item, no one is around to give you assistance. Either they are just checking people out or someone is permanently on the phone. When you do actually get to interact with an employee, they never seem enthusiastic at all. Attitude is always just blah. It seems like the employees are just working there and are not very knowledgable about the automotive industry. My frustration level is high every time I go into the store.

I had a great experience here today. Came in and had my brake lights replaced and was in and out in less than 45 minutes despite it being fairly busy. Joe R was helpful and friendly and I’ll be going back when my car needs another band aid!

I don’t even know where to start with this… I don’t know what I was thinking bringing my car here… You get what you pay for.
My tired pressure light came on, and usually I do not like it whenever something is wrong with my car. It was a Saturday and last minute, so I didn’t have much of a choice. I made an appointment the same day and came here. As soon as you walk in, no one greets you. They see you walk in and no one tries or asks if they can help you. I stood at the front desk for a good 10 minutes before some asked what I was in there for. They put air in my tires and said they checked my tires and nothing was wrong with it. And the light went off briefly.
Then they sent me off and my lights came back on. Comes to think of it, when they checked my tire there was something stuck in there.
Basically long story short, the customer service is awful, they made me come back and forth 5 times!!! Ridiculous! And the people lost my car keys! So I literally stood there for 15 minutes while they looked for it. And everyone acted like they had no idea what was going on! Then the employee make my decision for me to not give me my invoice and said it will be e-​mailed to me. I waited a good 2 hours and still did not receive and e-​mail with my invoice, so i call them. They said their printers are not working and once the service went through, there is no way to get the invoice back. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?! Ugh never again! Just do not come here!

Awesome for products, bad for service. I’ve been here to buy things like oil and cleaning products, and always had good experiences until today. Definitely not taking my car here again. Still trying to figure out why they reset the trip meter, since it shouldn’t have left the lot and the odometer is always displayed… hm…
Let’s cut to the chase. I bought a pair of tires with the corporate-​wide Road Hazard Warranty at the Buford Highway location. Two days ago I ran over a screw, so I made the appointment here and they took in my car. Obviously, you have to take the car to the tire shop because if the screw is embedded and you try to pull it yourself then you risk getting a flat on the spot.
Luckily, it was just pulled — no plugs, no repairs. Golden.
At checkout time, they tried to charge me $ 23 for that — but it’s clearly covered under the warranty. It took virtually zero effort on their part. When I challenged the manager on this and asked to see the actual agreement text of the warranty, he immediately shifted his tune and said he would let it go this time, but tried to make it clear that this type of repair is not covered by the Road Hazard Warranty. BUSTED! F**k that noise.

I have an over decade’s long history with Lindbergh Pep Boys. In the early 2000s, I bought a Pep Boys «Garage Bucket» which I still use to this day when I wash my car. The bucket is huge, tough, and durable. I use it to store all my car cleaning supplies and soapy/​non-​soapy water when washing my car. It’s red and prominently features the Pep Boys logo on the outside.
This Pep Boys has a car service center and a parts and accessories store. I’ve never taken any cars for mechanical work at a Pep Boys. I like to leave that up to more specialized (i.e. brand-​specific) mechanics. I do stop by this Pep Boys when I need car cleaning supplies including, but not limited to car wash formula, car wax, wheel and tire cleaner, glass cleaner, Rain-​X, leather cleaner and conditioner, and dash and molding protectant. I’ve also purchased wash mitts and chamois cloths here.
As time has gone on, I’ve found many of these same supplies available at cheaper prices at Target and Walmart. Pep Boys, however, still has the best selection if you’re looking for a certain brand or type of product. For example, Walmart might carry only 2 – 3 different types of wax and Pep Boys might carry 10.
I once called the Pep Boys location on Cobb Parkway, closer to my workplace, for quote on a new set of tires and was disappointed to find out that they don’t match Internet prices. I’m not sure if that’s the case across all Pep Boys nationwide, but thought it was worth noting in this review.
Most of my visits to this Pep Boys have been over the weekend and it’s usually busy.
