Took our Honda here after being told by another shop that our faulty air conditioner would require a new compressor installation at a cost of over $ 1,000. Todd looked at a number of possible causes for the AC not working and determined it needed a much simpler fix – one that cost just over $ 100. He also explained everything thoroughly. AC has been running just fine now a week later, even after a drive from Atlanta to Boston.

Great service I went there with a problem and came out without a problem Eric fixed exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. My vehicle was ready when promised.

I’ve been bringing my old (mostly) reliable truck to Roger Jordan Garage for a few years. I’ve never had a mechanic I appreciated so much! They always take me to my truck and show and explain what exactly needs to be done and give options for parts and work. They take responsibility for any mistakes and/​or mishaps and always do thorough quality work. They never make me feel stupid or judge the shoddy amateur work that I do myself either and even will give advice over the phone. Prices and very fair and unbeatable and I never feel like I’m being upsold unnecessary work. I always appreciate the honesty and friendliness from everyone that works there! Sometimes there’s a wait but it’s always worth it because you know that they spend time working on everyone’s vehicle.
These are some very cool, kind and intelligent guys that know what they are doing.

Richard was great in communicating to me the problems on my car. Even though they weren’t the ones who repaired it (only because they no longer do head work), they took care of putting enough anti-​freeze and water in it, so I could get it back home for the next tow to another repair shop. I appreciate the honesty and assistance I received at Roger Jordan’s Garage.

They saved me over $ 500. Took my Nissan originally to Intown Auto in Decatur and was diagnosed needing a new alternator besides battery for $ 690. Roger Jordan quoted $ 577. So I picked up car and brought to RJ Garage. They call me within an hour saying you don’t need an alternator, just a battery. Thank you for being honest Roger Jordan Garage!

Best garage in town! Neil usually works on my vehicles. Him and the rest of the staff is extremely knowledgable and trustworthy. If I ever take my vehicle elsewhere, it’s because they are too busy and can’t always get to me in the time I need them too. However, I do not consider this to be an issue in this industry unless you are major conglomerate like Goodyear or the like. For my money, my first choice is always Roger Jordan!

It should be noted, I never write reviews. Even when I have a bad experience, I shrug it off but these guys rubbed me the wrong way I felt it necessary to share my experience.
I was taken with all the glowing reviews I saw on Unilocal and Reddit for this place. After my experience with them, I feel like a crazy person for not seeing what everyone else raves about. I tried calling them 4 times, they finally pick up, and tell me it’s first come, first serve. So, I dropped my car off, overnight, thinking it would be taken care of before the next day. Wrong. I called around noon to check on it and «there’s still some cars ahead of you.» Fine. It’s getting later but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Call back at 3:30 and «there’s still a few cars ahead of you.»
This whole ordeal is simply silly so I go pick up my car to take to someone else. It’s Friday and they haven’t given me any inclination they’re getting to my car today, which means I’m car-​less for the weekend thanks to their lack of communication.
I’ve read the positive and negative reviews of this place and the negative ones all say the same thing; «they say they’re sorry.» Sure enough, all the owner does is say «sorry» and «our other mechanic is sick.» When you’re a business, apologizing for not doing the one thing you exist for is laughable. Excuses like this are simply useless and do not pay me back for the 2 Über rides I took to and from this establishment. Apologizing doesn’t account for the lackadaisical approach they have; making appointments is not a hard thing to do. People have schedules and being a slave to this silly business model is not worth your time.

The only place I trust my car. They have helped me too many times with my car, and I rely on them as my trusted mechanics. They are near the Inman Park Marta station and Little five Points.

I came here based on the Unilocal reviews and was definitely not disappointed! I had a headlight out and they fixed it on the spot. They were also very honest and gave me good recommendations on where to take my car for a couple of other issues — no hesitation in telling me that they could do it but it would be more expensive and probably take longer. I really appreciated their honestly and helpfulness!

My Acura broke down when I was on my way home and I found these folks on Unilocal near my house. I took the car in (on it’s last legs) and they diagnosed it, gave me an estimate and had it fixed by 11am the following day!
Honest, professional and friendly. I will definitely use them again.

I have taken multiple cars here multiple times, each resulting in excellent work at a fair price. When asked to do a repair related to a previous, tangentially-​related repair of another part by another shop, they helpfully explained an alternate way to have done the first repair that would have prevented the second. When quoting an estimate, they did more research than average to give several options for replacement parts from multiple suppliers at varying price points.
They are not the very best at calling you back or being able to correctly estimate when a piece of work will be done. However, I will still be taking my car to them again the next time a problem I can’t handle arises.

I am going to reiterate what most of the other reviewers have said. These guys are awesome! Honest, knowledgable, quick, and reasonable. Exceptional service for a reasonable price.

Airbag light on … $ 79 for a dealership to even begin to look at it — less than $ 20 at Roger Jordan … problem researched and solved before I even asked. I initially went in for another problem, which other mechanics couldn’t figure out. Neil had it taken care of in no time and then went above and beyond to take care of my airbag light issue!!!

This guys are awesome. We’ve been taking our cars there for about 2 years now. They are very thorough, very honest and do a wonderful job. The best part? They let you know what’s going on at all steps of the process, they always call before any work is done, and after that, they provide you with a detailed list of everything done to the car, including receipts for parts and such. They always go the extra mile trying to find for you the best and most affordable solution.
The only thing that kind of sucks is that they only do American and Japanese cars. My car is German and I recently had a terrible experience with another shop in the neighborhood that made me appreciate the guys at Roger Jordan even more.

It seems the only people writing bad things on here about Roger Jordans Garage are Bad people to begin with. Its easy to see what kind of person you are when you refer to someone as «Old Man» when you are talking about him. By the way their happens to be two older gentleman who work there, they do look alike because they are brothers.
I have been going there for a couple of years now, (people keep trying to steal my vehicle) and I have never had a problem with them.
I am a Flight Attendant and see crappy, nasty people everyday and these fine folks do not fin into that category at all.

I can’t say enough how much I love this garage. I bought a lemon this year and it spent more time at the garage and broken down then I did driving it. The guys at Roger Jordan were kind, courteous, took the time to let me vent about the p.o.s. I bought and fixed it-​the first time. Unfortunately, it needed way more work. It was more expensive to do the work than the vehicle was worth. They called me back when they said they would and what they quoted me was what I was charged. They arranged for me to scrap the vehicle on their lot, didn’t charge a dime for storage. I will continue to use them and recommend them to everyone.

Nice and very knowledgeable guys, but terrible at communication.
I called them on a Monday morning and asked them how busy they were. They told me they were surprisingly slow, so I explained my issue to them and they told me to go ahead and bring the car in. I got there at 11:15 and spoke with one of the senior guys (he was very friendly). He told me they’d take a look at the car that day and call me back with an estimate. He also warned me that if they had to make a repair, they might have to keep the car overnight (which was no problem). At 5 PM, I hadn’t heard from anyone. I called their office and spoke with the guy that I met at the office. He explained that they hadn’t had much time to look at the car, but he thought they knew enough to put a quote together and he’d call me back with it in a few minutes.
I didn’t hear from anyone until the next morning, after I called them and left a message asking them for the quote. They told me they’d identified two potential issues, and were able to give me separate quotes. I asked them to fix the more critical issue, and he told me that they’d have to order parts from the dealership and that the parts would take a day to arrive. They estimated that they’d be able to complete the repair in the morning of the next day and that the car would be ready no later than late afternoon.
I called them at 1 PM on the 3^rd day, expecting the work to be completed and my car to be ready. My call went straight to their answering machine, so I left a message asking them to call me back. I waited two hours and still hadn’t heard from anyone, so I called again. The guy I spoke to told me that they hadn’t received the part, and that they’d have to keep my car another day. I understand that it’s not their fault if the parts don’t get delivered, but they should’ve called me to let me know about it.
By 1:30 PM on Thursday (the 4^th day that my car was at their shop), I hadn’t heard from anyone regarding the status of the repair. I decided to call them find out when I could pick my car up, and they informed me that they were still putting my car back together and that it wouldn’t be ready for a while. I asked them if they knew when it’d be ready, and they couldn’t give me an estimate. I finally told them that I was coming to get the car and it needed to be ready by the time I got there.
They repaired my car and the final price matched the estimate that they gave me. they were also nice enough to talk to me about a couple of minor issues that they’d spotted, and recommended a timeframe for dealing with them. They also acknowledged that they don’t have enough staff to man the phones very well. If they can get better about communicating with customers regarding delays, I’d be happy to take my car back to them.

my teenager’s car broke down a couple of miles nearby. I had to research places quickly to give the tow company an address. I seen all the great reviews and decided to bring it hear. The car registered no codes which means it would be very difficult to figure out what was wrong with the car. They found out immediately, and trust me it was a very tricky problem. I would trust this place with every car I have. They are the BEST!

I talked with Bill and Don Jordan and decided to give them a try when my Dakota blew a freeze plug and was leaking coolant like crazy. I’m a car guy and can do most repairs myself but didn’t have time to do this repair. This shop was fabulous. Their estimate was in line, the work was done on time and the price stayed in the estimate range. Highly recommend these guys. They are long time residents of Inman Park and their family has run this shop since the late forties. I usually take my cars to a trusted shop in Canton, Ga … this is my new shop!

I’m relatively new to Atlanta and drove my ’99 Jeep Grand Cherokee down from Boston when I moved — it’s a work horse and I love it. Months later, I saw that the car was leaking coolant as if I were just pouring it on the pavement. I had planned a weekend trip and wanted to get my car fixed while I was traveling.
I searched Unilocal for recommended garages and Roger Jordan Garage was the clear front runner. I gave them a call and they were really nice and personable over the phone (told me how it was a family run business, what work they had on their plate, etc.).
I dropped off my car on Thursday right as they were closing. They were even nice enough to let my fiancée (a.k.a. my ride), who had forgotten her phone at home, to use their phone to confirm that I was on my way.
They took a look at the car on Friday morning and called with a quote. Then called me again on Saturday, saying that it was taking them a bit longer than expected since they were trying to salvage some of the old, very rusty, parts to save costs.
Having read a few of the negative reviews that reference bait and switch pricing, I was half-​expecting the extra trouble they experienced with the rusty parts to affect my final cost.
Happily, it did not. To the cent, I paid what was quoted and they were just as friendly on pick-​up as they were at drop-​off.
I would definitely recommend them and use them again (knock on wood) should I have to.
